As a small compensation that the last chapter took so long, I thought: I'll show you alternative ways how the story could have gone.
1. the bloodthirsty hunter:
In the beginning, Jaguar was supposed to be the antagonist of the story. He should have slightly grey skin and be more like Frankenstein's creature. He should be Talon's most brutal killer and be known for drinking the blood of his victims and because of his enormous regeneration he is almost impossible to kill. The real hero should be a bounty hunter, whose family was once killed by Jaguar, right in front of his eyes.
He or she (this was not yet certain) should join Overwatch to find Jaguar and take revenge on him. For this purpose he/she has made a spear of shining blue metal, which blocks his regeneration. In the end the hero, with Tracer's help (the two have come very close in the course of the story), defeats Jaguar by ramming the spear into Jaguar's heart. Jaguar's corpse then disintegrates, leaving only a black skeleton with silver teeth. The hero then decides to stay with Overwatch and with Tracer.


2. the next generation:
Another idea was: Overwatch stormed a secret lab and Tracer found a kid with silver teeth and claws. Overwatch takes care of him and with his curiosity and skills he often causes chaos. 20 years later he is the leader of a new generation of Overwatch agents.


2.5. The voice:
My actual desired candidate for Jaguar's voice was the actor and musician Sascha Rotermund (voice of Benedict Cumberbatch in The Hobbit, Star Trek and the Marvel movies, Jon Hamm, Armie Hammer, Dan Stevens in "Beauty and the Beast" or currently as the voice of Mandalorian in the series. Furthermore many audio books and audio plays.
    
However, he was already the German voice of Baptiste. So someone new had to be found.


3. the special investigator:
One plan was for Jaguar, instead of a pirate, to be a "Special Investigator of the British Kingdom". So someone who would be called in when " strange" things happened. Agents of the secret service found him in the jungle and brought him (after he bit off a commander's hand) to England. Where they trained him (not completely voluntarily) as a special investigator. He was dismissed, however, and spent his time as a bounty hunter, private investigator and adventure. He is supported by an AI called MINA, which is on a microchip transplanted into him. MINA is very childish and rebellious, the two often fight over words. After meeting Overwatch several times, he later joined them.
The idea comes from the German audio play series: "Oscar Wilde and Mycroft Holmes Special Investigator of the Crown" and "Cyberdetective" in which Sascha Rotermund plays the leading role in both.
P. S. Jaguar's story he reads to the agents is the content of Frank Schätzing's novel " Tod und Teufel" (engl. "Death and Devil"). With the difference that the novel is set in Cologne and that not the Queen but the bishop is to be murdered.

Ruby Rose didn't truly know what to expect when the headmaster of a prestigious huntsman academy personally gave her an invitation.

There were so many stories about those that graduated and became full fledged guardians of humanity on their own, protecting the innocent and fighting off the forces of Grimm.

And how could she not? She grew up listening to those stories after all.

It was a simple ideal that she strove for with simple determination, and perhaps it was one of the only things left to her by a loved one she knew she couldn't get back.

She could hear a snicker come from beside her - obviously knowing from who it came from - but her eyes were locked onto the scene on the stage.

Of the old gray haired headmaster of the school being berated by some guy who looked to be a student's age, and of the assistant headmistress, Glynda Goodwitch, watching with no small hint of exasperation written on her face.

"-and to always give "Plus Ultra!". Right, sonny?" The man finished his scolding.

It was already surprising for an old, experienced huntsman of great renown be interrupted by someone who was quite evidently younger than him.

It was more surprising for said young man to be nicknaming said old huntsman with things an elderly man would talk to a youngster.

But it completely floored the student hopefuls when the headmaster actually sighed in resignation and acquiesced to the younger man's words with a nod.

"Good, now if you'll excuse me, I have to go back to trying to get your ex-wife to stop 'sending gifts' again. I swear, you old people really know how to send someone out of their comfort zone if they tried. Have you seen that mass of writhing tentacles she sent me?"

An audible groan could be heard from the blonde teacher by the side of the stage, as the headmaster could only stay silent in what seemed to be internal shame and discomfort.

"Dinner will be served the at the mess hall by five-thirty. You will all be sleeping at the ballroom, and initiation begins tomorrow morning. You are dismissed." Ms. Goodwitch ended, snapping some of the students out of their confused stupor.

