The gamer, a recent manga I have recently been addicted too. Somehow the theme where life becomes a game is appealing to me. One can only dream to have that kind of ability, but alas it is merely a wish. Where are my manners, my name is Zed, an eighteen year old collage student and somewhat of an otaku, I have black hair, brown eyes and 5'6 in height. I have a lean build with a bit of fat due to my lazy nature. I am a fan of games especially Rpg, over the years, my love for games took root in fantasy manga and novels.

These stories are a world on itself, I even tried my hand at writing fanfiction. One would assume with my vast knowledge of game resources and fantasy novels that writing a story is easy, I tell you it's not. Writing a story is a new world in itself, stories are fickle and almost the good ideas are already posted out there but nonetheless I feel like writing my stories even if they're not popular. Now enough about little old me, and let's get on with the story.

One night when a shooting star twinkled in the sky, I made a wish to be in the gamer manga with the gamer ability. It's a silly wish I know, but one can only dream, with that thought in mind, I slept in my bed.

The next morning I woke up in a different bed. I was confused with my situation when I saw a blinking screen in front of me. Curiosity got the better of me and I clicked on it, a sudden window screen appeared in front of me which shocked me. It took 5 minutes to calm down before I began to see the message in front of me.

Now one might think I'm all set, but I do fall into the dominion of Gia and anything that I use that will affect the world in a huge way and goodbye Zed. I also have to avoid abyss inhabitants such as human trafficking and kidnapping ability users for their energy, maybe I bit off more than I can chew.

From what I can remember, Illusion barriers can be monitored, so I have to be careful if I don't want to get bagged and tagged. Luckily I have some money provided for me, so I took my wallet and searched for a weapon store.

Did I mention that finding a weapon store is like finding a needle in a haystack?. I searched for 5 hours, I was about to give up when I heard a bunch of teens mentioned an authentic weapon store around the corner. I eagerly went to the store and browsed all their weapons. I was browsing so intently that I received a 'ping' sound.

Through continuous observation, a skill to find the target's information, [Observe], was created.

"Wow." I thought as I begin to use this skill on the vast selection of weapons that it leveled it to level 3.

I did find a unique item though searching the store.

Regenerating mp is like a slow struggle, it's 1 mp per minute. I tried meditation, it was really hard finding your center and taking a calm attitude to serene peace. It was really comfortable that I did not realize that I spent thirty minutes in that state.

After my delicious meal, I decided to meditate for a while and then I went sleep. I slept like a log and woke up early for some major training.

"Ack, I forgot." I said as I looked at my options and toogled my options on the Illusion barrier settings and put the options to give me a notice when I bump into another Illusion barrier.

I quickly packed for the day for a major training montage as I headed to a park. I put my hand up and Imagined my magic to create an Illusion barrier.

My day went well and I decided it was finally time to head home. I raised my hand and Imagined going back to the real world and poured in my mana

My world turned to normal and the once destroyed place was now back to normal, really convenient too, that damage would have attracted unwanted attention. After my day of training, I went home and took a bath. I then cooked for dinner and did some Zen meditation for its calming effect, then went to sleep.

The next day, I went to the park and try my hand at zombies. The zombies were really nasty buggers, but with my masterful luring and unleashing my spinning compressed mana sphere, I leveled up pretty nicely. I hit the one hour mark and I am now level 3.

On a side-note, the zombies are acting wierd, they all started to combine and formed a legion zombie.

-Assembly of zombies full of resentment. When a large amount of zombies feel threatened due to mass hunting, they merge into a legion zombie. It has no magical abilities, but has immense strength and stamina. It is however, very slow.

"Oh, big target ahoy." I said as I threw some spinning compressed mana sphere through the big target.

I only managed to throw two spinning compressed mana sphere skills which were six spheres in total and all of the damage were all critical. Unfortunately it barely give a dent so I was forced to withdrawed. That Legion Zombie is sure ugly, if you know what I mean.

"Huff, huff, huff, WTF was that!, I know the manga made it look nice, but man that shit is scary." I said panting.

After resting for a couple of minutes, I finally calmed down. After cutting out my losses I decided to use the ID escape and go home to take a bath, eat then sleep.

