That was basically a game she and Zheng Hongxi worked together without Chen Mo's help, so it was particularly special.

Zheng Hongxi finally breathed a sigh of relief and let out a smile. Despite being asked by Chen Mo to make many changes to the story as well as several big changes to the story, it was finally over.
This process improved Zheng Hongxi's understanding of writing for games as well as his understanding of manipulating the emotions of the players.
Now Zheng Hongxi was looking forward to the reaction of the players, will they like his writing?

Chang Xiuya was curious.
Everyone knew that Su Jinyu and Zheng Hongxi had been working hard to make an interactive fiction, but they didn't know what type of game it would be or anything about the story.
There were many interactive fictions in this world and was one of the more classic genres. Many video game designers who liked story driven games would usually have interactive fiction as their first game.
It was partially because that the game was easy to make, all it needed was a good story. Other resources would include getting a good set of artwork and probably outsourcing someone to do the audio as well.
However, as there were so many interactive fictions on the market, it was significantly harder to break through as well.
The interactive fictions of this world were very much similar to the previous world, mostly city life or transmigration to medieval times. This was because most interactive fiction players are female, and they tend to like these themes more.
Chang Xiuya also played interactive fictions, but after playing a million different interactive fictions, most of their story would coalesce into one, making it quite boring after a while.
If the only difference between interactive fictions were their story, they may as well read novels instead.
Chang Xiuya was worried that Lifeline would be similar to other interactive fictions. However, since the manager overlooked this, his games are usually...
Yep, other than I Am MT being a little bit scummy, the other games were quite creative.
The icon of the game was fairly dark, with a small person in it who looked like an astronaut. The top right of the icon had a weird radio wave icon.
"Umm. Is it scifi? That's fresh."
Chang Xiuya tapped on the icon, entering the game.
She was then met with a pop-up window, "Lifeline is an interactive fiction that spans over a few days. Your gaming experience might be affected without push-notifications. Please enable push-notifications to enhance your experience."
Chang Xiuya tapped on 'Allow'.
A window that looked like a chatting app popped up. Soon, messages started appearing.

"Does this work?"
"Can anyone hear me?"
Chang Xiuya was a bit shocked after the questioning, but now two different choices appeared in the bottom: 'Who's there' and 'Yes I can hear you'.
Chang Xiuya felt that these had about the same meaning and wouldn't affect the story, then tapping on 'Yes I can hear you."
"Oh, thank goodness! I was finally able to contact someone!"
"I've waited for hours!"
Another two choiced popped up: 'Who are you?' and 'What happened'?
Chang Xiuya thought that it would be better to ask who they were, tapping 'Who are you?'.
After two choices, Chang Xiuya already understood the difference between this and other interactive fictions.
Lifeline didn't have any narration or background descriptions, it was set up entirely as a chatting software. But instead of chatting with real people, the player would be chatting with fictional characters from the game.
Conveying the world using a sci fi chatting app improved the immersion. This included sending the player notifications, giving the player an impression that they were talking to a real person.
Chang Xiuya started chatting to this astronaut named Tyler based on what she felt was right.
Through chatting, Chang Xiuya discovered that Tyler was an astronaut on a cargo pod, but crashed on an alien plant. However, he was now completely lost. He was a student who boarded to perform an experiment, and had no experience in dealing with emergency situations like these.
However, Tyler seemed quite optimistic, even making jokes in such dire situations.
Chang Xiuya even laughed at the jokes he made.
"So is the final task to help this astronaut escape? Doesn't seem too difficult. It's probably easier than the crazy scenarios from Chinese dramas set in ancient times right..." thought Chang Xiuya.
"There's a white mountain nearby that's a few miles out. But this mountain... looks a bit weird, it's vertically symmetrical so it doesn't seem quite natural."
"The crash site of Varia seems a bit closer than the mountain. What should I do?"
There were two choices: 'Head towards crash site' or 'Head towards mountain'.
Chang Xiuya knew that this was a key choice for the plot. As Tyler hinted, the mountain was shaped weird, and it was further away, obviously he should go towards the crash site!
Chang Xiuya chose 'Head towards crash site'.
"Makes sense, there could be survivors..."
"Alright, I'm heading South. This should take at least one hour. I'll let you know when I get there."
Afterwards, the system displayed a 'Tyler is now busy' message.
Chang Xiuya was shocked, what is this?
There weren't any other choices, and Tyler stopped talking as well. The game just stopped without any further notifications.
Chang Xiuya looked back at what Tyler said.
"It can't be that he's really going to message me an hour?!"
Chang Xiuya was shocked. It was the first time she encountered an interactive fiction like this, making the player wait for an hour for nothing?!
All Chang Xiuya could do now was wait. She didn't close the app, however, fearing that she wouldn't receive the message when Tyler replies.

