Dowan starts living with Isabela, the object of his unrequited love. One night, Isabela goes into Dowan's room with a different look in her eyes and starts demanding for sex. 'Did you remember to check if they had toilet paper?' Ophi reminded, causing me to groan and roll over to my side.

'If there is a lack of toilet paper, I'll just wave my hand and all the shit will go away.' To think my powers would stoop to the point where it would be removing shit.

'Hmph. About the brat...you don't intend to guide him as an esper? You hardly know about the laws of this world much less his mental health.' Ophi mentioned, particularly about my lackluster diagnosis of his PTSD despite not having the credentials of a psychologist.

'Magic and psionic don't seem to differ as much, as long as the correct results are displayed. I've read enough stories ranging from high fantasy to self-insert fan-fiction to understand the simplistic application of mana and its nonsense.' I telepathically answered, yet managed to mumble something indiscernible from my mouth. It wasn't as if I cared or was in any way fascinated with magic. Power is power.

Ophi curled closer until his cool scales rested against my back. 'Why bother again in offering help to him?'

There was no specific answer for the question and I wonder to myself as well. Was it sympathy, pity, or something else? Just the thought of sympathizing lingered uncomfortably and a flick of annoyance to spread in my guts.

'Other than increasing the probability rate for his un-summoning of me; stop asking me stupid questions that you already know the answer to.' I disregarded any other sentiments and drew my sights out into the open window, revealing a pleasant view of the unpolluted sky. It was probably the only semblance of awe that is rarely seen back on Earth in the midst of the dense city lights.

The next day, I had a surprisingly revelation that the school had the day off. The brat once again appeared in front of my temporary dorm room, offering to give me a tour around the campus with me halfway applying the last remaining makeup.

"Before that, is there a place where I can get breakfast?"

He showed me a troubled look, "Breakfast past already..." he defeatedly explained causing my eyes to narrow a bit. "B-but lunch will be in an hour!" He scrambled to answer.

I decided to shrug it off and instead munch on a piece of luxury chocolate meant for an offering to a deceased enemy. Despite being at fault for waking near noon, my pride prevented me to acknowledge it as I silently observe him guiding out the dormitories. Sure enough, he acted as nothing transpired last night, which may have been for the better or worse.

Contrary to my expectations, the academy was exceptionally huge less gothic Hogwarts looking and more lavishly endowed with white marble pillars supporting the endless halls with Romanesque themed ceilings. Large acre wide greenery surrounded the school and dotted in expertly in some areas, as we made a sharp turn away from one of the various courtyards.

"How much do you think that gold encrusted torch is worth?" I asked motioning towards the jeweled inlaid torch against the wall with its nice golden luster. My mouth drooled at such sight while making a mental checklist to bring back some souvenirs.

"About 2,000 gold coins?" the brat half guessed.

Converting it to Euros was a bit difficult, but it didn't matter as long as the jewels and gold were genuine. If I were to guess the appropriate worth, five handbags and a second ticket to Yucatan seem sufficient.

"Where are we going? And why do I not see any students around?" I asked scanning the towering building which seemed to be the main library of the academy.

"Most students use the days off to visit home while I need to teach you how to write. We can use the academy's library since its open all year round," he explained, dodging a flying textbook that rivaled an average law student's textbook before it joined back to its flock and towards its next migration.

We took a seat to the most secluded area in the library, despite the library being barren but I brushed it aside as a loner's habit.

"I'm curious about your kind. You mentioned something about yi-spher?" He began to probe and throw nonsensical questions as we seated ourselves comfortably.

"Espers," I corrected and grimaced when he took out a stack of coarse aged paper that yellowed near the edges along with his sloppy ink-set. He pushed the paper to me and rushed to find a book that I could use to guide myself for the upcoming torture that would transpire for the next year or two.

I looked at the piece of paper and wondered when was the last time I took a pen and wrote like I was in the prison called school. It didn't help that school starts after the day off is over, and a 24-year old would be situated in a classroom full of angsty hormonal driven teenage chimpanzees.

Suddenly finding herself not in Yucatan but in a dingy lit room, the young esper Ran finds herself stuck in some fantasy backwater place with no soft toilet paper.

"Combat Training. Apparently I am in something called the military program..." Alistair recalls information from the schools guide he read at the library.

He begins to make a mental checklist of what he knows and does not know that he feels is imperative to survival.

"One: It seems that the majority of my studies are centered around war tactics and training. I wonder how often attacks from the wilds occur that would cause the need for a formalized military. Everything seemed so peaceful when I got here." He recalls the drive through the valley and town.

"Two: I am not a normal person...at all. Everywhere I read, people start out as tinier versions of themselves called babies, and their ability to learn is nowhere near mine when I was studying. I will need to find out what I am, Sebastian said I am undead but there are no records of an undead like me. Depending on the answer though, I might be in a bad situation."

"Three: I need to know so much more than I do right now, but for some reason I feel so sluggish... I will have to find a way to get that learning ability back as fast as possible!"

He decides to ignore the problems that are weighing down on him for now and closes his eyes while laying on the bed. Trying to get the ability to refresh his mind that he read from books called sleep.

 However, when more than a half hour goes by and he does not feel the slightest bit tired, he starts having doubts about whether or not he even can sleep. He decides to take a stroll outside for the night after much deliberation of whether or not to keep trying to sleep.

As he walks out the dorm area and into the open square with dark thunder clouds hanging above him. Their normal sounds amplified as a signal of a heavier storm than normal descending upon the land. A rare rainfall accompanying it.

Curious of seeing his first rainfall, Alistair sticks his hand out into it and notices that despite seeing the thick and heavy raindrops pelt his skin, he does not feel anything from it. He decides to walk out in it to help clear his head from the day. 

Strolling around the open square the size of two football fields, he sees one person practicing complicated martial arts moves in the rain underneath a few trees, seemingly shadowboxing. From the dead grass and mud underneath of him, it's apparent that this spot is used a lot for practice.

"He is really training hard, it almost looks as if there really is an opponent for him to fight." Alistair has this passing thought as he continues on walking around, accidentally stepping in a pile of mud, causing his newfound distaste for dirt to spike up. Just as he takes a few steps away though he smells the familiar scent of blood.

Due to his meal earlier, even though it does entice him, it does not drive him to the point of insanity. However it does startle him and he turns his head back to look at the man practicing in the rain, only to see the upper half of his body missing from him.

He looks at the scene in complete horror, because he sees the upper half of his body being played with in the hands of a familiar face. A hulking figure, a figure that is not human, a beast. Smiling in the now torrential downpour, the beast tears off the mans head and tosses it at Alistair.

He does not move after that, only smiling a sickening smile standing as if a statue in the pouring rain. Alistair looks at the head by his feet and notices the scalp has been removed revealing the brain housed inside.

He feels his head start to buzz as if a whirling sound threatens to tear his head apart from the inside the moment he sees the brain. He reaches down towards it and mechanically puts the brain towards his mouth. He feels conflicted eating though, his willpower telling him that this is a person. 

The face flashes from the boys face to it being Beths face he has in front of him, to Roger, Mrs. Diamond, and more. He tries to fight against his bodies impulse to eat it, but his instincts are too strong. He takes one bite and as soon as he does, the spiral in his brain recovers to it's previous speed.

He knows that if he eats the entire brain that he could very likely experience an evolution in his processing and learning ability. He does not care about that though, all he can think of is something he never knew he would treasure so much until now, his morals.

After the first bite he is given the ability to control his body slightly better than before and with all of his willpower he tosses the head away to the side, splashing into the mud. It's face still directed at Alistair.

Alistair falls to his knees feeling sick to his stomach for the first time. Coming to grips with the hard reality that even if he wanted to stop himself, if his body demanded him too, he would be forced to eat those he cared for.

He looks up at the beast with a heartbroken look in his eyes, the rain hitting his face starting to let up. He sees the beast standing right in front him looking down at him with disgust, "You can't even grow with my help. Pathetic, next time I come by, you better have grown or else I'll just have to eat you before you are ready. I am not known as someone you can keep waiting after all."

The beast waves his hand in front of Alistair, making the spiral inside of his head to freeze in place, causing Alistair to fall unconscious and fall to the ground.

Alistair wakes up in his bed the next morning feeling refreshed, the spiral in his mind moving at top speed once again and his stomach barely satiated enough to make it until lunch. He feels that the entire experience from last night to be something he read about called a nightmare.

