-Trial Pt. II-

"For the 4th riddle: What is seen in the middle of March and April that can't be seen at the beginning or end of either month? You have 1 minute to answer and 2 chances to make mistake"

Both of them answered: "R"

"Sekai"

Kenji said: "Too obvious"

"En", Kazu agreed.

"For the fifth riddle: You see a boat filled with people. It has not sunk, but when you look again you don't see a single person on the boat. Why? You have 1 minute to answer and 2 chances to make mistake"

But this time Kazu answered: "They are not sailing. Easy"

"Engk"

"Kazu!"

"You also did a mistake!", he rebut

"Whatever"

"30 seconds left"

Kenji thought: But Kazu's answer is probable, how is it, ahhh I know the word single!

"Married", Kenji answered

"Sekai, for the 6th riddle: What word in the English language does the following: the first two letters signify a male, the first three letters signify a female, the first four letters signify a great, while the entire world signifies a great woman. What is the word? You have 1 minute to answer and 1 chance to make mistake"

This riddle became somewhat annoyed Kazu, but nonetheless he answered.

"Annoying, answer is Herione"

"Sekai"

"I'm not annoying", Kenji replied

But Kazu ignored him.

"For the 7th riddle: What English word has three consecutive double letters? You have 1 minute to answer and 1 chance to make mistake"

Kazu sneered before answering: Bookkeeper

"Sekai"

Kenji commented: 'nerd'

"Plebian, hmmph", Kazu replied

"For the 8th riddle: What disappears as soon as you say its name? You have 1 minute to answer and 1 chance to make mistake"

Both of them answered: Silence

"Sekai, for the ninth riddle: How can the number four be half of five? You have 1 minute to answer and 1 chance to make mistake"

Both of them started to ponder, while Kazu thinks how 4 will be halve, while Kenji thought of roman numeral.

"Yo Kazu, what do you think of the answer?"

"I dunno yet"

"Hehe", Kenji chuckled.

Then he answered : "IV, the Roman numeral for four, which is "half" (two letters) of the word five."

"Sekai, now for the last riddle in this stage: This belongs to you, but everyone else uses it. You have 1 minute to answer and 1 chance to make mistake".

"This is the last riddle we should think it twice before answering", Kenji said

"I kow that of course"

"So what do you think belongs to us but everyone uses it? A soul?", Kenji jested.

"A life also"

"So what should we answer?"

"Jack and point"

"Seriously?"

"En, luck matters as well"

"Fine"

-Jack and Point, Kenji used Scissors, while Kazu used paper-

"I won, so the answer is Soul"

"Engk, you have used use your chances for this stage, if you fail to answer then it's game over"

"Now what Kenji?"

"It was a fair trade, don't blame me"

"You have 20 seconds"

Both of them felt anxious as time went on, Kenji now thinks to possible scenarios if they fail.

"It's do or die huh" Kazu muttered, then answered

"Wait-"

"What?"

"Are you confident?"

"I am and will always be confident, but now's do or die"

"What?, but before he can persuade Kazu-

"10 seconds remaining"

"Sh*", Kenji swear.

"Our name", Kazu answered.

"*drum rolls* SEKAI!!! Congrats to both of you young one's. You have passed the first stage. Please standby for 10 minutes before the second stage begins."

"Kazuuuu!!!", shouted excitedly by Kenji

"I told you I'm always confident", Kazu thought but this time it was just a pure luck, he was even shocked it was right.

Still he continued to ask, "we've got 10 minutes of free time, would you mind telling me what you know Kenji?"

"Eh? Hmmm," He hesitated a bit but he owes Kazu this time so he agreed.

"Short one or long one?", Kenji asked

"Just a quick summary", Kazu replied.

"So I came from the planet Deva, and there was revolt attack from revolutionary army in my planet, and they went to involve civilians in their war with government which killed me. Since I was dismayed, I made a deal out of a demon before I passed away, but the deal happen after I became in my soul form which the shape we are now in, and there one of the ruler of the underworld Batara Kala offered me to pass this trial for the deal to commence."

"Ohh," Kazu replied with interest since he didn't know that other beings existed in other planes.

"So what's the deal with you and Kala?"

"A trade secret, but you believe me right away?"

"Of course, and it's quite amusing to know of other's existence, in my world we also have things you might even surprise", Kazu added

"Heh, but still I also don't know much, the only things he told me is about passing this trial, someone who I'll meet, and the trade after I pass this."

"Alright, it seems you don't smell like those goons back in my homeland"