I didn't want to believe my ears at first, at what Santino said to me through that phone call. 
I did not want to be in a death trap, let alone be an inch close to it. Suspension or termination from Saturn-Voyde was the least of my problems. I took my mind off the phone call by proofreading reports from the lower floors, who also had the responsibility of getting managing the customer feedback on our products via our website. 
These products ranged from the most basic such as air conditioners and television sets, to more complicated things such as heavy machinery, and in some cases, uh...certain 'toys' to pleasure one's needs. 
When I meant by "pleasure", I wasn't talking about the company's blenders or stoves, it was the other kind of pleasure. You get the picture. 
My job on the 20th floors was mainly proofreading and monitoring information from both the 10th and 30th floors. In a nutshell, these floors are essentially one giant workhorse, and we essentially trust each other with the information we get, the income we get, the refunds the company has to endure when customers end up complaining. 
There was a lot to do, and the Director trusted that nobody acted like a diva, an attention seeker, an asshole, or all three combined. That trust of his was around since the day the company first standed on its two feet back in the late 90's. 
Who would have thought really, that the Director and his father started out small back then selling books of all kinds; fiction, non fiction, self help, cooking, the list goes on. People will essentially read anything, in the same manner as people today will watch anything on TV produce by those jokers at Sternwood. It didn't matter if the shows were smart or not, people will gobble up that entertainment as long as it "wasn't boring."
Yeah….there's a reason why the Director was rumored to dislike Sternwood nowadays. Too many extreme emphasis on comic book adaptations if not the cinematic universe from Fantastic Comics which seem to pump out movies harder than a milking machine for cows, and that was saying something. From what I heard, the Director praised movies from Sternwood's Golden Age, the kind where, in his words, truly defined the critical thinking process to be conducted by the average person; to test and showcase new possible theories about the future. 
Some sci fi movies of the 40s and 50s made predictions about flying machines with portable computers or televisions; those would be the DataPods known today. 
But as to what Santino told me over the phone, that was on my mind until my shift was actually over. I could have called him through lunch time, although even I had no idea how wired the Saturn-Voyde building was. I may have not seen it, but I had a feeling that the people in Research & Development definitely thought of creating a recording device that not only recorded an individual's voice, but also record the audio from another device. 
A device recording another recording device, does that make any sense to you? On second thought, don't think about it too much, you wouldn't want to blast your brain out. 
"What were you talking about before?" I asked Santino via the phone by the time I was walking a few meters away from the building. 
"Elotro, surely a someone who worked at Saturn-Voyde must know that the company's had history of tapwiring CCTV cameras all over the city, if not every DataPod around the nation."
I sighed in anger. "Allow me to remind you that I am by no means a Higher employee there. I just recently got moved to the 20th floors!"
"Regardless, you'd still be a good cause for the BLV. Mortiqar has yet to face their trial, and besides, you think it would be easy to recall every single dosage of Blue Moon?"
I couldn't answer that question, Santino had a great point on that. Sighing, I asked him to give me more information about what he wants me to do exactly. 
"Agent Delaney suspects that someone's pulling strings between Mortiqar and Saturn-Voyde. Recalling a product never takes a sonic speed amount of time, but I suspect whoever got my son Blue Moon, must be part of a group that's trying to sell it under the government's nose."
"Bootlegging Blue Moon?" I asked in surprise. 
"Exactly. You think my son was the only one who got a Blue Moon needle in him?" Santino's words made me think of the colleague I saw in the building that one instance, or on the local news when people were found dead with Blue Moon coming out of their mouths or a needle sticking out of their arm. 
I hated to admit it, but Santino had a point about Blue Moon not disappearing due to a recall.

Everyone wants a happy life, but not everyone is reasonable enough at how they make themselves happy. 

Elotro Risas loves his nation of Decou, but nothing breaks his heart more than seeing his fellow Decouns slowly killing themselves with a certain nootropic known as Blue Moon, as if Decou hasn't had its tough hardships enough throughout history. 

Within a nation of a bleak, weird and dark future, Elotro goes on a journey to not only eliminate Blue Moon, but with a new age full of firm rules, laws, and certain people in society, will he be able to achieve what he calls as "the ultimate form" of serving his country?

It's still so dark and cold yet his phone which lit up due to a notification woke him up from his slumber. He watch as the time goes from 1:46am to 1:47am before he decided to rub his blurred eye and release a small groan. His head pounding from a slight headache from lack of sleep and disturb sleep but he still read what's the commotion is all about. It was from his good friend, Jack. 

Jack: Hey Bud, I probably woke you up but I hope you're fine. 

Corpse: Wym Jack? 

Jack: Oh good you're awake. I'm gonna call. 

Just a few seconds after he read the last message it was replaced by a caller ID, he decided to answer it as he yawns. "What's it about, Jack? " 

"I'm really really sorry if I woke you up but you need to know! Twitter's blowing up and it's about your girl. Go check it out. " Upon hearing the news he immediately jumped out of bed and turned on his pc to check if it's true. It's not like Jack would ruin people's sleep for a joke or something.

"What happened? How did this happen? Are you with her now? " He exclaimed feeling uneasy with what he was reading on his twitter, he scrolls down and reads everything.

"We're on our way over there right now. I'll call you back later! " Without any words, Corpse hang up and continue scrolling, even forgetting to put on his eyepatch, didn't even care if it hurts his eye he continued looking through everything until he saw a post that has been blown up. A photo of Dior and Cardlin almost hugging each other at the store. 

He slowly backs away from his pc, gripping his phone tightly. "No.. Corpse, she loves you.. Corpse.. don't think about it. " His breathing was short and uneasy, he's trying to calm down but everytime his eyes lands on the photo he can't stop but overthink. 
His phone has been buzzing for awhile with calls, texts and audio messages from Dior yet he didn't notice and closes his eyes as he drops to his bed. 

"Corpse.. please! Please let me hear you! " She sends another audio to him, she didn't even notice the constant knocking at the door made by Jack and Gab, Cardlin lets them in as Dior panicked at the corner of the room. Gab went to her side trying to calm her down. "What happened Di? " Gab asked softly but was answered with silence and Dior constantly staring at her phone. 