He now knows what his top priority is because of it though, gain control of himself. If he can not control his impulses, his life will be one tragedy after another. He jumps up from his bed, puts on his muddy shoes and walks to his first class.

It's my first novel and I am writing here to just get some feedback. Please don't hold back and give me everything you got. I'll take mindless rants and very constructive good criticism. I just appreciate the fact that you took the time to read and review if you did!

Further update. This novel is now on pause. I have been taking everything in from the experience of writing this novel, both positive and negative feedback. I will revisit this novel in the future after I get a more concise picture of what direction to take it in. In the meantime, I am going to be writing another novel on my own time and after I finish it, I will begin the daily upload process. After I finish, I will come back and revise this story on my own time and re-post it after fixing everything I want to fix.

Jo is working as an event coordinator, in a Commercial and Advertising Company. It deals with newly established buildings, restaurant and hotels, etc. The Company promotes and advertised the places by organizing an event and introducing it the new buyers and investors or something similar to that.



She is fully in-charge with respect of organizing parties, meetings and weddings. Just imagine how frustrating it is to organize a wedding event in her situation. She's always present in the wedding and sometimes gets to be the bride's maid but never had the chance to be the bride. Oh, but not for so long. At least we all have to be positive. Jo is obsessive compulsive. She well organized and everything needs to be in proper order. Everything needs to be planned and what better way to start the Project of "Finding Big-O but to create a checklist. The Ultimate Guide in Finding Big "O" este Mr. RIGHT pala.



I: LOCATION - where to find Mr. RIGHT?



1. The GYM - before anything else lets begin with the OPLAN BALIK ALINDOG paano ka makakahanap ng ka-date kung walang alindog? At habang abala ka magpa-sexy at magpaganda samantalahing ang pagkakataon na maghanap ng potential boyfriend. Kung hindi niyo naitatanong madami ang naglipanang Fafa sa GYM. Malaking ang chance at possibility na makita si Mr. RIGHT.  Aside from physically fit, eh health conscious pa. Oha! Double purpose.



2. DATING Applications - with the modern age and new technology lahat pwede mo makuha online, trending ang social media nowadays. Kung wala ka mahanap na ka-date in real world why not try it in the virtual world. All you have to do is  just register or create an account. Fill in the blanks, update your profile, upload your photo, typed in your likes and dislikes, even your ideal man and in an instant the dating application will look for your perfect match your Mr. RIGHT. No sweat. Just one click away.



3. The BAR - a classic way in meeting someone is by going to the bar, coffee shop or any crowded places. You'd be surprise kung gaano karami ang katulad mo na naghahanap ng forever in those kind of places. Just sitting and waiting.. literally FOREVER..



4. OUTDOOR activities - theme park, malls, camping, sports complex, beach and ressort at kung saan-saan ewan ko na lang kung hindi ka pa naman makahanap ng ka-date.



5. ARRANGED MARRIAGE and blind dates - kung desperado ka nang talaga at kapit na sa patalim. Ito na ang last resort, kung hindi makuha sa santong dasalan daanin na lang sa santong paspasan. Classic pero still applicable pa rin naman ang ganitong style.



Habang abalang-abala sa  paggawa ng checklist si Jo, little did she know that Alex was behind her. He is watching her the entire time, curious and wondering why she is so fixated and focused on what she is doing.



Alex was a close friend of Jo since college. They graduated in the same school and now working in the same company. Dahil dala ng sobrang ka-chismosohan hindi niya maiwasan ang hindi magtanong kung ano ba talaga ang pinagkakaabalahan ng kaibigan.



"Uy, bising-bisi ah. Ano yan?" pilit na sinisilip ni Alex ang notebook kung saan sinusulat ni Jo ang kaniyang checklist.



 "Andiyan ka pala," gulat na sagot ni Jo. Sabay pasimpleng tinakpan ang notebook ng ibang dokumento sa trabaho.



"Anong  list iyong Big"O", bagong event ba natin 'yan?" kunot noong nagtanong si Alex habang pilit pa rin sinisilip ang tinagong notebook.



"Bagong project ko," iritang sagot ni Jo. Mabilis naman nakahalata si Alex sa kaibigan kaya minabuti na lang niya tapusin ang usapan.



"Ayos  iyan bagong raket! Sige pagbutihan mo at  inform mo na lang ako kung kailan natin sisimulan. Let me know if you need my help, since tapos na ako sa last project assignment ko," nakangiting sinabi ni Alex sabay kindat niya kay Jo.



Then Alex left and went back to his office table. Meanwhile, back to the checklist. Since she already finished the list for the places where she can find her potential date, the first part of the plan was now completed.  She then now proceed with the next part of the checklist.



II: THE TO DO LIST.. these are the possible things you need to consider when on a DATE...



1. The Looks -  the most essential part of preparing the looks is the hair sabi nga nila ito ang crowning glory ng mga babae. Lakas maka-mukhang mayaman kung nakapagpa-rebond ka ng buhok. Next is the make up, dito maitatago ang mga flaws sa mukha. Biglang lumilitaw ang gandang hindi inaakala.  Manicure and pedicure, ilibing ang mga patay na kuko it's time for you to move on.  Kung pwede magpa-derma at body massage na rin to relax the muscles and lessen wrinkles and the pores.



2. The Attire - next thing to consider is the attire. Of course you need to choose the appropriate clothes depending on the occasion. Mahirap naman na mag heels ka kung mag-mountain climbing ka or naka-corporate look naman kapag nasa beach.. It's a no no!



3. The Menu - while on a date, as much as possible iwasan ang pag-order ng pagkain na kinakailangang mag-kamay and avoid eating raw onions, garlic, seafood and anything with a strong smell or malalansang pagkain. You may never know when you will have your first kiss so always be prepared.



4. DATING KIT -  and speaking of being prepared, you must have a Dating Kit for dummies. It consist of toothbrush, toothpaste, lipstick and foundation for make up re-touch, brush or comb in case mahangin sa labas or mapasabak sa labanan, perfume or cologne, a box of condom. Well, it is better to be safe than sorry and emergency contact number.



And since the TO DO LIST for the DATE has been covered... The last part of the List is the...



III: PREPARATION FOR THE BIG "O". It's like playing baseball, you have to hit the ball then run through all the bases..



1. First base - kissing -  there are different categories of kisses. Kiss on the forehead sign of respect, kiss on the cheeks sign of friendship and kiss on lips sign of love or lust . Of course there are types of kiss on lips...for starter is the smack a short gentle kiss.. dampi lang muna, applicable sa first date. There is also lips to lips, french kiss and torrid no need to elaborate they are the intimate and passionate types of kisses... In short alam na this!



2. Second base - is direct physical contact on the upper portion of the body. It also includes other forms of petting, touching and groping. Papisil-pisil at patapik-tapik. Kung libre ang tsansing dapat lubisin at itodo na! 



3. Third base - may include manual or oral sex for either partner. Also known as otso-otso, you 8 him and she 8 you! 



4. Home run -  is also known as the sexual intercourse or the BIG "O".



Now that the checklist has been completed... Let the dating begin!