The next day I woke with my sore body and forced my self to do my daily morning routine and necessities including a bath, morning exercise and breakfast. After finishing my morning habbit, I decided to explore the city.

Unfortunately, my plan came to an unlucky snag as I was spotted by a police near a school and assumed that I was a student there where I strongly denied.

Unluckily for me, the same entity that sent me here got my papers done at ******** school without my knowledge. On the the bright side, my school uniform and school supplies were handed down to me, the down side is that I got saddled up with Han Jee Han's class.

I headed up to my new seat and made with Han Jee Han, a young man in his late teens with dark brown hair and brown eyes. I'm very sorry to inform you guys of this.

I'm not stopping from writing the novel it's just that I'm taking some rest. I was going to write the stories here and publish the chapters last week but it's just that my condition is not in a very good state now. The avenue to which I attained success wasn't really the common route so with my success as a web novelist who transitioned to paperback, I was met with many skeptics. People who associated the vain sensationalism of viral YouTube videos to the viral reach of my books online. "Well I kept count, 337. I surely became a man whore who fathered two children and could only pay for their child support. I was more of a provider than a real father. I was in a rather emotionally inept moment in my life, seeking the vices to make me forget the vanity of my work. I fucked, I smoked  and I drank. I think I probably drank more than I should have but my liver seemed to be strong enough to keep me going. Regardless of this morbid state, I continued to write hit after hit, confusing right?" he said, drinking his 20th cup.
"Yeah, this sounds like you are giving yourself more baggage than you deserve. Fuck, I think I am drunk. Is this how being drunk feels. Man I feel like I am in my body but not in it." he said, cracking a smile and breaking into laughter.





"Well alcohol is a fantastic poison, made to numb your pain. So, I became a manic mess and a rather cynical person who began to judge the merits of people's works. I became a bigot of the elite, but even the standards that the elite held were just weightless pillars that people like me wished to stand on. In the end I was chasing what could not be attained and my refusal to accept that made me take my life. Well probably the rock and roll lifestyle had taken its toll on me as well so I had to pull the plug. I at least left my children a huge will for them to live their lives in luxury without me. Yeah, I self terminated because I was a complicated mess." he said, drinking his 22nd cup which became his last. Tinashe had finally knocked out and John laughed at him for being a weak lad who only lasted 6 cups. John really regretted his thought process when he had taken his life and figured that he was a stubborn atour trying to find the universally accepted peak of art. His desire to make the timeless critical darling.





As the morning dew lifted, John was the first one to wake up. He checked the pulsating notification for his inventory slot and noticed that he gained the mithridatism stat. The alcohol poisoning levels had triggered this stat to appear and he was at 2%. John marvelled at this new addition and then decided to wake up Tinashe to celebrate, Tinashe was long gone, inebriated and suffering from a hangover. The actual act of waking him up was quite an annoying feat for John. Tinashe felt like he had a severe migraine and he longed or something to ease the pain. John cracked open a coconut and made him ingest the liquid. Soon enough, the young man adjusted to the intoxication and he too got to see his inventory slot show the mithridatism stat. John did a quick deduction and associated the word which was related to inoculation to how their bodies were dealing with the alcohol they drank the previous night. 






Tinashe was amazed by this and John insisted that he would probably grow a tolerance for not only alcohol and other things once once he increased his current 1% mithridatism. When they all got out of their blankets, John told him to pack up the blankets and they began to dine on the fruits that John had stocked up.. As they devoured their meal, one of the monkeys showed up and Tinashe just looked at it with much fear. John told the boy that there wasn't anything to fear, but Tinashe couldn't help but recall his brutal beating. Several monkeys then appeared and John began to take out more fruits and gave some of them to monkeys. Tinashe felt like he was observing a zoologist at work. The monkeys all ate peacefully, ignoring Tinashe who seemed shaken by this unnerving experience. John simply laughed it out as Tinashe grimaced. As soon as the monkeys had left, John then said to him, "Man was meant to conquer all animals, if you don't fear them then they won't have a reason to see your weakness. Anyways, you made me laugh though." Tinashe simply nodded and laughed it off. The two of them were about to start a journey together; one of training, discovery and emotional healing. John hoped to level up with this boy and to find others so that they could form a group of like minded individuals who would grow together and not opt for the assimilation method.