"What happened bro? How did you get so close? " Jack asked Cardlin and Cardlin who was just watching everything answered. "She..she tripped and I happen to catched her and then someone snap a photo and posted it on twitter. " Jack nodded in understanding and look back at his bestfriend. "She's a hard shell but to Corpse she's very fragile. You've known each other for almost a week now you probably noticed that. They're such a complicated couple due to their anxieties. " 

Cardlin nodded and stared at her feeling as if it's his fault for coming into her life, for escaping his reality and ruining hers. 

"I have an idea. Come here. We'll all take a picture and let me handle it, okay? Don't worry now. " Gab said softly and Dior starts to nod still staring at her phone waiting for Corpse to get back to her. His phone must've been filled with unread messages and missed calls. Jack and Gab talked for awhile leaving Dior and Cardlin at the couch in complete silence. 

"Are you okay? You know what, I apologize. " Cardlin started that made Dior look at him. "For what? For catching me earlier? You'd rather want me to be trending by falling over? " Pouting and wanting to cry Cardlin panicky raised his hands to say no. "T-that's not what I mean. I mean.. For coming here, for ruining your reality and escaping mine. " Cardlin's eyes soften as his words lingers. 

"I don't know what you're going through and why you're here but I didn't regret meeting the one I idolize and that's you Cardlin. Everything that has happened was part of being a public icon, they're curious. They dig too deep sometimes and I have to deal with it because I choose this life. " 

Silence once again reigns between them while Gab and Jack tried to think of ways to get the attention of the public eye away from Dior. "I don't really know. If a photo can do that then we should do it right? I mean it's just a photo of us hanging out. " Jack hesitantly said. "Babe, I don't know how much will affect the public eye but I know it will work okay? Trust me. " They both nodded and decided to do that. 

They told Dior and Cardlin about their plan to just take photos of them that was having fun, getting ready for the photo they set up some beers on the table and barbeque a few meat then snap photos of them laughing. 

Posting it on twitter with a caption "Hang out time!" It was posted on Jack's twitter and Dior and Gab was tagged. "Are you sure you don't need to tag me? " Cardlin ask. "It's fine bro, we respect your privacy. Everything will be fine after this. " Jack answered smiling as his hand were crossed at his back. They continue eating and drinking after that post. 

The post gathered a lot of attention from the public eye and it says there that maybe He's Dior's cousin cause they're hanging out with her bestfriend jack and some would say Have fun or something. 

Corpse on the other hand has seen the photo, he saw her smiling but he noticed her eyes were still uneasy. He knew he couldn't stand a night being angry at her but he's too tired to get up so he stayed in bed and soon he fell asleep. 

"Now, we need to go. Goodbye Di! " Gab said as she hug Dior. "Thank you so much Gab and Old man! " They all laugh. "Alright kid, don't worry anymore okay? Everything's fine now. " With one ruffles on her head Jack and Gab head off. 

Cardlin was pacing back and forth so Dior ask. "What's up with you? " Chugging her 5th can of beer for the night. "Well, Are you and Corpse alright? Is it my fault? " Dior shook her head. "We're gonna be fine. Don't worry, he will get back to me soon. I know he will. " She closed her eyes and Cardlin sat beside her. "Are you sure? " She opened her eyes and look at Cardlin's eye. 

"Our relationship has been a secret for 5 years and ever since people knew I had a boyfriend back then they were so curious who the mystery man is. In this world, mystery makes people curious and people tend to dig deep when they want to know something. If only it's that easy to say to the world how much Corpse means to me. " Cardlin cleared his throat, holding his phone tightly in his shaking hands. 

"Are you willing to tell the world about him? " Dior chug her last drop of beer before she slouch on the couch and closes her eyes. "There is nothing in the world will make me change my mind about Corpse. He's the best thing that has had happened to me and I am willing to shout to the world about him. Nothing else. Cardlin, I love him with every cell in my body and every anxiety attacks I have. Corpse.. is the best.. " her voice fades as she had fallen asleep. 

Cardlin smiles and stops recording the audio in his phone. "Well, atleast we'll let him know. He's so lucky to have you. " He scroll through his phone and click send. 

Corpse was woken up by a buzz in his phone. He looks at it and see the messages that came from Dior and what caught his attention was a single audio message by CardlinInAudio. He opened it and was astonished by what he heard. 

He can no longer hold his grin and wanting to jump in glee he decided to go on twitter and suddenly posted a tweet.

Jack and everyone else not knowing what really happened thought it was because of him being verified on twitter. Well, that's a part of it yet nobody knows what really happened....