This is the story of Josefina 39, late bloomer. Never been touched. Never been kissed and her quest in finding the BIG "O" or should I say the Big OoooHhhhh... Most of the items in the checklist were already prepared by the affluent Dole family, with only a few left that had not been purchased. In the meantime, Eugene summoned the four that Baiyi had selected so that they could get acquainted with Baiyi.
The three Northerners entered the room confidently. They had been watching the situation unfolding from the sidelines, so there were little questions left from them. On the other hand, the chaplain was still dizzy from all the healing that he had done.
The head of the Dole family gave a simple briefing before gesturing to Baiyi. "This man here is Master Hope. He will be leading the expedition to the Northern Lands. Please, acquaint yourselves with each other while I wrap everything up with my servant."
One of the Northerners stopped him from leaving and gestured at the checklist in his hand. "Is that th' checklist? Kin ah see it please?" The man said in a distinctive dialect.
The head of the Dole family eyed Baiyi hesitantly. Seeing the Soul Armature's nod of assent, he handed the list to the man.
The other two companions of the man huddled close to scan the paper. When they seemed to have finished reading, they looked at each other in a meaningfully before one of them turned to Baiyi, "Excuse me, did ye mak’ this?"
"Yes. Is something wrong?" Earlier, Baiyi had consulted the Caveman, the Explorer and the Warrior to compile the checklist, so he thought it should be quite comprehensive…
The man replied. "Nothing wrong at a’, friend! It’s very complete. Ye must be experienced. Looks lik’ we wur worried for nothing!" They said mirthfully as they returned the checklist.
The head of the Dole family was pleased to see the men warming up to Baiyi. His own faith in the Soul Armature doubled. Relieved, he took his leave.
Baiyi found himself warming up to the three men as well. They seemed quite knowledgeable based on what Baiyi could see when they were going through the checklist, they must also be quite experienced with the great outdoors. "I'm Hope, pleased to meet you. And who are you gentlemen?"
"Zhang Fah’n, Zhang Yiqi and Zhang Xiaoyang, sir." The man in the middle pointed at his left, then right, and at himself. "We, the Zhang Brothers, wur hunters from Mad Spring Town, frequently going tae th' Northern Wastelands tae hunt. We git familiar with th' routes, sae many explorers hired us as guides. Efter we know a bit aboot exploring ourselves, we also became explorers."
Baiyi studied the brothers curiously. They were fairly young, all in their 30s. They weren’t very strong either— the best of them was only in the Elite Level, while the weakest was only in the Intermediate Level. A bit too underwhelming to be an explorer, honestly, but their experience with the routes gave them an edge over the others.
After a fair bit of chit-chat, Baiyi was mildly surprised that it was the three men who had brought the news about Undine’s situation to the Dole family. The brothers had previously encountered the lost missionaries in the wasteland and they were the ones who brought them back. From that moment on, the Dole family instantly hired them as members of the rescue party, promising them a lifetime excess of treasures and gold as their reward.
"Thae folks give muckle[1]rewards! Wi' it, ah will finally be able tae buy a piece o' land fur farming 'n' live a quiet life," Zhang Fahn said contentedly. He was also, Baiyi noticed, the weakest among the brothers.
"Och, c'moan, brother! Wid ye be a bawherr mair ambitious?" His brothers protested in their thick accent, which apparently meant, ‘Would you be a bit more ambitious?’
Compared to the Zhang brothers however, the obviously more superior chaplain— who was already at Master Level— was ironically less sure of himself. He hesitantly asked, "A-are we the only ones going?"
"Yep." Baiyi nodded. "Plus a sorcerer and a fighter."
"Lord of Heaven! You people are mad!" The chaplain exclaimed. He closed his eyes and mumbled something under his breath, likely a prayer.
He did not excuse himself from the party, however.
Baiyi was of course, curious. "And you’re still coming?"
"Of course, good sir. Eugene Dole had donated much to our humble church. I promised him in the name of the Lord, that I will help him with all that I have," the holy man replied somberly. "I cannot break this promise, for there is no place in heaven for a man who goes against his words."
"Tsk, it’s like looking at my younger self," The Cleric’s voice rang out in the Void. "I was just as pious as him back then, or maybe even more so…"
And now you’re a horny bastard that hopes for a heaven full of beautiful female legs for you to lick. Does every man of faith fall this hard when their faith is broken? I can hardly remember you as a member of the church! Baiyi thought.
"You just don’t know how it feels like. When you’ve finally seen how empty it is behind what you so staunchly believed in, what you had persevered for, the utter void behind your conviction— you’ll end up just as I," the Cleric replied in uncharacteristic seriousness.
Debates on religious topics are so annoying… Baiyi sighed internally. He understood what the Cleric meant, though. Living your life exactly based on the virtues described by your faith, including sacrificing yourself for that faith, only to be thrown into a dark limbo for thousands and thousands of years to exist with no purpose at all despite his repetitive and final demonstration of his love for his faith.
Now that was cruel and it can't easily be dismissed as a "test" or a "delayed promise".
When the Cleric and the Paladin had first entered the Void, they were hysterical and almost beyond help. But the passage of limitless time in the Void eventually tired out even their insanity. They had fallen ever since they came here, but they were a little different. They still thought of themselves as the allies of justice— but that justice was no longer the God who had mercilessly sent them to the Void.
Watching the young and equally pious chaplain, Baiyi felt a bit of sympathy for him.
After a while, the head of the Dole family led another two people to join their rescue party. It was the young sorcerer that Baiyi had a row with once and a fighter.
The young sorcerer was supposed to join Undine’s expedition back then but he was injured and when the expedition had started, he hadn’t recovered much. Meanwhile, the fighter had long served the Doles with unwavering loyalty and Undine had only left him behind so that he could take care of her family.
The young sorcerer Xillians had finally learnt to not probe anyone with his Psychic Energy. He bowed to Baiyi respectfully and introduced himself politely. He even mentioned that he was under the tutelage of some Immortal Level sorcerer.
And here I thought your teacher forgot to teach you about etiquettes, Baiyi thought. He was reluctant to work with the golden-haired try-hard, but the boy had pretty useful skills— especially his Tracking Runes, which would help tremendously in locating everyone in the party in times of need. For that reason, Baiyi swallowed his disapproval.
Once Tisdale and Mia joined them, the rescue party was completed with a total of seven members.
Mia greeted everyone with her usual manner but her presence unsettled the defense fighter.
"Isn’t she a bit too young to go on such a dangerous expedition?" He asked, concerned.
"Can’t be helped. She’s my Soul Armature Practitioner." Baiyi patted her head. "It’s a great training opportunity as well, so I think she will be fine."
Frankly, Baiyi did sense that Mia was on the verge of leveling up. After a little challenge, she might just break through her level, and the amount of energy he could utilize would increase as well.
The great mission had begun. They had about twenty ponies suitable for mountainous terrains with them. The ponies were not used as packhorses either, as the Dole family was generous enough to purchase a significant amount of expensive multi-space storage pouch to fit their belongings in. As a result,because they were all packed lightly, their travelling speed was quick.
It didn't take long before guilt settled in Baiyi. The party had not rest much due to the urgency of their mission but most of the members were already used to a bit of hardship. But the two girls under his care though were less durable. They became worn out very early; Tisdale was on her horse nodding off as her eyes answered gravity’s call, and she was at the risk of falling off her horse. Meanwhile, Mia, who had no equestrian training, could only ride with Baiyi. She leaned backwards on his chest and travelled in a blur state.
It was good that the two girls did not once complain about the trip despite clearly feeling uncomfortable. Baiyi couldn’t help but kick himself for not bringing at least one comfortable carriage for them.
In the end, he came up with a pretty odd solution. He asked Tisdale to ride with him, the girl sat in front of him as he wrapped one of his arms around her feminine, sweet waist to hold her steady as she napped on his chest. Meanwhile, Mia was wrapped completely with a blanket with just her head poking out, the Mia-roll was then strapped onto the back tightly with ropes.
That of course attracted the jealousy of the others. The young sorcerer, who did not look young from his eyebags and wrinkles from lack of sleep, even mustered up his courage to ask Baiyi if he needed help with his load.
Of course the lad’s offer was rejected. There was no way Baiyi would have trusted Tisdale to him!
Their speed was rewarded by their timely arrival to the Southern Border Forts. Most of the party had lost much of their vim and were barely able to stand on their feet, yet Baiyi was feeling exceptionally zesty and full of vigor. Now why is that?

"Welcome to Dock 5. Please pick out the car assigned to you by swiping your card here."
	A door on Dock 5 opened.
	"Please proceed and drive your car home or to the home supply office. Proceed to Desk 17. If you need to gas up your car, just swipe your card a local gas station. The fuel is for free."
	Is this a dream? Everything's for free?
	"Thank you."
	"Stay here and I will get the car." Arodelf told me.
	"Hey,  give me the bag. It may inconvenience you while setting things up." He ran towards it.
	"Okay." A few moments later, the car was already near the dock. The car was a shiny blue with tinted glass. I thanked the man and I quickly opened the car door.
	He smiled at me with a debonair look and wicked smile, "Come on in." He licked his lips and revved up the engine. 
	"Supplies?" I demanded.
	"Yes ma'am." He sped up his driving.