John and Tinashe had made a routine of training, exploring the island, taming the animals and building structures in the cave. John's approach to leveling up was making sure all his stats were balanced. Instead of rushing towards maxing out the first 4 stats to transition to level 2, he believed that having all his stats being high was better than only finessing only one facet of your inventory. A week passed with no sight of any life and the two of them began to think that maybe the others were not on the island. As they took time to explore the island, going past the gorge and the gigantic waterfall, they managed to find another beach. There they could hear the sound of something hanging on a tree. They ended up seeing a woman who was athletic, 5'9, wearing grey sweatpants and a torn up tank top. She was hanging on a coconut tree, trying to knock down the fruit. The latino looking girl with long hair looked pretty but at the same time bland. Without the filters of makeup, she was all natural and looked a bit pale. 





She managed to get a hold of the coconut and then jumped off, landing on the ground in a rather cool way. The girl noticed them and waved at them, excited to have actually seen someone. Though the two of them were happy to have finally found a new person who they could recruit, something bothered them. The girl looked familiar but they couldn't really pinpoint where they had seen her. Tinashe then uttered, "She looks like Maya Vijou, the pornstar or maybe they look alike." John then fixated on her appearance abit more and then nudged him on the back, "I guess even the ladies of the adult industry can be found in the afterlife. You have good eyes Tinashe, that is definitely the cum slut known as Maya Vijou." With this new turn of events, a highschool student, a famous writer and now a pornstar, things were about to get interesting for these 3 in Goshem.

A young man struggles with unemployment, failed dreams and overall becoming a useless member in society and decides to kill himself. Upon seeking this method of death, he encounters a being from the alternative realm who gives him an option of starting his life over from scratch, from level 1 on his planet. This gives him the chance to finally carve out a path for himself that he could never do on earth.

I managed to dodge every attack under extremely limited vision and made it before the Heaven-Rending Lightning Dragon.

「I knew it… It's just like in BBO.」

If the dragon was even slightly different from the one in BBO, I would've been dead a while ago. Just like the game, this world has magic and Skills; even the enemies were the same. Of course, not everything was identical. There were monsters here that weren't in BBO.

And now for the finishing touch, I chanted one more buffing spell. Its effects last only for a short amount of time so I couldn't cast it beforehand.

「Critical Field, Critical Enchant.」

These two spells buff my critical strike. If I bring out a critical blow now, it'll have 50 times more power than normal. If I'm not able to muster a critical strike, I won't be able to deal much damage at all. Normally, critical strike is only available to melee weapons… But there's actually a trick to it.

「Boulder Hammer.」

I used a mid-level earth-type spell. I was assaulted by a headache and a sense of lethargy.

It's the price of stacking multiple buff spells that have drawbacks. Using one spell consumes massive HP and MP.

Furthermore, because of my『Ultra-Extended Incantation』, it takes time for the spell to fully activate. Which is exactly why this combo will work.

「Take… this!」

Enduring the headache, I raised my staff above my head and brandished it in a full swing. Right before it hit the dragon, I loosened the power just a little bit.

Critical hit.
The staff's power was almost nil. But now in a full swing, its damage is amplified by 50 times. Still it's enough to penetrate the dragon's defense.

But it was not only my staff that dealt critical damage. The spell produced by my staff, the Boulder Hammer, with its activation delayed by the Ultra-Extended Incantation, was about to take shape.

The critical buff from my staff is extended to the spell as well.

The buff on myself totalled 324 times. The attribute buff 10 times. Critical buff 50 times. Multiply all the figures, 324x10x50, and you get a total of 162,000.

A boulder with 160,000 times more power materialized in the air and scored a direct hit on the Heaven-Rending Lightning Dragon.

I say a boulder, but that's only from a human's perspective. It's not that big for a dragon.

It shouldn't even deal much damage at all. But the tremendous power contained in the rock will prove that wrong.

It was only as big as the monster's arm, but it crushed the Heaven-Rending Lightning Dragon with the force of a gigantic meteor. The shockwave from the blast whipped up the surrounding dust into the air, blocking the dragon from view.