"Scanning completed. Citizen ID confirmed: SH13*313. Name: Feng Bujue. Downloading equipment: NL 2055 Model, Single-use Gaming Hub, no detection of additional hardware. Heart rate normal. Nervous connectivity program readying. Please select the connection type.
"Connection type selected as non-sleep mode, adjusting… Adjustment completed. Please confirm to log into the game or return to the main menu.
"Program initiating. Entering the game in ten seconds…"
After the countdown completed, Feng Bujue entered the game world. He was deposited in an environment that was a simulacrum of an elevator, but there was no level panel next to the door. Instead, on the wall to his side, there was a thirty-two-inch touchscreen. On the wall that was opposite the display was a large mirror, reflecting the player's image from head to toe.
Feng Bujue look at his reflection in the mirror. He had morphed into a 3D CG character with a high resolution. He was wearing a black, long-sleeve T-shirt and long jeans; there was nothing eye-catching about him. His gaming avatar looked similar to how he looked in real life. He was just shy of 1.8 meters tall with ruffled, unkempt hair. His facial features were soft, and some might even call them feminine.
With the support of the fourth-generation photon computer, players who were connected to the game could enjoy a five-sense experience that was close to reality, but ultimately, the game relied on CG technology. Thus, it was unable to really plant the players into actual virtual reality.
"Welcome to the game's log-in lobby. These are all the gaming options provided by Dream Inc. Please select to log in to the one that you prefer." The system audio began again, and selectable icons appeared on the touch screen next to him.
There is only one option available. Why do they waste time to introduce this extra step? Is this a sign that the company will introduce more games in the future? Feng Bujue thought to himself. He used his finger to click on the only option—Thriller Paradise. 
"The age of players who log into this game has to be more than sixteen years old. Dream Inc advises against those with heart disease, mental illness, or similar serious illnesses interacting with this program."
This sentence appeared on screen, and the system audio repeated it one more time. After that, three icons appeared on screen—one was 'Log-in Confirm', the other was 'Cancel', and there was a conspicuous link next to these two that said 'General Disclaimers'.
"Mental illness, it says," Feng Bujue said to himself. "Perhaps I should look at this."
He clicked on the third option, and a wordy legal document immediately jumped up on-screen. Just looking at the scroll bar on the right-hand side, he knew that this was going to be a lengthy read. Normally, when people came into such disclaimers or explanations while playing games, eighty percent of them would close it directly or drag the cursor right down to the bottom and then click on 'agree'.
But Feng Bujue was not a normal person.
He was 24, a novelist specializing in detective fiction. His hobby was to proclaim himself shamelessly as an 'artist' or a 'Great Scribe' when people asked him about his career. However, these were not the main points. Instead, one should focus on why he was unique from others.
First, the reason he played this game was to cure his 'illness'. Of course, his illness was not the typical internet addiction but a real, recorded disease. Starting from about two months ago, Feng Bujue had suddenly noticed a weird change to his body. He had used three days to confirm that he had lost the emotion known as 'fear'.
The scariest image and audio he could find was unable to stimulate him. He had skimmed through a parade of horror films and books and coupled them with his imagination to scare himself, but it was to no avail. It was as if a door in his mind had been closed. He clearly knew why certain things were scary and understood why other people would be scared by then, but the sensation of fear would not come.
Therefore, he had gone to the nearest hospital for a check-up, and that was when this whole journey began. The MRI had shown that there was a shadowy spot in his brain, just adjacent to his amygdala. The doctors had then brought up the possibility of a brain tumor.
After that, Feng Bujue had gone to about four of the largest hospitals within the nation to get multiple opinions. None of them could provide him with a clear diagnosis, but they did give him many choices of treatment.
After many exams and many diagnoses from many famed doctors, Feng Bujue had a general understanding of it. This illness of his was meant for the medical history records. As the patient, he had two things to consider. Number one, which doctor should he give the naming right of his illness to, and number two, should he contribute his body to the advancement of science after he passed away?
Two months passed by, and the shadow in Feng Bujue's brain did not change; it did not worsen, nor did it shrink or disappear. His other bodily function was fine. In fact, he could be considered perfectly healthy. After giving it some consideration, he had decided to opt out of the treatment and left the hospital. Since losing the sense of fear was the only symptom, and no one could confirm whether this was fatal or not, he decided to surrender his fate to God.
One day, Feng Bujue stumbled across a closed beta advertisement for Thriller Paradise. The slogan at the time was 'A gaming mode that goes beyond the traditions by placing you right in the middle of fear and despair, which stick to you like shadow, to let you experience fear like you have never experienced it before.'
Following that, he went online to investigate the game further. He watched a professionally-produced promotional video that claimed that it had made many children pee their pants before. It was then that he noticed the link that read 'Purchasing the latest gaming hub will entitle you to a closed beta account.'
Even though it sounded superfluous, the main reason Feng Bujue entered this game was not to 'play-test'. Mainly, he was there to be 'scared'. He did not have high hope for this—he just had this thought that perhaps in this supposedly scary environment, he could regain his sense of fear.
Of course, if that was everything that was wrong with Feng Bujue, he would only be called a patient, but the reason he was 'unique' from others was more than his brain tumor. This was because before he fell ill, he was already different from others. To put it frankly, he was undeniably… a weirdo.
There were many irregular things about Feng Bujue. They were not intense enough to be categorized as a sickness, but they were definitely unfathomable by normal standards. For example, his reading addiction…
His desire for reading was something hard to be understood by normal minds. For example, he could not stop himself from reading the words on the packaging of his shampoo; with the manuals for electronic devices, he would read them from beginning to end, without missing a word; the worst was… he would not even give up reading the labels on new clothes.
As long as something or someone had a relationship with him, Feng Bujue would instinctively gather all the information on it. Furthermore, he was not just reading for fun—he had a surprisingly good reading ability and memory. Even though his memory could not be called photographic, where he could recite everything he read without error, as long as it was something that he had read, years might have passed since then, and he would be able to remember at least sixty percent of it.
"Hmm… This is not so much different from other gaming disclaimers." Feng Bujue took two minutes to finish the disclaimer that was several thousand words long. "The only thing different about it is the few clauses on the sixth paragraph…"
He titled his head slightly downward and used his left hand to clutch the elbow of his right hand, and the pointing and middle finger of his right hand tapped his face as they slid from his forehead down the bridge of his nose before ending on the tip. This was a habit of his when he was thinking. "In others… if the damage or injury is caused by the player's illness, their company will not bear the responsibility for it."
Feng Bujue felt he could not overrule this clause as a gimmick created by Dream Inc. He had gone through the game design on the official website before. The biggest selling point of the game was a concept called 'Terror Points'.
Based on functions in the photon computer and gaming hub, the player's heart rate, blood pressure, and pulse would be monitored in real time in real life to extrapolate the standard of fear. If the Terror Points experienced by the player in game went over the threshold, the connection would be forcibly cut, and the player would be kicked out of the system. If the player suffered a great anomaly like the ceasing of their heart beat or difficulty breathing, the gaming hub would contact medical help immediately. In other words, the gaming server was connected to the hospital and police servers to minimize the chance of death from gaming.
Feng Bujue clicked agree, and the system audio began. "This is your first time logging into the game. Please select your in-game name."
A textbox appeared on screen, and next to it were the many limiting clauses—the name had to have more than four characters, and sensitive or curse words were not allowed. In the age of photon computers, the power of AIs and computers had reached an incomprehensible level. The system only needed a database of words or even general guidelines, and it would be able to operate on its own to limit all sorts of prohibited behavior. Tricks like FUC*K or A55I-I0LE would not be able to bypass the fourth-generation photon computer. Around a decade ago, there had been people who feared that this kind of intelligent AI would develop sentience and turn against humanity, but so far, there had been no cases to support this worry.
In conclusion, the photon computer was very powerful, but exactly how powerful would only be seen later.
"Scanning completed. IGN Feng Bujue is usable. Please confirm."
Feng Bujue's real name was rather uncommon, so it likely would have been useable, but he used 'Feng' to replace 'Feng' (The original Feng is 'seal', and the IGN Feng is 'crazy'; they're homophones in Chinese.). He did not want to use his real name; plus, he was fond of self-deprecating humor.
After clicking confirm, the system audio said, "Next, the beginner's tutorial will initiate. The tutorial can only be completed once, and the scenario is confirmed. You will gain the base reward after completing the tutorial.
"Please take note. The result of the tutorial will not affect your character's beginning ability, but the reward will be different. Feng Bujue lost his ability to fear because of an unknown psychological disorder. Through a virtual reality game designed for players to experience fright and despair, he began his search for his lost fear. Could he finally regain his ability to fear? Could he outwit the scenarios presented to him? Could he finally uncover the truth hidden inside Thriller Paradise?  


