chapter nine: Hiding something

After waiting  for my Aunt, I got tired and went  upstairs as I went up I  remembered how she started acting weird and  Iwas  still  confused and couldn't understand why she was acting  likethat, when we left the dealership in a hurry and she didn't give a glance or even bothered telling me the reason.

I went upstairs to her room to see if I could find anything but the thing was her room was bigger than mine, the walls were painted in blue and white, she had a walk in closet which she had so many different designer clothes, shoes and even bags she is  a true fashionista.

I couldn't help but to admire the way she designed her room, when I opened the closet, I looked at all her accessories I even tried to wear her jewelry. I saw one that had an animal's shape, it was silver and looked shiny when it glitters.

I looked at it closer and it was a silver wolf pendant,I liked it so I took a photo of it while I wore it.

I then looked around for more when suddenly I stepped on something  and I looked down, I realized I had broken something, it was the necklace I had worn I panicked and tried to put it together.

Luckily, it didn't broke it just got twisted, so I immediately put it together and put it back to its box that I had found on her dress mirror.

I quickly left the room and went to mine, I changed my clothes and wore my silk shirt and shorts then went to the bathroom to take a shower, it took me like an hour then I brushed my teeth and went back to my room.

I combed my hair and pulled into a space bun, I sat near my window where a had a small bed which I could lie on when I wanted to have a nap, so I took a novel which I always read before going to sleep.

Usually i love reading romantic stories but also supernatural one, especially one with vampires and werewolves like twilight. I love reading it and also imagine myself in the characters.

As I enjoyed reading, suddenly my eyes caught something shining in the woods, at first I ignored it thinking maybe it was a firefly as I normally see at night but then it turned out to be pair of  red eyes.

I took a binocular and used it to see if I was imagining it , I got scared that I dropped it on the floor, I decided to find out for myself even though I was still scared for myself.

I ran out of  my room with a torch and I walked outside of the house, I was so scared that my heart was shaking and so as my body.  When I got closer, I saw the same eyes  it was red and glowing in the  dark.

I screamed so loud that I dropped the touch and I stumble as I walked backwards. The eyes turned out to be a huge werewolfwith a with fur. I was so scared that I couldn't move a muscle.

Then out of nowhere someone jumped between us and he had his head covered with a black hoodie, I couldn't tell who it was.

Soon enough he started fighting with the werewolf , suddenly I found myself being thrown away and hit my arm and got scratched,I fell on the ground,  I got up and they were still fighting and they disappeared, I took the chance to run back to the house.

I locked the door in a trembling hands, I ran around the house looking for my phone and soon saw it on the counter near the sink.

I dialled my aunt's number  and she answered, I didn't know how I got the strength to talk but I talked so fast that she kept telling me to calm down and explain myself.

I was crying and sweating while I told her what was happening at our backyard and she told me to lock the doors and to wait for her.

I did what she said and soon I heard her car stopping at the entrance so I immediately opened the door and ran to her.

She hugged me and told me not to worry about it. We got in and she took me to the sofa.

As we sat down together, she inspected my body and looked at me everywhere to see if I got injured, I didn't even realise that my left arm was bleeding. She left and came back with a kit and she cleaned my arm.

"Aunt veronica, if you don't mind me asking are you by any chance hiding something from me?"

"What are you talking about lisa, I don't think so why do you ask?"

"Its just that you acted so weird when you came out of the office and you were trembling?"

"I just wanna know if there's something you are hiding maybe its time to tell me"

"I will make sure that I tell you if there is anything "

I just nodded still not convinced that she isn't hiding anything especially with the necklace that resembled the same face I saw today.

I only thought of one way and that was to do it myself, if she didn't tell me the truth then why not find out for myself.

The next day as always, I got ready for school. When I got to school, there were students standing in groups and chatting.

I walked to my locker and put my books when suddenly there was silent and there walked three girls wearing same clothes yet short and they were walking towards boys who were standing three lockers away from mine.

I looked closer and it turned out to be the guy I bumped into at the airport and of course he denied it.

One of the girls who had a black raven hair walked to him and called him mike ,she put her hand on his chest and asked him why he bailed on her.

He looked nervous which I doubt he was because he wasn't  when he acted cold towards me that time I tried to confront him.

He chuckled and told her that he will make it up to her, she smiled and kissed him on the lips of which he replied to.

She then smiled and walked away with her friends. I don't what got into me but I felt heavy in my heart.

"What in the world was going on with me?" I asked myself as I tried to breathe.

Suddenly I felt like I couldn't breathe, my eye became blurry and my body started shaking. The next thing i heard someone running towards me as I had lost balance and fell.

Luckily I felt two strong arms carrying me, I looked up and saw mike, he was asking me if I was alright but I couldn't answer then I closed my eyes...
