"It's alright. I've done the theoretical tests, the practical tests, and the additional tests well, unless all the distinguished apprentices applied for the Heidler Magic College this year…" Donnie comforted himself in a low voice.
At this moment, the bell rang with a pleasant voice. Donnie came to an abrupt halt and hurried to turn on the home TV embedded on the wall. He saw that the snowflake-like spots spread out ripples on the screen. Gradually, a beautiful elf with pointy ears showed up.
"Welcome to 'Morning, Nature'. I believe you must be running out of patience. Hehe. I have in my hands the list of students admitted by the major magic colleges." The elf on the TV waved the paper before her. It was covered in a red band with a magic seal.
It was the school channel of "Nature's Heart School". There was a one-hour program in the morning, in the afternoon, and in the evening. They mostly reported the major events in school or "shared" the bad or hilarious mistakes that the apprentices made.
Looking at the paper that was unbelievably thick, Donnie felt that his heart was beating faster and faster. Even though he was holding his breath, he could still sense its pounding.
The elf dropped the paper and smiled. "Our apprentices have performed well this year. The ratio of admittance is higher than before. But of course, somebody must be very close to success too. However, those people need not be upset. You can choose to go to the Stroop Forest and learn after the druids. After the arcanists' years of work, the magic apprentices can be transformed into 'Nature's Guards' or druid apprentices easily…"
Donnie felt that his veins were bulging. The most important thing right now was to announce the list. Why was she talking so much? To make everybody more anxious and uneasy?
Thankfully, the elven lady quickly removed the seal without further ado. She broke the band and unfolded the paper. "Now, I will announce the students admitted by the Holt Magic College. The apprentices whose names are on the list should go to the president's office after nine to get your notice of enrollment and your rewards."
Right now, there were only nine magic colleges, but there were almost four hundred magic schools worldwide. It was a glorious thing for both the apprentice and the school to be admitted. That was why the president of the magic school was giving the notices of enrollment in person. As long as the apprentices who were admitted by the magic colleges did not slack off and give up, they all had good chances to become official sorcerers.

Inside the Knowledge Bookstore, Dollos looked at Donnie who had come late and observed the lingering excitement on his face. He smiled. "You've been admitted?"
"Yes, by the Heidler Magic College, on the studies of body structure and genetics." Donnie smiled brilliantly at whomever he met today.
As the studies in the microscopic domain went deeper and more detailed, as the models on the nature of the world and magic were basically established, and as the influences spread out to all the major fields, the arcanists had discovered that the knowledge was too enormous for them to learn. They could not study the basics of every school before they chose their favorite field like before. They had to specify the direction that they would like to work on in order to build the foundation well. Those who were not geniuses could hardly learn anything more than the fundamental knowledge of their own fields.
Of course, after they became middle-rank or senior-rank sorcerers and their longevity was extended, the arcanists still had to go back and study the basics of astrology, elements, and necromancy because astrology involved prophecy and fate, and the microscopic domain in the school of elements reflected the essence of the world. If they did not know it at all, their future studies might be greatly affected.

He introduced the beginning and evolution of the Original Body. Donnie listened very attentively. Although Karl had introduced it to him before in a much more detailed way, he wasn't in the mood to listen to it at all at that time.