The end of brought a new wave of changes to the city. The citizens traded on their summer wardrobe for a fall wardrobe. 

It was officially the begining of the third half of the year, a lot of production team were gearing up to begin filming. 

A lot of Production companies were in a rush to meet their yearly target and arrange a show list for the upcoming year. 

By this time the scripts for the next half of the year's production were all set. Most Production companies, television stations and streaming sites began casting calls for theor productions.

Everyday a new production was announced and viewers anticipation are raised. The lead roles for most of the dramas were already set, so the casting calls were mainly for other smaller roles.

While a dramas held casting calls for all the roles including the main role. Most dramas and movies who took this path usually held auditions by invitations.

The beginning of autumn also marked the start of the countdown to the lunch of Lu Zhiyuan's new album. The Studio went into heavy promotions on websites and the company's webpage.

They released a few seconds teaser trailer and clips for the recording process. The anticipation was really high. A few days to the album release date, the album cover and tracks was released.

Among the track was list of Lu Zhiyuan's various collaborations, including his collaboration with Liu Qiao Qiao and Shen Xue. His collaboration with Liu Qiao Qiao caused a stir on all social media platforms.

Fans digged up clips of their performance a Lint TV's Summer festival and began to post in forums on anticipation. The news spiked a lot of shipping by fans of Liu Qiao Qiao and Lu Zhiyuan.

After months of anticipation the Release date of the album finally came. The album dropped at midnight and before the 6am had over 12 million downloadeds and online sales. 

The numbers kept rising for days. By the end of the week Baiyu Studios recorded 200 million sales, setting the record for the year. The songs of his album made it to the top of the chart including the song featuring Liu Qiao Qiao.

The album was a success at home and Internationally, Because of its unique concept and it's high quality. Which further established Baiyu Studios in the music industry. 

Baiyu Studios was already well known in the film and my television industry for their high quality production. A lot of netizens were skeptical about their capability in the industry until now.

The success of the album also brought public attention to Liu Qiao Qiao, as fans began to speculate on her next project. Rumors began to spread on the internet of her next project.

After week the audio recording of Liu Qiao Qiao's new singles was done. Lai Zhiqiang invited the executives of Baiyu Studios and Liu Qiao Qiao to listen to the final audio track.

On the day of the screening Liu Qiao Qiao arrived at Lai Zhiqiang's studio and wemt down to the studio. A few extra chairs were added to the control room to accommodate the extra numbers of people.

When she arrived Liu Qiao Qiao was led over to a seat, a few minutes later Shen Xue and Lu Zhiyuan arrived and sat next to her. Bai Zhenzhen was on vacation abroad and couldn't make it to the screening.

Minute later Lai Zhiqiang and Lu Lanying arrived and the screening began. Lai Zhiqiang turned on the system and the song began to play.

 The beat was fast leaning towards latin pop, Lai Zhiqiang did a lot of work in the songwriting. The song was written specifically tailored to Liu Qiao Qiao's voice. 

There was a loud sound of applause when the song ended, everyone was impressed at the finished product that a date was immediately set for filming the music video. They were hoping for a 1st december release to meet next year's music awards.