Even as Ruby thought of that… peculiar event that happened that day, she still couldn't get one question out of her mind.

You know, I always imagined how great being born in another world would be, but I never thought of what I would lose. Yes, I got what I wanted, adventure, but my image of it was very different from reality. The comfort and peace of modern life is nothing but a memory. How did this all start? Well, I had a classic run in with a truck.
I was making my way to work, book in hand. Or was it some kind of manga? I cannot remember exactly. I always loved to read, I miss the days I could. Making my way across a crosswalk with my eyes trained on whatever I was reading, a truck was barrelling down the street, honking its horn. I turn to see what was going on to only be a few mere moments before meeting the cold metal of the truck. My shoes glued to the ground in shock and fear. I screamed at my legs to move but the overwhelming terror was too much. The last thing I remember is the sheer pain of the collusion.
Then I found myself in an endless abyss. Nothing but darkness. A light blue glow appeared before me. It was a small screen, with text reading "Greetings. You have unfortunately died. Would you like to reincarnate?" with a "yes" and "no" button underneath. Though, I was too busy panicking over my death. To be fair, anyone would be shocked if they died. I honestly do not know how the protagonists of all the stories I have read accept it so easily. They died but they brush it off like if it were nothing. Death is not something to be taken so lightly, but that is beside the point. After I was (mostly) over the shock of the situation, I approached the little screen.
My head was filled with shock but also wonder at the prospect of reincarnation. Thoughts like, "I could be like the heroes in all those stories I read?" swirled in my head. Tapping on it, it showed a new prompt. "Input your preferred world type if any. Leave it blank if you have no preferences." I typed in that little text box like a madman. "Fantasy selected. Please wait a moment."
After a minute a new prompt appeared. "Due to popularity of world type. This may take a long time to find a suitable world." Due to the long wait, I started playing games with myself. Before you judge, the abyss does not exactly have anything else to do, so please give me some slack.
After what seemed like an eternity. An audible ding rang out. "World 6C757669746F76 is available to join. Do you wish to join?" Tapping the "yes" button, another bit of text appeared. "Welcome to the world of Luvitov." Impatient and excited, I... accidentally tapped "ok" twice.
"Please sele-- No skill chosen. Beginning transfer, please wait a moment." A shocked calm surrounded me before storm of regret and sorrow came in. My ticket to an easy life has just slipped between my fingers before my very own eyes. I insulted and cursed at myself. Though that did not last long before my body disintegrating into shimmering shards of light. 
The feeling of cloth surrounded my legs and torso when they completely disappeared. My other four senses soon caught up to my sense of touch as my head was consumed.  My vision cleared to see a wood ceiling above me while being inside a cradle.

"Transfer complete. Good luck."

It was 8:30 pm and Jonathan was moving in the shadows of the night. No fear was in his eyes and honestly he never saw anything except the destination he was going to. At this time Timberton Town was quiet and less people walked around. Jonathan walked with his hands in his pockets along a well lite roadside. He met a few people at different intervals and they all seemed to have been from work rushing to their homes in the opposite direction to where he was heading. At his age fear was supposed to be one of those things that would be on top of his list. But that didn’t seem the case on that day for a fifteen year old teen. He walked upright and with confidence remembering one of his father’s stories of how walking with an upright head and looking at those he bypassed made him intimidate a criminal he met when he was younger. He remembered that his father had always told him to put his hands in the pockets when moving during the night. This action he recalled would scare off even the hardest of criminal who might mistake him for someone carrying a weapon in his jacket or pants. 

“I guess dad was right. No one I meet seems to be intimidating me,” he said to himself in a voice he could only hear. 

