-The trial-

[Amamiya's Soul POV]

How much time have pass since that incident? He become worried because he was now in a different strange looking plane.

When he arrive here, he also saw a white milky ball in front of him, that seem to be swirling or something. I look around me just to see a bunch of old primitive torches stuck above the walls, and big circular space in the center.

Left with no choice, he took this chance to ask for that ball. It might reply he thought.

"Oi", he said in a demanding tone.

"Hmm?"

"Where is this place?"

"I don't know", replied by the ball.

"Then why am I here?"

"I also don't know"

"Are you playing with me?"

"Do I look like someone who wants to play with you, and stop with that demanding tone rascal, cause this ain't your place"

"You-, as he was to rebut Kenji interrupted him.

"But someone might know"

"Then will you tell where I can find that person?"

"I also don't know"

"You white ball, you really are playing with me!"

"Hey! Aren't you just like me? A white ball!" Kenji emphasized

Now that he think about it, it seems like he's been moving in a strange way like the other. This made him sour completely.

"Then what the hell did you know? At least some helpful one will do!", he said in irritation.

"You arrogant brat!"

But as they were about to continue, the circular shape at the center began to glow. The other half glow dark, while the other half glowed white like a yin-yang activation.

"Perhaps the trial will start now", said Kenji

This did not take long for the Amamiya heir to figure things out, it might be his soul was summoned here to pass a trial, or he was summoned here out of pure coincidence.

Still he wants to the believe the former than the latter. And after some time, the glowing ended and some characters or texts appeared in front of them.

They both look at it and read it: "Young souls from a far, you are now in this trial for one purpose. Pass this trial with both of your intellect and skills. The trial consists of 3 stages. The first stage is 10 riddle quest, the second stage is battle quest, and the last stage is random. Once you pass the second stage it will automatically choose any random stage you will enter. Good luck to all of you."

The first one to react was Kenji, then followed by the other.

"I'm glad we don't need to fight each other", he fekt relieved.

"That's too early, there is still the random last stage who knows what will happen."

"True, anyways my name's Kenji, Akihiko Kenji, yours?"

"Amamiya, Amamiya Kazuhiko"

"Now Kazu, it seems we need our best to pass this trial."

"Agreed"

A/N: Kazuhiko means the harmonious prince who is also prosperous. While Amamiya means rain-palace.

"Trial starts in 3...2...1.."

/Welcome to Stage 1: Riddle Quest/

"For the first riddle: I speak without a mouth and hear without ears. I have no body, but I come alive with wind. What am I? You have 1 minute to answer and 3 chances to make mistake"

But without even a second both of them answered:

"Echo"

"Sekai, next riddle: You measure my life in hours and I serve you by expiring. I'm quick when I'm thin and slow when I'm fat. The wind is my enemy. You have 1 minute to answer and 3 chances to make mistake"

Kenji first answered: "Match stick"

"Engk wrong, 2 more chances"

"Oi, don't just guess", Kazu commented.

"I'm not"

But Kazu answered: "Candle"

"Sekai, next riddle: I have cities, but no houses. I have mountains, but no trees. I have water, but no fish. What am I? You have 1 minute to answer and 2 chances to make mistake"

"Tch." Kenji somewhat become annoyed, he knows he it is his fault without considering. But his pride won't allow him to apologize.

"Now what do you think?", asked Kazu

"Hmm, I guess we need to think about something inanimate. This riddle is confusing after all"

"35 seconds left"

"A map", Kenji answered.

"Sekai"

"How did you know?" asked Kazu

"Just think about it later"

"For the fourth riddle....