After some arrangements the date for filming the music video was set. Liu Qiao Qiao flew to  Sunya to film the music video. After four days of filming they wrapped filming and Liu Qiao Qiao returned to B city.

Liu Qiao Qiao had received an invitation to audition for Wow pictures upcoming drama, The Killing Game. It was going to be directed  by Director Ma, an award winning director of a many blockbusters such as Strife and Revive.

Director Ma was a strict director In her late forties. She was known to direct thrillers and science fiction projects. Director Ma was an opinionated strict director that respected only talent. She never allows public opinion or traffic to affect her decisions.

Director Ma was known to work with only the most dedicated of actors. She mainly directed only movies, choosing to direct one drama a year. 

A list of roles a short script was attached to the invitation to the audition. A few notable actors and actresses also received an invitation to audition for the drama.

The Killing Game was a crime thriller about a disgraced Detective that is loses his job after torturing a Suspect to near death, in the bid to get a confession. He returns to his hometown at a rural island, after a few months back he stumple upon the crew scene of the brutal murder of a tourists.

Initially he turns a blind eye to  the whole thing until he discovers a connection between the murder and his last case. On investigation he uncovers that the cases are connected.

He goes back to the city with his findings and recruits a popular female Detective to help him investigate the case. The investigation leads them to a private club ran by the powerful Ma family.

Liu Qiao Qiao was invited to audition for the role of Ma Liyi a young socialite and the orchestrator of the killing game. To prepare for her role Liu Qiao Qiao took shooting lessons and boxing classes to get ripped for her role.

"Ugh, I've lost all hope for the queen since we found out that she was using her sons for some evil plot," Man said to friends. 

"Yeah I've lost hope too and I heard that Kp is coming to give her a good lesson," one of his friends said. 

"Let's just hope that cheers boys!" They began to drink their beer and turn the tv to listen to the news report. 

4:00 Pm Buckingham Palace, England. Inside the palace was Unkept the walls had Swords and claw marks they also had holes in them. The smell of blood was in the atmosphere. Investigators were sent to document the scene. 

Outside The Norwegian Deathmatch Battalion, we're outside ready to unleash hell if anything happens. Led by their future King Elex Amber. Kp arrives alone, unprotected, defenseless, with no bodyguard nothing. 

"General?" He called through the earpiece. 

"We are ready and in Position your Majesty at your command and we are going to storm the palace from every angle," Elex said. 

"Got it" he hangs up and Turned on his Camera. He walked to the palace entrance. The doors open and a red carpet rolls down to his feet. 

He walks into the hallway lights up with candles. He walks carefully through the Halls. Making his way to the room that Elizabeth wanted to meet her. 

*creak...* Elizabeth turns to him. "Welcome old friend take a seat please," 

Kp does so and sits down. 

"Looks like you certainly changed up the palace since the last I came here," Kp said taking a seat. 

He looked around seeing through the Mask that is Illusions magic. "Look if you're going to fool try at least a little better than that" 

Back in Olivia's home she and her roommates watched the live camera that was on Kp's chest. "Hahaha!!! Since the day Jackson Why life has never been the same, that boy held me together now he's my hahahhahahahahaahah!!!! Insanity is out!!!!" 

She lunges at Kp who just smiled and His head was decapitated. "Hahahahahahahahahahhaa!!!! Aahahaha the world is mine!!!" 

"Sir we must storm in now!" 

"No Not until the order." 

"Oh, you thought I would not come here without a plan Nooo... I guess you haven't learned anything have you?" The decapitated head said. 

"Look I've been meaning to get a look lately, maybe white hair would look good, yeah maybe it will" 

A flash of light blinded the people and her. After the dust settled. Olivia and everyone in the Alarie family Saw their hair Change to a blinding white color. 

"Ahh... Boy, it feels great!" Kp turns to Elizabeth. She smiled and Injected herself with Syrup. "The doors have hell have opened!!!" She chanted. 

Lillian walks out of the shadows. "How long were you standing there?" Kp asked. 

"For a while " she responded. Kp floats back down to the ground and was immediately attacked. By a beast. 

"Let's see this virus in action shall we? Kill him Elizabeth." 

He growled like a monster and bites down at His shoulder. He remained silent and didn't flinch. 

"Hmph, I guess if my overpowered-ness isn't enough huh? F" 

The author smiles. 

"And I hope you can give a fight and a good one" kp said as he was pummeled to the ground thrown to the air and lunch to big Ben. 

"Sir?" 

"Hold your fire make sure that all civilians are evacuated immediately!" 

"Yes sir." 

Elizabeth broke the base of the tower and crumbled to the ground. It digs up the remains and finds Kp motionless. 

She smiled and then laughed maniacally. Before half of her face Disintegrated into dust. "I told to put up a better fight" 

Kp said pushing the rubble away. "How?" She asked. "How? Well simple I just punched you hard and I think it broke several bones *crack!* ahhh!!!" 

Lillian appeared behind him and grab his neck and throws him into space. She sends Elizabeth to ground him back. She Threw back into the atmosphere. He heats up and after hitting the ground made a large crater that destroyed Buckingham palace. 

But Lillian wasn't done. She made her way to the destroyed area and see's Kp lying there motionless. Elizabeth came back down like a ball of fire and hit him making the hole deeper but there were no explosions. Instead, Elizabeth was lunched to Lillian who managed to dodge it barely. She looks back at the hole. Kp was standing there dusting away his clothes which remain clean and unbroken. 

"How!? Is this some kind of joke to him" my answer is yes dues to the author Smile who is next to me? 