He kept on moving with a heavy heart and tears filling his eyes. He removed the tears rolling down his cheeks with his right hand and tried to prevent any tears from accumulating in his eyes. “Keep it together Jonathan, this will soon be over,” he told himself. After a few minutes of walking his destination was visible and he felt his heart beat increase about twice the normal rate. His legs felt heavy and unmovable as if preventing him from going a step further but he subjected them to his mind control and they abided. As he went closer it become clearer in the mist covered air. There it was the Fornton Bridge a spectacle that made Timberton a famous town for both the good and the bad reasons. The good reasons being that it was the first bridge that was made in the town across the Glowell River in the late 50’s and a marvel of engineering spanning a length of about five hundred meters. A beauty to behold with its red and white painted steel bars that held it in place with strength. It was a common story among the elderly of how they would walk along it to view the beautiful river below. Some would speak of how they proposed on the bridge to their lovers and being accepted. So many stories of goodness revolved around this bridge and also the bad one that put its town on the map. One of the worst ones and everyone would agree was its collapse in the late 90’s. This disaster led to the deaths of about eight hundred people mostly those indigenous to the small town. It was all over the news countrywide and made the town famous for the wrong reasons. Timberton mourned its dead loved ones as a town and till this day the pain of that accident is felt by the several families that lost a member. The bridge become known to be the destroyer of happiness and bringer of death. On a separate occasion about a year after the accident in the same month of August, a man fishing along the river edge under the towering bridge got killed when a piece of Steel metal from the bridge fell on his head. This further led to the bridge and the area around it being said to have bad luck and the belief that the ghosts of those killed in the accident still resided around it. But today it stood unused, neglected and its massive metal structures covered in thick rust. All these incidences and other stories happened a long time before Jonathan was born and they did not affect him that much. He cared less about those stories. To him this bridge was nothing but a pile of worthless metal still standing far beyond its time. 

“Here we go,” he said to himself as he started to walk on its side walk holding the side supporters tenderly. 

He moved further and further as the wind brought by the river hit his leather jacket from the right. His desire was to reach the point where the bridge split in two and collapsed. He reached his point of interest and took a deep breathe. He went to the very edge and looked down to see some of the rumble that had fallen into the river with the moon light over his head. It was a distance of about seventy meters from the top of the bridge to the river surface. Jonathan moved away from the edge and sat by its side with emotions of sadness covering his face. He had reached the place he was aiming for and now what was left was to do what he had come for. He checked his digital watch which showed 9:20pm on its screen twenty minutes after his bedtime. 

“It’s good that I lied to them that I would sleep early. If they knew where I am they would be shocked out of their minds,” Jonathan spoke to himself in an audible voice. 

Jonathan looked around and forced a smile on his face. “One thing all those stories are right about is this place is really beautiful and I understand why young men of the old days brought their girlfriends here to propose to them. No one would deny someone surrounded with such beauty. Anyway, those were the lives of others and not for all of us. Happiness is not for everyone and certainly not for me,” he said as he stood up removing his jacket from his body and throwing it to the ground. “At least what am about to do will make the bullies have something to think about and make this bridge famous one more time.” Jonathan came to end his life because of bullying.

The grounds shook once again whilst the elders huddled together frozen in fear.

Aelia, the virgin maiden struggled with the chains that bounds her hands and feet on the altar in the swampy cave. Her voice no longer audible from crying all day long.

She pleaded one more time with the elders.
"Please, release me from these bonds, I am the only fruit of my mother. Have mercy on my Widowed mother and let me go. I am innocent"

"Your mother is a whore. She birthed you in whoredom and polluted our land." Antonio Cicero, the Chief Council glanced at her with disdain.

"We are only doing what we should have done from the beginning. You heard the High Priestess. Only your blood will purge the land," Gallus, the Council Scribe, spat out.

Rocky debris started falling as heavy footsteps draws closer. Maddon, the ancient dragon of Luca has been invoked by the High Priestess Liviana. The elders withdrew to the mouth of the cave in fear, leaving Priestess Liviana with her spells. No one has ever seen Maddon, but stories from their ancestors told of the fury and death that this creature can unleash.

Still struggling with her chains, Aelia cried hoarsely. She looked at the Elders of the Council with finality.

"I curse you all with the same fate as mine. May the city of Luca never know peace but blood. The sun will be your enemy and the moon will judge your evil. Your daughters will know death as mine, and your sons shall be entrapped by the very sin you accused my mother of. You believed the words of a vengeful witch when it was clearly told that Haddon is only given animal sacrifices, and not human. For this, may Haddon only ever accept human blood till all generation of Luca passes."

Maddon emerged from within the cave roaring and breathing fire. His scales shinny and sharp as a whetted sword. The eyes were fiery red, the sight terrifying. Looking down from its huge height, it's vision focused on the writhing figure on the stone altar. It roared once again as it approached the raised stone. Aelia was paralyzed with fear as it brought its nose closer and smelt her. The next second it swooped down and took the human maiden whole in its mouth. Blood splattered on the stone altar with bits of flesh falling of the side of the dragon's mouth.