The long magic steam train stopped at a dark and gloomy station. Donnie got off the train eagerly with his old black suitcase.
"So, is this Heidler?" Donnie looked around excitedly and curiously. He saw that the sky was gray and lackluster as if it were frozen, and that a vague mist was everywhere. Far away, the high, spiky magic towers that were in pitch black indicated the city's style that was different from any other cities on the continent.
As expected of the camp of necromancy… Donnie was not intimidated. Having braced himself for this, he felt that only such an appearance befitted Heidler's fame.
It was the middle of August, and the sunlight was burning hot outside. However, there was nothing but paleness and heartfelt chill when the sunlight got into Heidler.
Donnie moved his eyes back and searched for the signs in the station. After he finished Dollos' contract, there was no time for him to go home. After all, Heidler was the college whose semester began earliest.
"The freshmen of the magic college will gather in 152, Ghoul Street…" Donnie soon found the announcement and read the content on it.
"How to reach Ghoul Street?" Donnie frowned at the map of Heidler that he bought from a small dealer on the train. It was full of zigzagging and dizzying twists and turns.
Looking around, Donnie picked up his suitcase and walked to a worker who was busy cleaning the station. "Hello, could I ask you the way? I am a freshman at the Heidler Magic College."
The cleaner suddenly raised his head, only to reveal his rotten face, dim bones, and the two deep black holes in his eye sockets. Donnie was so scared that he almost cried out loud.
Although he had dissected cadavers, summoned zombies, and crafted stitched bodies before, it was still a horrifying experience to run into a decayed corpse in the middle of a day without any warning.
The "cleaner" struggled to shake his head. He then lowered his head as he continued to clean the station.
So, this is Heidler… Donnie's tone had changed greatly.
"Donnie!" A familiar voice came from far away. Donnie turned around in surprise, only to discover that somebody was waving his arms at the entrance of the state. The ghost on his back was also waving its fuzzy hands. It was Sammy.

Well, let's start from the beginning then.
My name is Thomas moore, I'm 23 years old. Although I'm this old, I'm still studying in college, it's not my fault, as I study medicine, and studying medicine takes time. 
In my country, which is a poor country like myself, studying medicine takes about 7 years, of which 3 years normal study, and other 3 years clinical study, and the last year is the internship year, where we go to hospitals and train to be the future doctors.
Looking back to my past, I didn't excel at anything except studying, no sports achievements, no hobbies, no talents… no wait, there is one, which is the ability to notice every single little detail in front of me. 
I'm a good listener and expert level observer, which helped me a lot in my medical studies, or so I thought, or how do you explain someone like me with no family background and no wealth at all gets to score very high in every exam in the college? 
Frankly I don't know the answer except I work hard, harder than anyone else in my friends, but since when did any hard worker get his desired dreams?
The answer is none, my late father worked very hard to die suddenly from work stress, and my late mom, well let's not speak about her for now.
In brief, I'm alone, all alone, with no family, no money, no heritage, and no one to help me in this college. To be honest, I only entered here because I got high marks in the national exams which put me in the lead of the list of candidates to join the college. 
When I got the news back then, I was happy, and afraid. Studying medicine was very costly, as the ones who graduate from this college will make a lot of money. I really needed money, but I don't have any for now to support my studies, so it was normal for me to panic back then.
When I got to the entrance exams or the selection court as some folks used to call it, I knew there was a way out for me. In college, there was a supporting program for poor students just like me. 
Although I have my honor, I had to go there and take monthly support from them to be able to continue my studies here, and the money I took was really enough for me to study and live a normal life.
My monthly allowance was 2k bit coins, which was enough to pay for my medical books and other stuff at the college. 
What remained from it wasn't enough for me to live in my own rented apartment, so I had to apply to live in the university dormitory of students, where I used it only to sleep and rarely to study. I don't even remember the names or the looks of my roommate, as I rarely met him.
My life was only for college and study, so I had zero fun at my college life, which is something I regret, but not too much. Without giving away the fun, I wouldn't get these high scores at the college final evaluation results.
Well, don't get me wrong, as medical college isn't that boring. I know many students there, who lived their life as they wished, rode the latest model cars, went to anyplace they wanted and visited many countries in the summer, and guess what? They also had high scores like me, or even better.
Life isn't fair, that was the first lesson that I learned in life, so I wasn't that depressed when I checked the list of names of the entire student in my year and their final grades. 
Evaluation in my medical college wasn't based on a single year alone, as it was a sum of my grades in the six years as a whole. It's not fair too, as some years have more scores than the others, especially the clinical ones, but what can I do about it? It's the college system after all.
Don't have a bad impression about me, I don't have any mental illness or suffer from any old deeply rooted psychological trauma, I just wanted to achieve one thing in my life, which is to become rich… very rich. Doctors in my country earn a lot of money annually, but that applies only to the most successful ones. 
To reach their stage, I have to go from success to another, and as a practical person like me who knows exactly his own limits, I can only gamble with my effort, hopefully, I can win.
That was the summary of my life for six years, all my goals and dreams and suffering, all the long nights that I spent alone studying inside the college studying rooms to avoid going back to the students' dormitory, all of this resulted in one single final result, which is I got nominated to be an internship in the college.

