A New Dawn

After a series of traumatizing events, Blake and his friends managed to save Zootopia from being overtaken by the vengeful forces from the Odynhood Empire. The animal kingdom has suffered a lot of damage and many innocent mammals have lost their lives in consequence of the execution of Operation Thunderbolt

- Onyx Technologies -

Professor Gyzmoo is left alone in the HQ of the complex. The ZDF have fully secured the building and destroyed every single Onyx clone. Gyzmoo is recording a voice message for the future.

Professor Gyzmoo: Today marks the day when I helped some courageous mammals prevent Zootopia from being destroyed and taken over by hostile forces from the far east. I, Gyzmoo, was allied with the Odynhood Empire for nearly a decade until a righteous individual made me realize that each step that I made during my research here at Onyx Technologies brought Zootopia closer to desolation. Killing the animal kingdom was never my ambition. The Onyx clones, the weaponry, the tech...all of that will be concealed by the government of Zootopia and moved to an undisclosed place, preferably a military base where it will stay hidden from the enemy. As for my career full of scientific endeavors, I will be very cautious with choosing just the right group of animals to present my research to. I cannot make the same mistake I made again. The ZDF have descended upon Onyx Technologies and now the whole complex is under heavy lockdown. I am hoping to find a new place where I can continue with my research to create a better future for everyone. Evolution is inevitable. Gyzmoo out.

Gyzmoo finished his recording and left the HQ after shutting down the lights and the security systems.

- The ZPD -

Chief Bogo and his officers are returning to their station from Onyx Technologies. They arrive at the parking lot of the station. The building looks to be slightly damaged from The Doominator.

Chief Bogo: Thanks for giving me a ride, Nick.

Nick: No problem and about your car, I am sure it will be located soon.

Chief Bogo: I am never letting a criminal off the hook ever again.

Judy: Do you really think it was Thunder who stole your car?

Chief Bogo: Yes I do. Even if he did that fortuitously, that just gives me yet another reason to hate him ferociously!

The police officers leave their cars and follow Chief Bogo, Nick and Judy towards the ZPD entrance. The three talk to each other as they walk....

Nick: Let's just think positively. This operation they call Thunderbolt seems to be over. It's good to be alive knowing that the situation is not smouldering.

Chief Bogo: You two fought well today. I shall consider promoting you two....unless you drive me up the wall....

Nick: Don't worry chief, we're very serious about our job, we don't joke around here and we definitely don't spy on you from behind a corner when you discreetly watch Gazelle's dancing videos on PawTube.

Chief Bogo: Wilde, I am going to enjoy relegating you to the position of a parking enforcement officer!

Nick: Please tell me you're joking for the first time in your life right now...

Judy: Issuing tickets was a blast Nick. Trust me.....you'll LOVE IT!

Chief Bogo: I got more urgent matters to attend to than thinking about what to do with your career, Wilde.

Before Bogo and his officers enter the building, a huge dropship accompanied by smaller ZDF dropships arrive to the parking lot with armed vehicles on the ground.

Judy: Here come the true protectors of Zootopia!

Chief Bogo: It's about time!

Nick: I feel so safe now guys!

The dropship lands and its hydraulic cargo door opens and a sinister figure walks out of the transport dropship with two soldiers at his sides.

The sinister figure appears to be the leader of the ZDF. It's General Hayden Fluxx. He is a sergal. Many people believe that he is the last one of his species.

The two soldiers next to him are two coyotes. They are the Rylergate siblings who are both well trained expert combatants. They all walk down the ramp of the dropship and approach the ZPD officers.

Ash: Sir, the perimeter is clear.

Ashley: I don't see any of those buffoons anywhere for the time being...

General Fluxx: Wonderful. Our city is free from terror once more. Chief Bogo....it's good to be reunited after such a tragic event.

Chief Bogo and the rest of his squad salutes to the general....

Chief Bogo: General Fluxx, thanks to your armed forces, our people can live in peace again!

General Fluxx: Do not celebrate your victory too early. We must be prepared for their retaliation. My men from every district of the city report that the situation is under control and there are no terrorists left.

Ash: The Odynhood Empire is behind this attack isn't it? Those callous people want this city back so badly.

General Fluxx: No matter what we do to them, our relationships, beliefs, demands and goals will never be reconciled. The war is never truly over, it has just begun and we must be ready for another attack.

Ashley: I wish we could predict the future. I would love to see myself in ten years or more.

Ash: Dead?

Ashley: Seeing you imprisoned in a dungeon on a remote island would be so satisfying....

Ash: That's so sweet my dear sister. Just let your imagination flow okay? I still love you.

Ashley just sighs with frustration and turns away from her brother....

Chief Bogo: General, do you have any information about the mayor?

General Fluxx: The mayor is gone. He didn't survive the attack.

Judy: Oh no...who's gonna be our new mayor now?

Nick: Oh not again....I hate elections....

General Fluxx: They are not happening. I am the mayor's rightful successor!

Chief Bogo: With all due respect General, but you have no statutory authority to claim the mayor's post without being elected by the citizens of Zootopia.