"Simple time," Kp said giving her the fingers guns. Now any person with a functioning brain can see that Kp is making fun of Elizabeth and Lillian on live television and yes that camera is still filming. 

"Eh! You're a waste of time and now that I have confirmed that this virus indeed works I can finally have reek havoc on Heaven!!!" Lillian shouted to the clouds. 

"Good luck not like angels are immune to every virus including that one!" 

"Shut you and don't I'm done with Handsome I'll have those lips Just you wait!" She opened her doors and went back to the home of dead evil people. 

"Great first A leader of an entire Ailen species and now the Queen of hell what next A God!?" He yelled. 

"Precisely!" F shouted back. 

"Bruh..." 

"Sir, have you dealt with the threat yet?" Kp looks around for Elizabeth who was lying on the floor still alive. "Yes get a medical team in quick The queen is still alive" 

"Yes sir" 

"*cough...* haha... Funny right an empire that once ruled over the world is now gone like that... What a spectacular show! Hehe" 

Kp sat down next to her. "Hey, can I tell you something?" Kp took a deep breath and turned off his camera and The microphone. 

After a few minutes of silence, the camera turned on and the audio was back. 

"Elex come in" 

"Ready sir?" 

"Send me my Jet" 

"Yes sir" 

He sits back down and waited for the Jet to arrive. "So there you," he said. 

"Your Queen is alive but has lost power and the empire has fallen, well To any government officials listening we will meet tomorrow morning at your preferred location," He said. 

"Well I'll be off now" he turns off the camera. Medical teams have now arrived he watches as they lift her and take her away. 

Olivia sighs. As she continues to watch the broadcast. "Well she wasn't wrong it was a funny show"

"Your grace are you sure about this?" 

"Just do it" 

"As you wish" 

In the dead of night, The future was enjoying a nice stroll at night when he gets grabbed In dragged to the pits of hell. 

"We got him, Ma'am," the demon said placing down an Unconscious Elex Amber. 

"You will be reborn under my will as the Servant of the underworld. Elex amber You are Now reborn" 

"Hahahahahahahaha!!!!"