Cherry was making some notes to help su han's assignment sitting on a chair near window in the library. she was so focused on study that didn't even notice the time. the library was fully empty, no one was there except cherry. She put her notes into her bag and stood up to leave the library. she just reached at library door, suddenly Daniel appeared infront of her and blocked her way.

Daniel was watching her panic expression and his face became darkened. he clutched his phone tightly. He wanted to say a lots of things to her but end up being speechlless with extreme pain and anger in his heart.
Daniel walked out from the library like a strome.Cherry took a deep breath with relieve. she didn't stay any longer and headed back to home.
Next day cherry was buying a pen from the college, she was searching her bag for small money to pay the bills but couldn't find any.on that time Daniel appeared there, he paid her bills to cashier and left without saying anything.
Next day cherry was trying to get a can coffee from college vending machine but couldn't get it,she was pressing the button again again but failed .at that moment again Daniel appeared from nowhere,he threw a punch on the vending machine and left.
Cherry stood there dumbfounded and after few seconds later she noticed her can coffee in the take out port.

Red and thick liquid stains my wrists, sticky.  I grunt, clenching my teeth for not being careful.  I'm never careful in twitching the veins to make the blood rushing for the nice feeling that I feel when the blood oozing in strong pressure as if teasing my fangs, tongue, and the whole mouth before it goes down my throat.  

But it doesn't feel as good as the real blood of human.  Damn you Alessandro! If it's not because of him, I'd not penetrate my fangs into some disgusting and poor animals' veins which are nothing compare to humans'.  

Blood bag is an option for me most of the time.  But that's not fresh and there's no thrill of the blood rushing like in humans veins.  Drinking from blood bag makes me feel like a baby being fed with milk in a bottle, not comparable to breastfeed.  

I dip my hands into the lake, washing the blood stain off my wrists and enjoying the freshness of the water.  It must be good being drown in the lake forgetting the fact that I can never feel how good it feels being in natural place and let the nature restore my energy and reduce the stress.  

No, I won't ever feel that anymore.  Being a vampire is nothing like human, all plain.  Every emotion and feel inside isn't natural.  They work like a switch that I can turn on or off anytime.   

Real vampires live on the feels and emotions of humans.  And how do we do it? The best way is by drinking their blood.  By that, the rush of emotions and feels will fill in as we drink from the veins.  We can feel the adrenaline and whatever the humans feel as we dry them out.

The only good thing about being a vampire has been robbed from me.  I used to live like how a real vampire should be but my brother never ceases to put me back in track.  He sure makes it his life mission to keep me sane.  I know how to control myself not to kill them but he's persistent about taking blood from human as less as possible.

If a vampire could be a saint, Alessandro matches the criteria of one.  He drinks an ounce of blood from blood bag per day only enough to make him in control and fulfill the need.  All his life, he's dedicated his time to the good of human kind, being their protector and savior in any humanly way possible; doctor, soldier, and more.  

I thought there would be a period of time when he'd be bored of being good because it seems so boring to me being that good considering what we really are.  Actually that's ridiculous to me.  But Alessandro isn't me.  I'm absolutely not him either.  I can't be living the way he lives.  If only I didn't promise to make things right, I'd not agree to his terms.  

Life sucks already since the day I decided to be a vampire and it couldn't suck worse than the fact that I have to live it the way Alessandro does.  I wonder how he does this lifestyle for over 500 hundred years.  

I turn around at the cracking of a weapon caught by my acute hearing. "Shit!" I curse right at a bullet penetrates my hand.  Blood is oozing out of the wound. "Damn it!" I just cleaned my hands and now I get them bloody again.  

I pull the bullet out of my hand roughly.  The sides are scratching my skin, causing the wound wider. "It'll be your fault if I need human blood now to recover.  You shed my blood!" I shout at the person holding the gun.  