The terrified elders fled for their lives, and thus began the Curse of Maddon in the city of Luca.

The more he struggled, the more he felt himself dragged deeper into the swampy Cave.
The shackles on his left foot scorched his skin. Intense pain shot through his spine to his heart. He was doomed. The moment he ventured into the forbidden, his fate was sealed.
The roar of Haddon, the dragon-like spirit being that enforces retribution shook the surrounding caves. Horrible screams can be heard from further within the cave. Luciano Servius willed himself not to make a sound.
Would that be his fate in the next hour or not? No. He has to survived. He must live. He has to save the next generation of Luca. But first he must find out if Persis, Flavia and Maximus still lives. He prayed they are alive. Because of him, his entire family has been offered to Haddon to purge the land of evil as prophesied by that lunatic Priestess, Liviana. Still nothing gets purged. The bloodbath continues, the demands for sacrifices threatening their very existence.

The elders of Luca made a blood pact with Liviana some years ago. The curse of Haddon was unleashed on the land, and gory deaths have increased. Now, he must break it to preserve their lives and future.

CHAPTER 27- Forbidden Continent. 
  
Time ago. 
  
Cris, who had been reincarnated as a green Slime, was frightened and confused by his new body. 
  
His reaction was obvious. He had just died, reincarnated and was now a Slime.

Zius was not responsible for his reincarnation. The supreme God did.

These were all strategic methods.

Why did he go through all this trouble?

It was because Zhang Ye was trying to pull up his listenership ratings!

His current "Old and Young Story Club" listenership ratings were approximately 2.4% or so. It was second in the Literature Channel. If it went any higher, then he could break a few records. That would be extremely helpful for him in winning a Silver Microphone Award. Then, it would be quite certain that he could win the prize.

Zhao Guozhou's image had changed today. He had permed his hair. He held out the ratings table as usual, "Stop the things that you are doing for a moment. Is everyone here?"

Tian Bin looked towards an empty seat, "Zhang Ye isn't here."

Zhao Guozhou frowned, "He isn't here yet? What time is it already?"

Big Sis Zhou spoke out for Zhang Ye, "Little Zhang must have been too tired over the past few days, so he's a bit late. I'll give him a call." She took out her cellphone and gave a call, but Zhang Ye's cellphone was switched off.

Jia Yan tried to instigate matters, "He's not picking up?"

Big Sis Zhou stared at him, "His phone is switched off; maybe he's still sleeping."

Wu Datao seethed, "Isn't this not treating work seriously? He decides not to come on a whim? He has become arrogant just with this bit of results? Does he even have the Leader in his eyes?"

With this fault to pick on, a few colleagues who had extremely poor relations with Zhang Ye began to fan the flames. Their tones made it even worse.

Suddenly, Zhang Ye came in from outside. Hearing everyone say his name, he asked strangely, "Director, are you looking for me?" He was still unsure of what had happened.

Zhao Guozhou looked at him, "Why are you so late?"

Zhang Ye was puzzled, "No, I'm not late. I reached here at 7+ in the morning." He shook the bunch of keys in his hand, "I got the keys from the door keeper's room, and was in the recording studio, recording my program. I wanted to record a few more episodes today, so I came in earlier, so as to not need to line up to wait for the recording studio."

What?

You came in at 7?

He had been working and recording all this time?

Tian Bin, Jia Yan and Wu Datao's faces turned ugly.

Big Sis Zhou laughed and mocked at Tian Bin and company. She again stood up for Zhang Ye, "I was wondering why Teacher Little Zhang's cellphone was switched off; so he was recording programs."

Zhao Guozhou glanced at Jia Yan and company from the corner of his eyes before finally patting Zhang Ye on the shoulder in a satisfied manner. He smiled. "Very good. However, you must make sure to rest. Don't work too hard."

"Thank you, Director; I will." Zhang Ye said.

"Go back to your seat. I'll announce the results." Zhao Guozhou said warmly.

Noting that Director Zhao's attitude towards Zhang Ye was changing, Tian Bin’s heart began to quiver. He suddenly felt a sense of danger. "Late-night Ghost Stories" had just been returned to his hands. "Ghost Blows Out the Light" was not done broadcasting, and it would be some time before Tian Bin managed to really take up the job. However, with the way things were going, why did he feel a sense of danger? Could Zhang Ye steal the anchor position of "Late-night Ghost Stories" once again?