It was another Monday and L sighed in his room. On top of his bed laid a trench-coat and a mask placed upside down on the bed.
He put his thumb on his lip while looking at a screen in-front of him, this time the screen had its volume up as L looked at the video inside.
"Oh, I misspelled Salami."
"What'd you say?!"
He repeated the video multiple times. The video only showed Cinder's torso and above, and he could not see her other friends or anything else other than Cinder.
The video solely focused on her, and although there were the sounds of the others talking they were not necessary for the brilliant detective.
"Hm" He hummed with his flat tone of voice.
'No matter how much I look at it, I always reach the same conclusion.' He thought while taking a piece of cake from the small table next to him and taking a bite out of it.
'I do not have enough proof to say she is in fact Salem's follower, but I can't help but feel like it is her.' He turned around and looked at the mask he had left on the bed earlier.
"Hmmm, let's revise the bug." He said pressing a button on the screen and getting on his usual sitting arrangement. He pressed a button next to the one he had just pressed which started glowing with the word "Record" on it.
"Cinder, you still haven't said what we are doing to the CCT tower." He heard a male voice over his screen.
"Oh, that is simple. We are using this device our clever tech expert gave us-" She said making L hum.
'Could that be a flash-drive? Or perhaps her scroll?' He deduced while closely listening to his screen.
L heard a knock on the door. L tensed up and rolled sideways so he was behind his bed.
"Hello! Room service" The voice said as Light took a gun from under his bed and put it on his pocket, due to his pockets being shallow the gun stuck out, leaving the handle outside for him to draw. Taking the mask on top of his bed and putting it on he slowly made his way to the door.
When he arrived he made sure to put his gun barrel against the peephole.
He looked at the desk next to the entrance and opened a small drawer. Inside said drawer was paper filled with numbers and names.
"State your name and ID number." The boy said in his usual monotone tone of voice.
"What?" The voice on the other side of the door asked as Light took the paper from inside the drawer.
"State your ID number and name." He repeated, reading the list with one hand and aiming his gun at the peephole with the other.
"Cmon man, I'm just doing my job!" The person on the other side of the door answered. Light stayed silent.
The boy sighed.
"Fine!" He sighed once again.
"Cyan Mitskay. Number J:1023348" He answered. Light checked through the list he had and took the gun off the peephole.
He unlocked the door, but still kept the gun ready just in case.
The door creaked as he slowly opened it to look at the employee.
"I didn't ask for room service." He said looking at the boy who just sighed.
"Yes, but this package came for you from someone called Mrs Nikos the Roman." He said, making L look at the package he had on his hands and nod.
L, without wasting any time took the package from the man's hands and brought it inside the apartment.
"Thank you." He said while closing the door.
'She still uses that code name.' He thought while opening the Package Pyrrha had given him. He locked the door and put the papers back where they belonged before making his way to his room again to check the tapes once again.
"They will never see it coming." He heard Cinder say. Light simply looked at the screen with an emotionless face as he heard the door shut.
He couldn't hear their footsteps through the audio, it was silet with the exception of a breeze.
"They've changed clothes." He deduced, pressing a button on the television. Suddenly the television changed channels. He was in channel 0 and he started to press the button several times until he reached channel 6.
The television changed to a hallway in Beacon, the camera was in movement, bouncing up and down as the person carrying it moved through the hallways of the school.
L made sure to remember the routes he was seeing through the screen as he saw many different landmarks in the school.
"Hey! What class do you have next?" Someone asked. The person turned around, allowing the camera to capture the person addressing him or her.
The torso of a female student in Beacon could be seen through the camera, however the head could not as the camera seemed to be in a place only able to take from the shoulders below.
"I have History next." The person holding the camera answered. The voice was feminine, indicating that it was a woman talking.
"Have you thought about who to ask to the dance?!" The other female asked excitedly as the person holding the camera fidgeted on her place.
"No, but I know who I want to ask." She answered making the other girl give her a thumbs up.
"Is it that friend of yours?" She asked while hitting the camera girl with her elbow.
"N-no! There's no way I could do that, and even if I did, he probably would just say no anyways." She said, making the boy sigh. L turned off the screen and took out his own scroll which had a message on top.
'Audio downloaded'
Light put the audio he had recorded on and listened closely to what it said.
"We are using this device our clever tech expert gave us to hack the CCT tower and to bring it into our control." She said. L hummed and then put a finger on his lip while sitting down in his usual manner.
"So you've got more people backing this operation" He thought out loud while listening to the audio.
"Now I know how to counter your plan. The problem is getting to the dance at Beacon." He thought, closing his eyes while thinking of ways to break in.
""During the dance the security around the CCT will be lowered so they can better supervise the dance. This is the most likely scenario since Ironwood has voiced he will go, and Ozpin is taking part as Beacon's headmaster." He took a bowl under his bed and unwrapped a piece of candy.
"Breaking in the CCT won't be the challenge... Breaking into Beacon will be" He said while closing his eyes and searching for opportunities to break into the huntsmen academy.
"Knock knock." He heard someone yell sarcastical from the other side of the door. Nor recognising the voice, Light immediately grabbed his mask and gun and rolled behind the bed.
'Who is it this time?' He questioned while looking at the door.
"You won't come get the door?" The person asked from outside the apartment.
Light heard a big explosion come from the entrance and got ready for any kind of conflict.
"Cmon out, little detective!" He heard the man say.
"I have to make you pay for putting me in prison!" He yelled, walking closer and closer towards Light's room.
"Cmon L, it took me 5 years to track you down!" L could hear his slow footsteps slowly creaking with the wooden floor, the clanking of his different weapons as he took every step.
Light looked down at his belt and de-attached the smoke bomb he had there. Taking the pin off, he rolled the bomb towards the voice from underneath his bed. The bomb made little to no sound compared to the clanking of the criminal's weapons as he walked, creating an ideal situation where L had the element of surprise. Using the few seconds he had, L took the trench coat on top of the bed and got ready to run.
"Cmon L, won't you come see one of the criminals you arrested?" The man asked. L simply waited three seconds and took off running towards the entrance, where the criminal had been waiting for him.
"Found you!" He yelled, raising a shot-gun at the detective who simply turned around, using the forward momentum he had to kick the man on the chin with his back foot. The criminal reflexively pulled the trigger while being kicked backwards which made him shoot the lights in L's room.
"Herison Terracotta, arsonist, I thought you might come after me." Light said in his usual monotonous voice. The man got up and stared at L with a glare.
"I WILL KILL YOU-"
The smoke bomb went off and L took the opportunity to leave through the door, leaving the man who had just flinched from the smoke bomb alone in the apartment.
L sprinted forwards as fast as he could and tried to reach the elevator as fast as possible.
"L!!!!" He heard the criminal yell while reaching the elevator doors with his scroll in hand. L took off his mask and put it on his trench coat pocket as he put the coat on, along with a hat, making him seem like a completely different person. L then opened the door to the emergency staircase and turned around while looking shocked at the door in-front of him.
He then waited for the elevator to come up. The criminal ran up to the elevators and looked at a disguised L who was staring at the door with a shocked face.
"So the stairs it then!" The criminal yelled, taking the stairs. L simply turned around and went back towards his room.
Sprinting towards it he took his apartment keys, scroll, his mask and his television and put them in all with the exception of the keys in the suitcase. Walking towards the elevator once again L calmly waited for it to descend all the way to the ground floor.
'He should be far away from here, searching for me right now' L thought while looking at his scroll and opening a file inside with a bunch of names, ID numbers and pictures.
Once the elevator reached the ground floor he walked towards the reception and checked the name tag on the receptionist and then the picture. He looked at the scroll in his hands and then at the receptionist closely.
"Could I help you with anything Sir?" The receptionist asked while looking at Light who was checking the man's name and ID number.
"Hmmmm, yes. I would like to check out of this apartment please." He said, making the receptionist nod.
"Of course! Your card and room number please." He took out a small machine with the symbols of wifi engraved on it.
"Room 61." He said handing the card to the man behind the counter who nodded and put the card on a small box.
"Alright, it will in total be-" L stopped listening to what he said, and instead paid attention to his surroundings, he could hear several footsteps coming from the people around him, none were as heavy and metallic as Terracotta's boots. He took out his scroll and paid the man whatever amount of money he needed to and immediately called the cops.
"He has to come back at one point." He said in his flat tone while calling the police.
Reporting a death threat, the detective gave the address and described what Terracotta looked like before going back to the receptionist.
"One last thing" He said looking at the man.
"Be sure to give this girl this card, but only if she also says that she is Roman." He said while giving the receptionist a picture of Pyrrha.
"... Alright sir, I'll be sure to tell her." He said while writing down a note next to him.
"Thank you for staying with us!" He said as L slowly left the building.
"Time to swap apartments again." He thought while walking out of the building.