	We were silent. The car aircon is cold. The whole car is squeaky and new. I could smell the leather and upholstery. I can assume that this is not a normal car.
	"This car is a..."
	"Maserati."
	"Yes." Inside my mind,  what I was about to say was bribe.
	"Ella."
	"Yes?"
	"What are your plans tonight? Are we?" He freed his other hand and held my hand.
	"I don't know yet. I'm pretty scared about that."
	"Are you still a virgin?"
	"You asked that before. Do you have memory gap or something?" I sighed, "I'm a virgin." I think the world stopped as I said those words because I could feel the tension between us getting too strong. I saw a little smile spread across his face as he continued to drive. He faintly whispered something. Just a fraction would render it silent, I heard it. I can hear it well. I heard it clearly.
	"Don't be scared about that." Arodelf looked at me and gestured me to lean on him.
	"Okay."
	We got to the supplies office.
	We parked the car outside and we got inside the office. We got to Desk 17 and the woman gave us a card to a storage room numbered 978 where all of our monthly supplies are located. The room is filled with unnamed boxes. These could be worth a fortune.
	"Are we going to check them one by one?"
	Arodelf asked while picking up the smallest box.
	"Yes. We have a checklist here."
	He opened it and gasped.
	"What is that?"
	"Nothing."
	"What is it?"
	"No."
	He showed it to me eventually.
	I felt my face flush red and asked him, "Are those things used for...?"
	"Yes. I don't think we need them. It's not like I'm and your are uhm... nevermind. Mark that out in the checklist already!" He was frantic, you can see it in his eyes.
	Arodelf put the box in the corner and started checking the contents of other boxes. He said proudly, "If these are just for a month, I think we cannot consume these stuff. Hand me the checklist." He started ticking off what's in the box he had opened.
	He handed me the checklist. "They told us that this ration is just for the two of us." I started ticking the boxes of the checklist.
	We checked the boxes and ticked all the things in the list. Some of the ration are not present in the room and there is a paper slip within the box stating that it will be given next week.
	"We don't need to go to the grocery with this heap. Okay, these are 27 boxes in total." He carried three large boxes in one lift and I carried two small ones. "Lead me so I won't stumble on anything okay."
	We placed some of the boxes one by one inside the car and I helped him put all of it inside. We left some of the boxes in the room since it will not fit inside the car.
	The first trip towards our designated home is a bit scary. I'm so filled with excitement and my smile would not budge. The Suppliea Office is not that far from our home.
	"What's with the smile?" Arodelf asked me. He may be creeped out since we know that this would eventually come with a price we have to pay.
	"I'm excited to see the house."
	He sighed and told me, "Get used to calling it Home, 136-1." His tone was furious.
	"What's with the..." We paused. His eyes were staring at something. I can see the little camera that is in the middle of the rear-view mirror. "Yes. I'm excited to finally see our home!" I leaned on his shoulder and he manuevered and stopped his driving. We were in the middle of the by-pass road.
	Arodelf quickly cupped my face, avoiding the scars of my operation, and kissed my lips gently. Two gentle streams rushed from his eyes and I felt them drop to my thighs. I quivered in his kiss as his hands reached the back of my ears and nape. He let go of the kiss once he felt it was too much to handle and kissed my forehead. He kissed both of my hands and wiped his tears away. He composed himself and started driving again like nothing happened. We were silent. It was just too fast.
	We got to the home designated for us. It's a two story house. In an awkward manner, I opened the car door and closed it as I got out. I immediately swiped the card and used the key to unlock the door. With no time to check the house,  we unloaded the boxes from the car.
	"Let's rest for a bit." Arodelf sat on the doorstep and told me, "I'm really not used to this kind of work you know."
	"Yes. I know." I smiled. We rested for a bit to look at the surroundings.
	It was very warm in this area but everything in this place seemed lonely. It's located far from neighbors.
	"This is very isolated you know." I saw him looking at the surroundings with a huge frown. His eyes were tensed. His body slightly quivered in an imagining.
	"I am getting scared already." I spoke out of the blue. He turned to look at me with a huge smile.
	"Don't be afraid of that." I get it, Arodelf.
	I smiled in return. I listened to his words, not missing anything. It was vivid and clear.
	"Crime rates are very low in our country. Don't be scared, there are things that are much scarier than that."
	A paradox.
	"I thought so too. You know what's scarier than that, Arodelf?"
	"What is that?" He stood up and leaned on the already closed door.
	"I don't want to lose you."

Vicerra and Aldred find themselves in a pinch. Will we detest the new world to have freedom? Will we detest our freedom for the safety of our family and friends?

A perfect world has a price to pay -- wait until it gets dark and twisted.

"Let's head back to the building." He said pulling me up carefully to stand.


Suddenly, thoughts came evading my calmed mind one by one. My jaw dropped as realization dawned on me.

The gorillas' checklist!


First, you know you are in love with the person when you cannot stand his gaze. Minimum is ten seconds.


Check. I did blink at the last second. Didn't I? It was the beast fault because he told me it was like I wanted to plant love bites on him again.


Second, there will be an electrifying feeling whenever you touch that person.


Check again. I thought at first that this test failed, but I was wrong. I felt it, can't deny that!


Third. If that person calls your name, your heart will jump. 


Check. My heart didn't only jump, it was leaping endlessly.


Fourth. Whether you close or open your eyes, you will continually see his face.


Check, remember when I looked for soda and end up mumbling in one corner instead? He even caught me!


The fifth and the last. If you will not be able to see that person again, you will surely cry out of loneliness. 


Check again for the nth time. I did cry wildly when I thought he died. Heck!


Am I possibly in love with the beast?

"OH NOOOO!" I screamed in hysteria. 


The boys checklist —all results were affirmative! I expelled a shaky breath and shook my head continuously. I wanted to drop right through the floor as I suffered from thorough disbelief. I was acting like a blithering idiot in front of the beast. I didn't know what to do right at that moment.


 I dazed over my thoughts in panic!


Suddenly...


I felt an embrace oozing all the confusion and negative emotions away. I landed on a hard chest, it was warm and had me absolutely mesmerized. I breathed in only to realize the hard chest belonged to the beast. He put one of his hands behind my neck, the other hand landed gently on my lower back. He then buried me deep in his arms squeezing me tightly. I took a deep breath inhaling his luscious scent forgetting where we were.


My body that had been so tense from all what happened earlier has a sense of tranquility now. I became composed under his warm and loving embrace. It was so enchanting I wanted to stay there all day.


Hearing footsteps close by, I was brought to reality.


Uhhh, what was he doing out here in this open place?


I was about to push him away but then decided not to since his embrace was so comforting. He then uttered something in almost a whisper.


"Hey what's happening with you by the way?" He said while still holding me in his arms. 


 "You were acting so weird since this morning and.... I feel so stupid... for not knowing what to do." He sounded worried.


His words brought me into wonderland once more. So he had been worried about me all day long? Really worried, I could tell by the tone of his voice. At the moment his embrace was so affectionate. I felt like I was some treasure which was about to be taken and he was savoring the moment while I was still in his hands.


But then again, the boy's checklist pop into my head again, reminding me of the most complicated predicament I had ever encountered in my entire life.


"Darryl" I called, my voice was shaking.


"Yes?" 


"I think I'm in love with you—crap!" I cupped my mouth to stop the words that were spilling out and looked up to see his face.


"Why did I say those? Holy cow!" I mumbled and cursed in front of him with so much regret. Colors were flooding back to my cheeks; red was the most dominant.


Another stupid move! I can't eat strawberry now, can I? I did bet strawberry earlier, right?


What was I doing? Even when those words were unconsciously and impulsively spoken, I was fervently wishing I left them unsaid.


He was shocked by my sudden revelation and didn't say a word. He just smiled. His expressions were unreadable.


 "What did you say? Say that again." There was unmistakable mischief in his gorgeous hazel eyes. His smile turned wide making his face look devilishly handsome.


I looked away flustered. I just blurted this out, how can I say it again! In the corner of my eyes, I saw his hazel eyes looking down at me trying to capture my reaction.


Heck the jerk was picking on me again!


Don't look him in the eye Xhem!


According to Greek Mythology, there is a monster they call Medussa. If he catches your gaze you will turn into a stone! 


Afraid of his mischievous gaze turning you to stone? Don't let the beast capture your eyes! I thought to myself.


"Ehhh…what I said a while ago was... Let's head back to the building, I think they will announce the winners now!" I said as I tried to find an excuse to avoid him. I turned around a second after and quickly  walked straight ahead.