"Sorry, I'm doing midnight patrol." Alessandro stands beside me. "Go home Freya! I won't tell you twice." He blends in the dark with all those dark outfit, black shirt and jeans.  

I scoff.  My hand is playing with the wooden bullet that I took out of the back of my left hand.  There's this sting and burning sensation when the surface touch my skin.  Vervain, it can't be any other than that.  

Staring at the gun on his hand, I swing my hand in a sudden snatching the gun and with no second thought I shoot him on the legs twice.  

"How does that feel huh?" I smirk, seeing him groan in pain and slowly bend on his knees. "I'll keep the gun. I'm going to be your partner in crime, right?" I wink.  I never use a gun before, it's quite effective though. "Wow it's pretty cool toy."  
 
I can hear his struggling breathing while taking out the bullets of his tight.  He's growling and panting.  My sight sees how he scars deep his own flesh.  Using his finger, he fractures the tissues around the wound and stops at every burning touch that makes his fingers jolt.  

"Need a hand?" I tease him.  I tap his shoulder and he slaps my hand off him. "Or my blood? Brother, you seem struggling, too much for a vampire."

His chest is heaving, eye staring sharp at me and the veins around his eyes are popping out around them, blackish blue.  The muscles on his arms are flexing but I don't expect him to make a move with that condition.  Or so I thought wrong to underestimate him.  

With the clink of bullets hit the water surface, he pushes me to the edge of the lake until we both are drowning.  I'm reaching for the collar of his shirt, up for the fight that he proposes by doing the harsh grabbing on my arm and twisting me.  
  
I look down and see the weak spot on his wounded thigh which still recovers slowly and blood is seeping through it.  Stretching my arm, I dip my head down and waste no other second to attack the wound with one crushing by my hand.  

He jolts, eyes looking like about to pop out, mouth wide open.  I sneer at his blood stain on my hand but gets washed over by the water.  His tense muscle is getting weak and I let him go.  I get on the surface, bringing him up with me.  

If I leave him in the water, he could be drained of blood and desiccated until blood came in his sense of smell that would wake the beast inside of him.  

"Take it down!" after I bit my vein, I press it on his mouth.  My other hand holds his head and I force my blood on him until he swallows it down his throat just enough to help him recover faster.  

He wipes the blood which stains the tip of his lips with his thumb, very carefully. "I enroll you to the local college." That's the first thing he says when he finally manages to breathe normally.  That's how I know Alessandro is Alessandro.  

"What the hell do you think? I have graduated from university too many times.  I don't want to go back in classes anymore.  I'm sick of it." 

Because of my age which is forever 21, I had studied in university for different majors with bachelor and master degree.  I had tried university in almost every country I had been in every decade of my life.  

My brother and I decided to go back to our second home, Afton, after we heard the news about random attacks which no security department can solve.  Alessandro wants to start over and helps to sort things out in my messed up life.  

Out of all the things I need and want to do here, going to college is the last thing in my list or not even in my list.  That's in his list, not mine ever.  I had enough of it.  

"It keeps you occupied and less time to go wild." 

I laugh at his stupid reason.  College does nothing in keeping me in control.  Otherwise, some of my mistakes were made in college.  I don't know what in his mind is and how his experiences in college were, but clearly his experiences and mine aren't comparable.  

"Can't I just work in a company? Be a doctor, eh? Or doing some artsy job like painting," I grin. "Okay I'm kidding I hate painting." 

He says simply. "You can have it all.  Just make yourself busy with humanly matters." 

So that's how his basic terms on starting over our life, my life to be exact.

However, while figuring out how to work things out, she enjoys her vampire life so much that she only causes more problems on the way. 

What matter is this time she vows to take care of everything.  Quoting from her very own brother, Alessandro Milano “You ruin everything you touch.” 

Freya was once innocent human, badass vampire, but who knows? She can be the heroine who will put the villains to rest not in peace.  

Sure it won’t be easy.  No one says it will be easy.  It takes time, sacrifice, struggle, absolutely blood and a lot more blood.  This may seem your normal supernatural genre but it’s deeper and more intricate than it seems.  Nevertheless, there will be romance that balances the cruelty.