Zhao Guozhou began announcing the listenership ratings.

"First place. ‘Talk About the World’, listenership 3.69%

"Second place, ‘Old and Young Story Club’, listenership... 2.98%!"

"Third place, ‘Late-night Ghost Stories’, listenership rating... 1.97%!"

With the top three announced, everyone was already speechless and unsure about what to do. Some people even let out audible heavy breaths!

This was too fierce!

Was this something that no one could stop?

Even "Late-night Ghost Stories" had gone up as well! It had gained third place!

Ever since Zhang Ye had a new segment, the first episode of "The Wizard of Oz" had replaced "Entertainment Daily"'s second placing. "Late-night Ghost Stories", which was always third in place then got pushed back to become fourth. However, now, with Wu Datao and his partners frequently having errors in his program, "Entertainment Daily"'s listenership ratings have begun to drop off. Even "Late-night Ghost Stories" had surpassed this news-related segment, and had even reached a shocking 1.97% listenership rating. Ignoring their Literature Channel, even in the Central Broadcasting Radio Station, or even in all the radio station channels in the country, there were no late-night segments with such a f***ing ridiculous listenership rating! This...This was about to break 2%?

Even prime-time segments were not so fierce!

Only those colleagues who had been steadfastly listening to "Late-night Ghost Stories" were not surprised. This was because they knew that "Ghost Blows Out the Light" had ended a particular arc a few days ago and had begun to lay a foundation for a new story. During these few days, it was in a thrilling climax and was especially interesting or even very scary. This naturally pulled up the listenership ratings, resulting in another small outbreak. So it was no wonder that it could exceed "Entertainment Daily".

Actually, what shocked everyone the most was the listenership ratings for "Old and Young Story Club"!

The first episode was 2.49%

The second episode was 2.45%

The third episode was 2.51%

There was supposed to be the fourth episode being broadcast the day before yesterday, but it was cancelled due to the Mid-Autumn Poetry Meet, so there was no listenership rating for that day. The real fourth episode had been shifted to yesterday, which was also the listenership rating that was announced today!

2.98%!

This growth was too defiant of the Heavens!

This was almost like making rockets! It was flying up in such a short period of time!

How can that be? Their channel had never had such a jump between listenership ratings before! They acknowledged that Zhang Ye's new story, "The Wizard of Oz", was indeed very fascinating; however, even the best segment and story needed a gradual process of improvement. It could not have such a jump without any signs, right? Eh, that's not right! Who said that there were no signs? Many people realized after giving it some thought! It was the Mid-Autumn Poetry Meet! It was winning first place with "Shuidiao Getou" that allowed Zhang Ye's fame to greatly increase! The live broadcast of the Mid-Autumn Poetry Meet happened to be the time slot for Zhang Ye's program. And from various factors like this were "Old and Young Story Club" and even "Late-night Ghost Stories" brought to such an amazing height!

It was going to break three soon?

In the history of the Literature Channel, only three programs had broken the 3% rating barrier. One of them was "Criticizing Books", and another was "Daily Jokes". These two segments had a historical reason for breaking 3%. Back then, television was still not universal, and radio broadcasting was the main avenue. Later on, with television and the internet becoming prevalent, "Criticizing Books" was axed six to seven years ago, due to poor ratings. "Daily Jokes" had now changed into a witty skit segment. It could be said to have ceased to exist. Today, the only program in history that still managed to break 3% in the Literature Channel was Wang Xiaomei's "Talk About the World"!

But now, another one was about to appear!

What sort of glory was this? It was about to enter the Beijing Radio Station's annals soon!

And it was highly possible for "Late-night Ghost Stories" to break a record, too! No, actually it should be said that ever since "Late-night Ghost Stories" was in Zhang Ye's hands, it was making new records every day. It had created a history and miracle for late-night midnight segments! And this miracle was about to usher in a new peak!

As the youth flew off with his little sister, Sirzechs could only sigh at the situation. Not only did the Pheonix family lose the marriage agreement, they also lost one of their children. Though he also had to commend the brains of the youth, Alex, as he turned the situation against Rasier by pointing out that he ordered both Alex and Rias to be killed. As Raiser essentially tried to murder the heiress of the Gremory family, they won't be able to cause as much noise. 