I left the beast where we were standing and walked away hurriedly. I sighed deeply. Somehow I was relieved I had escaped the beast's instigation. I walked farther and farther away from the beast, then I realized something.


"Oh crap!" I clasped my head and turn back to where the beast was.


He was standing on the same spot, laughing hard when he saw me coming back.


"You are lost, right?" He asked. Yeah I was indeed lost.


 I did tell you earlier that I just ran randomly away, right? I needed the beast's help to get me back to the competition area. I am pretty sure he knew where we were right now since he was the one who found me here.


He stopped laughing when he was satisfied with how embarrassed I was.


"Give me your hand!" He commanded.


"Huh?" Before I could react, he grabbed my hand in his and started walking.


We were holding hands. Imagine the feeling that came with it, I couldn't even begin to describe! My eyes grew bigger and I bit my lower lip but walked obediently with him.


My heart was so happy I could die right now!


We walked under the scorching sun, as buildings along the busy streets towered over our shadows. I walked with my hands in his. He tightly held onto my fingers which were intertwined in his long and rough fingers. It felt like he was clinging to the only hands he cared about in the entire world. 


I let him hold my hand, not bothering to make a sound. I quietly attempted to breath in and out, afraid he could hear my heart screaming from warmth and excitement. My heart was beating frantically against my left boob. It felt as if it was calling his name over and over again. I'm really in love with him. The boy's checklist was not useless after all, I thought smiling to myself.


We headed back to the building after we arrived and spent the rest of the afternoon receiving our evaluations. We got back to the university circle around four in the afternoon. I immediately hopped out the bus first and ran fast toward the quarters. I was so happy. I was also excited to see the boys after this long eventful day. Honestly, I did miss them throughout the whole afternoon.


A few minutes after arriving, I found myself in the quarters.


"Hey, you are here already." Huzey smiled as soon as he saw me.


"Huzey!" I clung into his arms like a happy kid. I was really in a good mood.


"Hey, little thug why are you so happy? You are so happy that we abandoned you today? Or wait…" Ziggy said scrutinizing me from head to foot. " …. Did you successfully seduced that Lagdameo coach this time?"


I just ignored Ziggy and went in a daze thinking about the beast still clinging onto Huzey's arm. Huzey didn't withdraw his arm, instead he smiled at me and asked, "What's with you?"


"Nothing!" I responded happily ignoring his prying eyes.


"If it's anything about that Lagdameo coach, I suggest you drop it right away. Why don't you go and pack your things instead of clinging onto Huzey's arm like a tarsier." Ziggy exclaimed, seemingly unpleased.


"Huh?" I frowned, not getting what he was talking about.


"We are leaving tomorrow after the awarding." Huzey said tonelessly while glancing at me.


Wait.


What?


Today is the sixth day of the conference, so we are indeed leaving tomorrow. How could I forget that? I was so preoccupied with my sparkling new romance I didn't even notice it was going to end tomorrow.


That fast?


Is this the end of Xhemin's and Darryl's love story? Tomorrow, Eh?


"You okay?" Huzey asked when he noticed that my mood suddenly changed. All the brightness in my face disappeared in an instant.


''Ummm… I'm fine." l answered flatly almost close to tears.


"Liar!" Huzey retorted an accusatory tone. 


"I ain't lying." 


"C'mon what's wrong?" he repeated.


"I said its nothing...I'll go and pack up." I answered trying to brush off their suspicions.


"Really?" Ziggy asked as if he wasn't convinced. He glared at me with raised eyebrows.


Ziggy ran to my bed and snatched my animal stuff toy Cryzer. Remember my lamb stuff toy given by grandpa?


He went to the hallways' mezzanine and stood there. He held Cryzer in one of his hand and moved it toward the stairs as if he was going to let it fall over.


"What are you doing to my stuff?" I went out to ask him. How was I supposed to pack up when he was messing with my things?


"If you are not going to answer our questions I'm going to throw Cryzer down the stairs." He started threatening me.


"Then the headlines tomorrow will be— Cryzer committed suicide." Huzey said unfeelingly. He was now slumped against the wall beside the entrance of the quarters, watching over the scene that Ziggy started.


I frowned. I think the two were on gorilla behavior mode again.


"Give me Cryzer back!" I demanded as I ran toward him ready for an attack. Before I reached Ziggy, Huzey held me and put my two hands on my back. He locked me under his grip. I tried to escape but knowing how strong Huzey was, I probably will die out of fatigue.

 

Oh great, just great. The two were teaming up again against me again. Well, I hope they were enjoying themselves at my expense.


"Tell us the truth or he will be dead!"


"Let him go!" I yelled at him.


"Tell us the truth first, why were you acting weird earlier? Happy turned sad in an instant." Ziggy started instigating me.


There had only been the three of us in the hallway. I never expected that few minutes later, people from other quarters had flocked over to where we were to watch our peerless drama.


"Fine! I'm acting weird because I don't' feel like going home yet!"


"Oh.." Ziggy exclaimed looking surprised. He was faking it obviously. "And that's because?"


"Because....." I was having hard time answering the question.


"Speak or Cryzer will die!" he spoke in a tone mimicking an old and grumpy wizard.


"Because of that man." I answered trying to be careful of my every word. Gosh! These two gorillas, I'm gonna kill them both in their sleep when I get the chance!


"What's the name?" He demanded and intentionally shook Cryzer's body while hanging on his arms.


"Do I really have to tell the name?" I said unamused. I honestly was a bit annoyed.


"Cryzer or the name!" He stated, frightening me in his unusual made up cold and deep voice.


"Darryl...Lemmeul...Lagdameo." I hesitated answering it a bit. I was pretty aware that the beast wasn't around, so it wouldn't really matter. The important thing right now is Cryzer's life, isn't it?


"Hey coach Darryl!" Someone called from my behind.


Coach Darryl? The beast is here?


Hearing his name nearly gave me heart attack!

Thea noticed how Jeru was in a good mood lately. It was as though he was the one with the symptoms of the first trimester of pregnancy. He had mood swings. Sometimes he was hot, and sometimes he was cold.
She also received a call from Jeru's assistant who inquired about her preferred color and design for the room she would share with Jeru. She was happy to know that Jeru had put effort into making sure that the new bedroom was according to her liking.
However, she was a bit nervous about meeting her father-in-law soon. She did not buy anything special as gifts at all. According to Chin, in all of his interviews, whenever he was asked about what kind of present he would like to receive from others, Senior Liu always maintained the principle of 'It's the thought that counts.' He preferred to receive simple gifts as long as it came from the giver's heart. 
For instance, he would appreciate to eat a good meal that someone specially cooked for him instead of receiving an expensive yet thoughtless gifts. He already had everything he needed, so why would he need, for example, another pricey wristwatch?
He always answered this kind of interview question lightheartedly, but Jeru confirmed that his dad indeed admired those with excellent cooking skills. Thea saw this as a good opportunity for her to please her father-in-law because if there was one thing that she could be proud of, it was her natural-born cooking skill, as Auntie Sheila had always told her. On top of that, she learned a lot of great recipes from her. 
Her thoughts were interrupted by the sound of a message notification from her phone. She smiled to see it was Jeru.
[I have instructed them to transform the other room into a nursery. Tell me when you're free, so we can go and buy baby things together.]
She let out a soft laugh. 'Already? But we don't even know the gender of our baby yet...' she thought. But the message made her excited, and she was feeling that familiar tingling sensation in her heart again. It made her smile from ear to ear.
She contemplated whether to tease him because it seemed like he was in a hurry to shop for some stuff for their baby. But in the end, she only sent him her schedule.
"Oh, then I should already start making a baby checklist…" she beamed with a broad smile plastered on her face. She looked around and saw her buddy Gavin and decided to pester him about some baby things for her checklist.
"Huh? How would I know? I'm a bachelor, Thea, and I don't have a secret baby stashed away somewhere. You should ask one of the married women here..." Gavin grumbled.
Thea laughed and said, "But you're the only one who knows my secret… By the way, how come you and Brione haven't talked yet?"
Thea also knew Gavin's secret, and just like him to her, she had also become his counsel lately.
"Listen, I know a better idea for you, and I'm sure it will help you with your problem right now," Thea offered, with a teasing smile. Gavin's eyes widened and answered, "Alright, I'll ask my aunt about some baby stuff for your checklist. I'll send it to you later."
Thea laughed while Gavin sighed and rolled his eyes, "Why are women so complicated and meddlesome?"