General Fluxx: Zootopia needs someone who isn't apathetic and who knows how to defend the city and their inhabitants. It is me who will keep all the hostile forces away from this kingdom, not some random mammal who cannot take precautionary actions in case the Odynhood Empire strikes back. With my rise to power over the city, Zootopia's defenses will be enriched like never before. Now, return to your station and help your fellow officers who need assistance. It's a direct order!

Judy: Yes....sir....

Nick: That's where we were headed before you showed up sir.

The ZPD officers leave the parking lot and enter the station except for Bogo who has one more question that he wants to ask his superior.....

Chief Bogo: Sir, now that you are in our city, can you do us all a little favor?

General Fluxx: What is it?

Chief Bogo: There's a homicidal criminal on the loose who should be restrained and held in confinement for a lifetime. His name is Thunder, Blake Thunder. Do you think you can take care of him?

General Fluxx: Thunder.....he was once a member of the ZDF. I remember him being our recruit in our training camp. That fox had peerless shooting and fighting skills. So, you are saying that one of my favorite recruits became sinful by committing a series of murder?

Chief Bogo: That's what he became, a bloodthirsty criminal. We lost enough citizens today already and I don't want that fool to take any more innocent lives. I don't know what to do with him anymore. I've encountered him at Onyx Technologies but I was foolish enough to let him go because I needed to focus on saving the city first. Now I don't really know where he is and that's why I need your assistance general to finally get rid of the name Thunder.

General Fluxx: Leave that to me. We'll take care of him. You have failed to do your duty chief and now you are imploring me to do the job for you. This happened for the last time. Me and my elite units will take matters into our own hands. Thunder will be taken into custody real soon. You may go now chief.

Chief Bogo salutes the General again and goes after his officers.

General Fluxx: Ash, Ashley, after me.

The general returns back into his dropship with his elite soldiers....

Ashley: So, General. What's our next objective?

General Fluxx: Find and capture Blake Thunder. I need him ALIVE!

Ash: Seems like an undemanding task for me. We'll bring you that fox in two shakes General!

General Fluxx: Undemanding you say? You must reckon with a tough challenge when you are gonna take on him. Remember your training, only then you shall surmount this difficulty that is Blake Thunder.

Ashley: Don't worry general, me and my brother will greatly outmaneuver him and capture him for you.

General Fluxx: Excellent! Good luck, you'll need it!

Ash: Let's go Ashley, time to bring that fox to justice!

They both grab their gear and proceed deeper into the city in search of Blake. Now you may wonder, where's our favorite duo all this time? Let's find out!

Regina led Blake into Zootopia's biggest park to date. Strangely enough, the park and the vegetation in it remained unspoiled. There are no other mammals around here, it's only Blake and Regina, walking on a trail together....

Blake: Wow! Regina, you took me to a place with sublime beauty....I've never been here before.

Regina: I think this is a well-deserved moment of serenity we finally got after that distressing operation. It's good to see everyone grouping up on the streets happily, celebrating the downfall of the Onyx forces. If it wasn't for us, this city would've fallen into evil hands.

Blake: I am glad we could save this city together. Now we are unsung heroes, right?

Regina: That's....correct. But I am not looking for having a prestige. It was never about that.

Blake: It was always about winning this conflict and bringing peace to this kingdom where we can live in harmony.

Regina: I couldn't agree more.

Blake: Regina.....

Regina: Yes?

Blake stops and looks on the horizon, where the sun is slowly rising.....

Blake: Do feelings lie?

Regina: Now that's a very intriguing question...

Blake: I just....want to make sure I am not being deluded by my emotions or....feelings...

Regina: What kind of feelings?

Blake: Feelings of love.....

Regina: They're.....all genuine if that's what you wanted to hear.....and if you follow and listen to your heart, you'll never be misled because that's where those feelings of love originate from.

Blake turns to Regina and they both stare deeply into each other's eyes....

Blake: Wanna tell me why are you so different from others?

Regina: I promised to tell you this once we reached a place like this....

Blake: So....what is it? You are well aware of my past and what I've done, how come you don't hate me for all my bad deeds?

Regina: It is impossible to hate someone's guts when they grow on you so much after a series of brutal and horrific events that leave an indelible experience behind. It's not just about that, but the thing is, I've had this delightful feeling in my heart ever since we met. Something tells me that I've found the love of my life....

She is slowly starting to blush with happiness as she finally opens up to Blake...

Regina: You've walked into my life and guided me out of the darkness where I eventually found my happiness I desperately needed. But....if I am wrong about the feelings being genuine, then I am ready for the rejection....

Blake: In all honesty, I got the same exact feelings and I've also been following my heart. My new life begins with you Regina, I didn't tell you that you mean the world to me for nothing. I meant it. After that tragic accident 10 years ago, I thought I would never say this to anyone anymore but...I.....

He grabs her paws gently.....

Blake: I love you.....

Regina's heart melts upon hearing those special words and they both deeply kiss each other as the sun slowly rises over the horizon.