He then looked over at the family in question, and noticed that while most were fuming with rage, there was one, the daughter that looked to where Alex and Rias disappeared with sparkling eyes. He recalled her name was Ravel, and a thought occurred that this might be easier to settle than he expected. He then asked his wife and queen, Grayfia, to follow the two in secret. 

Ravel, the girl in question was watching Alex fly away with Rias and she recalled all the stories she used to love. The ones where a hero would save a princess, though he announced that he wasn't a hero, that was all Ravel could see him as. She then wondered if she'll see him again in the future. 

Finally the two in question, were flying away from the party with smiles on their faces. Alex decided that before sealing the deal, he would need to come clean with rias. He then formed a magic circle and pulled a decorated wooded box out from it. After opening it, Rias saw the fifteen evil pieces sitting inside. With even more questions in her mind, she tried to ask Alex, but he beat her to the punch. 

"I want to tell you all of my secrets, but I can't due to reasons. If you accept my bishop piece though, then I'll be able to share them with you." One of the restrictions on the players of the game was that they couldn't freely share their circumstances, but the way around this was if the person in question was contracted in a way to allow traveling with the player. If Rias accepted his bishop piece, then he would be able to share his story and take her with him when he left the dxd world. But he couldn't explain that until she accepted it. 

As she looked at the bishop though, Rias could help the hesitation in her heart. Accepting this would mean possibly giving up all her dreams, and ambitions. However she recalled that an hour ago she wasn't able to follow them anyways, even if she accepted it then there was still a chance of her being able to. She also thought of everything Alex just did for her, not accepting was like saying she didn't trust him. She then accepted the evil piece without a second thought. Alex smiled and explained, 

"You don't have to worry, it won't effect following your dreams. That piece will only help you in the long run actually." After that Alex explained everything about himself to her, including the reason he waited so long to do so. Rias was in shock about Alex's history, the other worlds, and the fact that she would now be able to follow him to these other worlds. Taking her lifespan into consideration, she would have more than enough time to follow Alex and fulfill her dreams. In fact going with Alex would help her fulfill them as she would get to learn from these other worlds as well.

She also felt warm in her heart when Alex told her that part of the reason he came to this world to begin with was to meet her. He coolly avoided mentioning that in another world thousands of people had seen her naked on tv though. As they had continued flying all this time, Alex now felt that they were far enough away from the party, and couldn't feel anyone following them. He found a small lake within a forested area, and landed.

They hadn't even landed yet, when Alex had her out of the Pheonix dress, and he burnt it to ashes. Standing in the middle of the forest in nothing but her underwear, he noticed that these matched the dress, and they swiftly joined it to becoming ashes, leaving Rias standing naked. He admired her naked form as he swiftly joined her. When he removed his underwear, her eye's went wide at his size. He could understand her surprise, as it was different than his size of earth. He had a theory that it was an affect of the Saiyan bloodline, as it would also explain why chi chi and bulma stayed with Goku and Vegeta. 

Rias then practically tackled him, as they started kissing in the buff. He enjoyed the feeling of her skin on his, as he brought her down to the ground on top of her. After kissing for several minutes, he then started making his way down her body, kissing all the way. He stopped at each of her nipples, leaving each one slick with his saliva. He then continued further down, until he reached her hidden valley. Finding the start of a spring, he attacked her with his tongue until it became a river of moisture. 

"Please.." She begged him. He moved back up to seal her mouth with his, as he prodded her with his tip. Alex then slowly entered her, stopping at a barrier, before it then broke with an almost audible pop. Rias gasped at the sudden intrusion, and he slowly went further until he could no more. Due to the slight tears in her eyes, he waited until she gave him the OK, before he started moving his hips back, then went forward with more speed. 

"AHHHH" she gasped at the motion, then he repeated the action. With each time faster than the last, Rias's voice got louder with each thrust, until she was moaning without restraint. As Alex picked up speed the sound of flesh smacking became audible, and Rias wrapped her legs around him. 

He thrusted for almost twenty minutes, until he couldn't hold it anymore, and he spilled his seed inside of her while Rias gave her loudest moan yet. He then rolled over so that she was on top of him as the two cuddled on the grass. Alex wasn't concerned about getting her pregnant, due to the fact that Devils had a very low reproduction rate. Even if they were together every night it could take years, or even decades before having a child. 

They both then fell asleep in each other's arms, exhausted both physically and mentally from the day's events.