Torin felt a bit awkward because even though Sheila said she was going to stay at Zach's place, but she had been staying in his apartment most of her waking time. He was not complaining at all because Sheila pampered him a lot. However, Torin knew that she was doing this on purpose to prevent Lyra and him from being left alone together.
"Mom, you look a bit sleepy… Why don't you go rest in the room first?" Lyra suggested when she noticed the sluggish expression on her mom's face while she was watching a TV-series.
They had just finished lunch at Torin's place, and Sheila decided to watch her soap over there instead. Her reason was simple; So that she could tend to all of Torin's needs efficiently.
Torin signaled Lyra not to continue, as he interrupted and said, "It's okay, mom, you can sleep on the couch. It's big enough, or I can carry you to the room later."
Sheila sighed and remained silent, but she kept her eyes wide open to focus on the television. She was actually enjoying the frustrated looks on the couple's faces.
She tried her best to suppress her laughter, 'Let's see how long these too can put up with my bullying.'
She was a light sleeper, so the slightest movement could wake her up with ease. Last night, she had felt Lyra move, and as soon as she had heard the clicking of the door, she had immediately instructed, "Get back in here…"
Lyra didn't have any excuse since the restroom was inside the room, and they had bottled water in the room. She couldn't say she was hungry either because Sheila knew how attentive her daughter was when it comes to her diet to maintain a pretty figure.
Sheila had almost burst out laughing when she had felt Lyra go back inside the comforter and hug her instead.
She did not plan to bully them long. Maybe just a few more days. 
"Torin, let me ask you something…" Sheila murmured in a sleepy voice.
"Yes, mom?" Torin answered, as politely as possible. He enjoyed calling Sheila 'Mom' very much. So his smile never faded whenever he called her by that name.
"If you ever come across a situation where both Zach and Lyra are in danger, and you could only save one. Whom would you save?" Sheila probed all of a sudden. 
"What is this, mom? Are you testing Torin or what?" Lyra was confused by the sudden question.
"Hmm, not really but I still want to know what he would do, just in case," Sheila said while yawning.
"Sorry, mom, but I would save Lyra first," Torin asserted. 
"Hmm, I guess most people would do the same for their lover. I should ask Zach whom he would save, Keira or Lyra," Sheila mumbled as she got up.
"Alright, you two, I'm going to take a nap for a bit. Don't you dare do anything naughty," Sheila whispered, to which Torin and Lyra's ears perked up.


She fell in love at first sight and did everything to conquer the man of her dreams... Her General...

​Everytime na makikita ko ung journal ko na may list ng standards ko, naiisip ko, what if hindi ganun ung gusto ni God para sa akin? Ano gagawin ko kung lahat ng nasa listahan ko ay kabaligtaran ng gusto ni God sa akin. Hala ready ba ang heart ko tanggapin yun?

​Year 2005, I met someone na exactly opposite sa likes ko. Hindi sya kagwapuhan, wala syang smiling eyes, wala rin syang killer smile, hindi sya masyado talented at hindi ganun kagenius like Einstein pero he loved God more than anything else. He's a Christian guy of different church. I met him at work. He's very consistent in pursuing me. A pastor's kid with a heart passionate to God. Isa yun sa traits na nagustuhan ko. After months, I gave my first "yes" at akala ko sya na nag first at last, hindi pala and our relationship lasted for 2 years. And dahil ang gusto ko nga ay may "stay forever package", lagi kami magkasama na madalas namin pag awayan. Until one day, we broke up.

​Sobrang sakit nun kasi I have to question God's will. "Bakit ganun God, Christian naman kami pareho and why He allowed that to happen." May mga times na sa sobrang iyak ko naiisip ko isarado na ng tuluyan ung heart ko. Parang ayaw ko na magmahal muli.

​Pero I realized God allowed that to happen for me to grow sa faith ko sa Diyos at maggrow as a person.

Super immature pa pala ako kaya need basagin para mamold ng mabuti. Then yung time na feeling ko nakamove on na ako, here comes another Christian guy again.

​This next Christian man was the last boyfriend I had. Year 2006, we became best of friends (up until now naman), I met him at the same workplace where my ex and I also met. In short co-workers kami pero in different team. Again, hindi sya kagwapuhan, in short, tall, dark sya. Sobrang iba sa gusto ko ulit. Pero dahil sa Christian faith na meron sya, and after he's being persistent and so sincerely pursuing me, I gave my "yes". Everything is doing well naman. Imagined, we almost ended up marrying each other. Yes, he asked me that question that every woman is waiting. The question of "Will you marry me?" At first, ang sarap sagutin ng yes pero kabaligtaran ang sinagot ko. Isang masakit na "NO". Our relationship ended up for 6 years. Opps, don't get me wrong, baka sabihin choosy eh hindi naman ako kagandahan, whjat made me say no that time? Well, let's just say na I'm not ready yet. Sigurado, kung nagyes ako at kinasal kami, baka hindi ko maisusulat ito. Or malamang kinalimutan ko ang pagsusulat.

​After that second failed relationship, I stopped and shut down my heart. Sobrang sakit ng dalawang failed relationships at natakot ako magmahal na muli. Malamang may magsasabi, bakit ako masasaktan eh choice ko naman mag No sa inalok na kasal sa akin, nasaktan pa rin ako kasi naisip ko na may nasaktan dahil sa akin. Pero ganun ang buhay, hindi lahat oo ang sagot. Since 2012 up until now, hinihintay ko pa rin si the one.

​Singer Wiz Khalifa once said; "Being single doesn't necessarily mean you're available. Sometimes you have to put up a sign that says, "Do Not Disturb" on your heart."  

What I realized is to let God hold the pen and let God writes my love story. That break up led me to grow mature in my relationship with God. The moving on journey is not easy. I learned to surrender everything to God. I let God work in me; I even let God mold me the way He wanted me to be. I would always feel relieved. As you may know, coming to terms with what has happened and finally letting go is never easy. In fact, many of us think that holding on to the past is a sign of strength. However, quite the contrary is the case. It often takes a lot more strength to move on with your life than holding on to a past that no longer is.  THE GADGET THEORY

​This idea of gadget theory is what I've learned from using iPad, an Apple gadget. (Keen and silent observer kasi ako at mahilig magresearch). Alam naman natin na si Steve Jobs ang utak ng Apple, lalo sa iPad, iPhone at iba pa bago sya namatay. Mahirap gamitin ang Apple kasi hindi sya user friendly at hindi gadget friendly. Mahirap magshare ng files kung hindi compatible. Kaya nga may user manual na sadyang patented para sa gadget lang ng mga Apple, you can't download music using iPad without using iTunes, kaya kung hindi moa lam imaximized ang Apple, you can't even enjoy using it. Just like in our lovelife, kung hindi natin alam at kilala ang author ng Love, hindi natin maiintindihan ang love. Kung hindi rin natin alam ang manual which is our Bible o God's Word, we can't even understand how God pictured and planned our love story. May standard tayo pero may will ang Diyos sa buhay natin. Parang gadget, kahit Apple ang binigay sa atin, hinahanap pa rin natin si Android, minsan pa nga, hahanap pa tayo ng way para maging compatible si Apple at Android by using Share It app, kaya madalas nagkacrash or naghahang gadget natin kasi pinipilit natin ung gusto natin pero sa totoong buhay hindi ganun, meron at merong uniqueness ang bawat tao na hindi pwede ipilit sa iba para maging compatible.

​Ilang beses ko na nakita na ung mga Android app ay hindi nagrarun sa aking iPad kasi nga may sariling patented app si Apple, eto ung uniqueness ng Apple na tulad sa tao ay nakapatent kasi si God lang may likha.

​I believe that if we allow God to do His work in us, we will reach our full potential. Eto ung potentiality to grow and be matured as a person at maging deep sa pananaw sa buhay at the same time maging strong. Kaya habang tinatry kong magmove on noon sa past relationships, ang sarap ng feeling na kahit umiiyak ako eh may isang kaibigan akong hindi ako iiwan. God says in Hebrews 13:5; "I will never leave you nor forsake you."