The Lightning Dragon shrieked in agony. I listened to the sound, perplexed.

「I haven't heard that one before.」

In BBO, I've heard twelve different kinds of the Dragon's death cry and this wasn't one of them. Well, this isn't a game anyway, so everything doesn't have to be the same.

I waited for the dust to settle. Then I realized something.

I've actually heard the cry before. A shriek that the dragon lets out when it receives substantial damage. In BBO, I almost always killed one in one shot so this is the first time that I've heard it in a while. Though I've heard it numerous times during my early days of taking on the monster.

Most of all, the creature should give enormous amount of exp, but I didn't level up. That only means one thing – the dragon is still alive.

Based on BBO data and calculations, that much power should have killed it.

Did I screw up? Maybe they have the same movement pattern as the ones in the game, but their HPs are different? Or the buff multiplier is different in this world than in BBO?

I was baffled by the unexpected turn of events. But my body still moved.

A battle never always goes in one's favor. One must not hesitate in taking action. When faced with an unforeseen situation, you must immediately come up with a solution. This is a skill I've mastered in BBO.

「Spell Release. Enhance Field.」

First I need to deactivate one of the buff Skills, Enhance Field. It's a Skill that increase the power of a spell in exchange for a massive amount of MP. By deactivating it, I'll have just enough mana to unleash one more attack. Its power will decrease by one-third, but it should be enough for a finishing blow.

「Boulder Hammer.」

Once again, I chanted the spell. After just a bit, the Dragon rose up and screamed in rage. At the same time, it started charging its magic attack: Lightning Strike Annihilation.

A Heaven-Rending Lightning Dragon's trump card. It's said that it's impossible to withstand the force of the attack – an ultra-powerful Skill. If I get hit, I'll be gone without a trace, literally. Utterly destroyed.

But I didn't try to dodge. I can't. Once the Dragon perceives you as an enemy, there's no way to avoid its attacks. There's only one thing to do: kill it before it kills me.

My Boulder Hammer's activation is just a tad faster. My staff is still in my hand. All I have to do is swing it and produce a critical hit.

If I missed the critical hit, I'm a goner. If I messed up the timing just a bit, I'm also dead.

Under such pressure, both my arms moved surprisingly smoothly. My body knows how to draw a critical hit.

At the same time I unleashed the critical strike, the Boulder Hammer struck the Heaven-Rending Lightning Dragon. This time it let out a familiar cry – one that can only be heard when it's dying. In that exact moment an enormous amount of exp flowed into me, and I felt my level shoot up.

A boy, born to a noble family, led a tragic life and in the end, met a tragic death. The next time he opened his eyes, he was in a world that resembled a VRMMO he played in his dreams. The inhabitants were ignorant even to the most basic concepts—concepts that would be considered common knowledge in a game—and kept on fighting inefficiently.

In this world, our protagonist, armed with his game knowledge, acquires the strongest job class there is—the Sage—and embarks on a quest to become the world’s strongest.

Several years after major nuclear events, followed by the rise of robotic armies, have caused the world to become post-apocalyptic. The year is 2276 and Earth is now full of anarchy, corruption and death. A lone woman carrying a large backpack, in the shape of a coffin, comes to a small post-apocalyptic town in the middle of Utah whose only existence rides on the Colorado River. There is a dam which provides water, food and transportation to the several thousand people who have been congregating in the re-growing town. Many had hoped to fix the hydroelectric station to rebuild their lives, but corruption brews. 

The lone woman stops at one of the bars and gets into a fight with some local gangsters who were mistreating a young girl outside. Causing her to become at odds with the gangs of the town. This is the instance that first roots our heroine, Lisa Cunningham, to save this town and prompted her to grow her Black Market Empire here! 

However, gangs are the least of her worries! Robotic army’s, rebellion militia, mutated monsters, mad cults, competing companies and lustful men ogled over her all the time!! Not to mention the strange events that slowly begin to happen around the girl, Hanna, that she saved. 

Yet there is more to Lisa than good looks alone. She has come back from over 200 years ago and is learning more about what has happened while she was in cryogenic sleep. How will she be able to survive in a hostile world and reach her own goals?