​Naalala ko ung kanta ni Ms. Terry Javier na "May Kaibigan Ka" sa favorite AM radio station ko ang 702 DZAS, "May Kaibigan Ka, Na Higit Pa Sa Akin, May Kaibigan Ka, Sa Kanya ay Panalangin, Pangako Nya'y Di Ka Iiwan, Di Ka Pababayaan."

​Nakakakilig ung song kasi alam kong may isang kaibigan ako na magstay forever.
​Checklist 1: Stay Forever Achieved. Totoo naman kasi na only God can love us and the one who will stay with us for the rest of our lives. Yung tipong pangforever. Pero syempre may nakalaan talaga para sa bawat tao.

​The Bible says in Isaiah 46:4b; "I made you and will care for you; I will give you help and rescue you."

​Ang sweet ni Lord, di ba? Pero ano nga ba ang kaibahan ng our standard sa God's standard?

OUR IDEAL MAN versus GOD's IDEAL MAN FOR US

​In Webster's dictionary, an ideal man is a man of conception of something that is perfect, esp. that which one seeks to attain or a person or thing considered to represent perfection. The idea of perfection, the idea of excellence, someone na almost perfect that we always dream off. I realized na ung ideals o ideal man ko ay based lamang sa physical looks or appearance. Yung standard naman as Webster dictionary defined as a level of quality or attainment. Ito naman ung it speaks of who we are and what we are.

​So balikan natin ung standards ko, eto ung tatlong package deals na diniscuss ko. Package deals of mine talked about self-security or the Stay Forever package, self-companionship or the Bestfriend Package, at physical attributes or the Prince Package.
​
Lahat ng yun ay based sa personal views ko ng gusto kong fairy love stories. The question is, same ba ng ideal man ni God for me?

Ano nga ba ang ideal man ni God para sa atin? Well. Let me tell you. He is the kind of guy who would rather stay at home reading his bible and spending time with God worshiping Him than to be out partying with a group of friends on a Friday night. Eto yung guy na constantly longs for God's presence and who walks closely with Him. He will help that blind lady cross the street and become her eyes, or even help that lame old man to stand up and be his feet. He will also stand up for those who are being mocked and persecuted. Yung kahit masaktan sya, he will not fight back just like how Jesus did not fight back when He was being brutally tortured and beaten to death. That's when you'll know he is a solid follower of Christ. And that is God's ideal man for us. The idea of mine of having a knight in shining armor prince is somehow associated with a man of God, a warrior of God who knows how to stand for his own identity, so that, he may able to be the right warrior prince for every princess and woman. Mahirap hanapin yan pero alam natin na nothing is impossible. Si God pa ba? Naalala ko isang gabi nun habang nasa work ako, while teaching my Korean student, he asked me; "Teacher, what if your ideal man is not what God intended you to have? What will you do?" Then I simply replied him; "Okay lang basta si God ung nasa puso nya at hindi ako ilalayo sa Diyos." Then, that night, that very simple question from our discussion class, I asked myself paano nga kaya kung hindi at wala talaga yung ideal man ko. Anon a gagawin ko mga beshy?

​I remember myself talking to my journal that night, listing again my ideal checklist at ung God checklist for me at patuloy ko pa rin natatanong mga yun.

Ikaw bes, paano at ano gagawin mo? Noong araw ding yun, napagtanto ko na kailangan ang give and take ang relationship. Parang baunan lang yan, what if sa baunan mo may orange, tapos nagcrave ka sa apple, at ung baunan ng classmate mo may apple pero gusto nya orange, hindi mo ba isishare? Share it di ba? So, sa love ganun din, may mga list tayo ng gusto pero si God may ibang gusto para sa atin, so, ang mangyayari, God will show us the rare and special traits ng taong gusto nya para sa atin para makita natin na same o minsan mas higit pa nga sa gusto din natin. Always remember, a relationship is not about us, it is also about our partner that God gave us. It's about sharing lives to honor God as we grow old together.

God's Ideal man

Imagine my checklist ang dami nya pero lahat ng iyon may sagot ang Diyos, it only means na bago ko pa maisip yung mga gusto ko sa isang tao, naihanda na pala ni God para sa akin. Pero ang tanong, nasaan si the one?

"Love is a beautiful thing, yet it can be a monster that can break you. They say that when you love someone you never want to let them go and you will do anything to stay with them." Sabi nila "true love waits" pero paano kung matagal ang paghihintay? Or paano kung nakita mo na pero hindi tama ang tugtugin at tibok ng puso nyo? Ang sakit di ba? Minsan naitatanong mo kung maganda ka ba kasi parang walang nagkakagusto sayo.


At my age of 38 years old, most of my batchmates are all married and have their families na, dakilang ninang na nga ako ng iba sa mga anak nila. Madalas ayoko na tuloy pumunta sa mga okasyon kasi iisa ang tanong nila, "kailan k aba mag-aasawa?" "Wala ka bang boyfriend?" At madalas ko lang sagutin ng "Wait lang, darating din 'yan."


​Minsan tuloy napapaisip ako ng "Nasaan na nga ba si Mr. Right?" "Sobrang traffic na ba at hindi ako makita?" Pero kung nakita mo nga pero hindi naman pwede maging kami.


Being single is sometimes a controversial issue in our young professional society. Always remember that true love waits. Every woman is worth the wait. We don't need to rush things. It will come. Everything has its own perfect time.


Maybe God is still busy writing my love story.

Waking up, Shiro rubbed her eyes as she unfroze her cast. Moving her arms a little, she smiled feeling no pain. 

With her weakened debuff removed, her HP shot all the way back up to 34k. 

"Little Yin, this miss has fully recovered." Shiro grinned as she tapped Yin on the head. 

Yin's body shook a little as it groggily got up. Flapping its wings, it landed on Shiro's head and proceeded to sleep again. 

"Heh, lazy head." Shiro muttered as she stood up. Dressing carefully as to not disturb Yin too much, she walked over to Lyrica's room and knocked on the door. 

"Coming~" A tired voice rang out as Shiro sighed in relief. 

Lyrica opened the door with a serious case of bed hair and dark circles under her eyes. 

"Oh it's you Shiro. Want to come in?" She asked. 

Shiro nodded as she sat on a chair. 

[So was the Dungeon run successful?] Shiro asked. 

"Half and half. I gave up just before the final boss fight." Lyrica said as she laid her body on the bed. 

[Why's that?] Shiro asked. 

"Because I struggled a little too much with the second boss. The final boss is and always will be harder than the other two bosses. But since I struggled so much with the second boss, I doubted that I would defeat the last boss." Lyrica said snuggling into her bed covers. 

"But hey. I levelled up twice which is pretty good. Since I knew I couldn't focus on the last boss, I aimed to kill as many mobs as I could." Lyrica smiled.

[Just so that I know, how long did you spend in killing the mobs?] 

"Ehh..2 days? Something like that." 

'2 days? She spent two days killing none stop huh?' Shiro thought as she patted Lyrica on the head. 

[Good work.] Shiro smiled since Lyrica was able to gain another 2 levels, thus bringing her up to level 19. 

"Ah, your arm is fixed." Lyrica was surprised seeing Shiro use her right arm.

[Yep. My arm is entirely fixed now.] Shiro smiled as she flexed her arm a little.

"Congratulations." Lyrica smiled. 

[Want to hit up a dungeon later then? I'll take you to a dungeon and serve as back up. You try solo most of it how's that?]

"Sure." Lyrica nodded as she planted her face into the cover.

[I'm going out for a bit. I'll text you when we're hitting up the dungeon.] 

"Sure. See you later." Lyrica waved her hand slightly as Shiro only chuckled. 

Walking out the room, she headed downstairs. 

"Ah Shiro. Your arm is healed?!" The receptionist called out in shock. 

[Yes. It's recovered completely.] Shiro nodded. 

"Hmm, wait here. I'll have Doctor Hoffman check it just in case there is anything else wrong with your arm ok? It was hurt pretty badly last time." She said. 

Shiro only sighed slightly as she knew she wasn't getting out of the dorm without being checked up first. 

Sitting by one of the spare stools, Shiro waited for Doctor Hoffman to arrive. 

Once again, Shiro didn't have to wait long for Doctor Hoffman to arrive. 

"Oh. Don't you look energetic considering the amount of damage on your arm." He said scratching the back of his head. 

Putting down his bag, he pulled out a tablet and scanned her arm. 

"Holy damn… it really is healed. Not a single mark of damage." Doctor Hoffman remarked as he looked at Shiro. 

"What kind of crack did you take to heal up this well?" 

[Crack?]

"Just slang for drug." He shrugged as he stood up. 

[So how come you're able to come here so quickly?] Shiro asked as being the school healer means there are bound to be other people needing treatment. 

"Because unlike everyone else, I can't just slap an HP potion in your mouth and call it a day." He said giving his neck a stretch. 

[Isn't that a bit irresponsible?] 

"Pft. In this age of magic and wizardry, I'm pretty sure slapping an almost all-powerful potion in anyone's mouth fixes them up real nice. The only responsibility for me is to give them the potion. As your strange injury. I can't just slap a potion in you since it didn't heal the arm. Therefore, I need to be responsible or else I'm pretty sure the principle will come rip me a new one." He shrugged. 

Packing his bag up, Hoffman walked away.

'Weird but not necessarily incorrect.' Shiro thought. He wasn't wrong with the part about responsibility. 

In this new age of magic, near-fatal injuries could just be fixed with a spell or a potion. Responsibility within this area of medicine was no longer a thing. 

There were no assigning months upon months of medication for a small wound to be healed, nor was there a need for constant check-ups. 

You're injured? Potion. Next patient please. 

It was that simple. 

Seeing that she was free to go, Shiro stood up and walked out the school premises. 

Going through her checklist of things to do, she realised that there were only a few days left until the faction recruitment. 

'If I take Lyrica to a level 15 to 20 dungeon, I should be able to get her to level up. Hopefully, all the way to level 20 or even 21 if we do her class up.' She thought. 

Checking the time, she walked towards Helion's shop after seeing that it was almost 9am. 

"Oh good morning Shiro. You checking up on the armour?" Helion asked as he yawned slightly. 

[Yes. How's the progress so far?] Shiro smiled as she was the first customer of the day.

"I only got a single boot left to do. If you wait by the side I'll have it done in no time." Helion said, gesturing at one of the chairs. 

Shiro nodded as she sat down. 

"So your arm's fixed now? I was surprised seeing it all cast up and not healed with a potion or spell." 

[The damage was mostly unhealable and had to be recovered naturally.] Shiro smiled. 

"Is that so. Congratulations on healing then. Don't worry, I won't give you a discount." Helion said with a slight chuckle. He still remembered how Shiro didn't want any gifts or discounts the first time they met. 

[Thanks.] 

Pulling out his equipment, he started to make the final boot as Shiro played with Yin.

"Little Yin, you have so much mana but can't do sh*t with it. When can you actually pull your weight?" She muttered teasingly. Even though Yin was only level 5, his power just from his HP and MP alone could be compared to a level 20+.

Yin made a sad face as if Shiro had wronged him. Scooping up the mana stones, it stuffed them into its mouth with a silent tear.

Shiro giggled seeing Yin's behaviour when an idea struck her. 

"Little Yin do you understand me?" Shiro asked. 

Yin nodded its head as Shiro grinned.

"Are you a boy?"

Yin tilted her head in disdain and made a spitting motion. 

"So you're a girl?" Shiro asked feeling happy Yin was a girl. Girls were more fun to look after, animal or not.

Yin nodded her head and flapped onto Shiro's shoulder.

Rubbing her head against Shiro's cheek, she wanted to gain more of Shiro's affection. 

"I'll love you more if you could fight ah." Shiro said rubbing her head.

Not too long after, Helion had finished the boot as he brought out the other pieces. The moment the pieces came into close contact with each other, a slight silver purple glow encased each on as Shiro widened her eyes in surprise. 

'He made set equipment?!' 

Set equipments are as it says, worn in sets. With a certain amount of pieces worn, a bonus effect would be triggered as they could be anything ranging from extra points to one's stats or a set skill. 

Set skills were outrageous skills since they needed equipment of the same set to be invoked. 

'If I recycle this set armour, I'll be able to add the set skill to an armour I make in the future.' Shiro thought as this was a rare opportunity. It's not every day you see set equipment being made. 

Especially if it was for a level 20. Even in her past life, the lowest level set equipment she saw was level 50. She didn't know if this was good or bad, but she knew it was an opportunity none the less.

"Well… I certainly didn't expect this." Helion muttered surprised by himself.

Each of the pieces was extremely mediocre on their own. However, the set truly shines when one looks at the set effects.

The 2 and 4 piece effects didn't interest Shiro but the final advantage was outrageous. Shiro recognised that to be the same skill bosses could use. 

A 20% attack speed and 20% power were no joke at higher levels. Even the -40 was something negligible. 

"Shame this appeared on a level 20. If it was higher, I wouldn't even sell it." Helion lamented as skills no longer worked if a person was 5 levels higher. 

'Hehehehe, this miss can recycle this and use the skill whenever ah.' Shiro grinned. 

This was what truly makes her Nanomancer class thrive. While she could create weapons, they will and always be skillless blanks, except for the long ranged weapons.

With her skill recycle and reprint, she could effectively make the most insane weapon for a limited amount of time, whenever and wherever she wanted.

Hopping over to the equipment she looked at it with a smile that resembled that of a lecherous old man. 

[How much?] Shiro asked. 

"…600 thousand USD." Helion said after a pause. Considering the strength of this set, it can help someone clear their class advancement pretty easily. Therefore, the price would naturally be high.

Grabbing the crystal, Shiro transferred the money over without hesitation as this set was too precious. Not only for her, but for Lyrica as well. 

It would take her a while before she can get Nano Tech Armour Creation. Therefore, in the time it takes, Lyrica can be using this set until level 25.

[Thanks.] Shiro said as she left the workshop with the armour in her inventory. 

Helion could only wave goodbye as he lamented the armour not being higher level so he could use it.

After walking out the store, Shiro had received a text message and opened her phone.

[Aarim: Shiro, your outfit has finished dyeing. As for the one for your friend, it'll take me a few more hours to finish.] 

Tapping away on her phone, Shiro replied as such.

[Thank you. I'll come to collect it later today.] 

Aarim only replied with an okay as Shiro walked towards a D ranked Dungeon. 

It was the same Dungeon she fought against last time, the Frag Ant's Burrow. 

But this time, she had more of a guarantee to kill the boss. Her arrows fired from the Nano Tech Bow housed an astounding amount of penetrative power. 

So much in fact, that should she fire a fully charged arrow at the boss, she'll be able to shatter the mana shield. 

Naturally, the best thing was for her to kill it straight away, before it could put up any form of defence. 

After arriving at the Dungeon, she made sure no one saw her enter. 

Yin Style Phantom Arts: 1st Phantom – Illusionary Phantom.

Entering inside the Dungeon, she could already hear Frag Ants crawling towards her. 

"This missy doesn't have time for you." She muttered as snow started to fall. 

Stomping down, ice erupted outwards as it froze the entire area around her. 

Walking towards the first boss, Shiro had no mobs obstruct her way since they were either frozen to death or had no way to reach her.

Seeing the familiar Bombard Frag Ant, Shiro created a Nano tech bow and drew back on the string. 

Neon blue mana twisted into an arrow as it was notched and aimed towards the Bombard Frag Ant. 

Charging up the arrow with a bit more mana, Shiro let the arrow fly.

*BOOM!!!!

The arrow crashed through the ant as it obliterated its body with ease. 

"Heh, that Flying Frag Queen better watch her ass." Shiro grinned as she walked to the teleporter.

I'm captured? Fine, I can't help it since I can't move.

Experimented on? At least give me some anaesthetic.

I'm freed? Let me get some revenge.

Want to plead for your life? Sorry, this miss here holds a grudge.

I destroyed the lab so now let me explore this world freely.

I somehow joined Mr Hero's party. Fine, he seems fun.

"Aiya, how cruel. For the honour of being a hero you'd kill this missy huh?" She smiled whilst bleeding out.

"Che, you still have the mind to joke right now?" He said with a glare.

"What is life if not to enjoy every moment? Since I'm going to die and I can't avenge myself, I hope someone else does."

"No one will. You were the only one who was more powerful than I with your Nanomancy. Now with you out of th-"

"Hush child. I'm trying to die in peace here."

"But I'm ol-!"

"Ap! Good children don't disturb their elders."

"But yo-!"

"Bye~" She grinned before losing strength.

"FUCK!"
