335—Visiting Her Godson

"Oh Chuan." Maybe the fight just went out of her, or because she was feeling sleepy, Pei Yueran wasn't angry and even felt oddly touched.

"Just stop being childish, okay? I love you and you alone. Trust me."

"Oh I trust you, with all my heart." 'I just don't trust that jerk,' Li Chuanmo thought inwardly, placing a kiss on her lips.

Pei Yueran fell asleep soon after, but it took Li Chuanmo a while longer. As he went about making the both of them comfortable, he thought things through and made plans.

His wife was right. People were a product of their choices and decisions. He had to do things in a way that he would no longer regret.

By the time he finally lay down and hugged his wife close, the only emotion he could feel was calm.

"Kathy, can you take him please?" Su Qianhua whispered to the older woman as she gestured to the baby who was sleeping in her arms.

It had taken her approximately an hour to put David to sleep, and now that he was finally sleeping soundly, she wanted to lay him down in his crib.

It was just that her waist was cramping badly from sitting in one spot for too long.

Kathy quickly responded and ever so gently carried her grandson, tiptoeing towards the nursery. It was not until they laid him down and closed the door gently without him waking up that they let out a sigh of relief.

David was a very sensitive baby, waking up to the slightest sound. Jiang Philip had to get the nursery soundproofed so that nothing would disturb him.

It also didn't help that he was most comfortable in the arms of his parents, so he usually cried within a few minutes when someone else carried him, stressing Su Qianhua.

She had endured having their parents around, interrupting their romantic moments, just so that they could assist her when her baby came, but now, he didn't want them to hold him?

She really wanted to ask her son, "Did I offend you while you were in my tummy?"

But one look at his angelic little face, and she could not find it in her to be angry.

When he was born, his face was too red and wrinkly for her to be sure of who he looked like, but after a few days, it was evident that he looked like his father, with minimal contributions from her.

Staring at a miniature version of her handsome husband, her mood would always improve considerably.

Speaking of him, Jiang Philip came in. Although it was the weekend, he was called into the office for a meeting, so he had to go out. The first thing he did was to kiss his wife. It was something he could never get tired of doing.

Kathy just gave them a glance before looking away. If the way they loved being glued to each other was any indication, she would have another grandchild on the way anytime from now.

After a long lingering kiss, they pulled apart. "How are you Baby?" Jiang Philip asked.

"Now that you're back, fantastic." Su Qianhua said with a smile. Love was sweet ah.

"David?"

"Sleeping finally," Su Qianhua said with a fake shudder.

"I know you must be tired by now, sorry Baby. Should I massage your shoulders?"

"Yes please, and my waist too," Su Qianhua said, grabbing his hand and using it to rub a particularly sore spot. Jiang Philip conscientiously began rubbing, trying to make her feel better.

It was all innocent first, but as the rubbing continued, the intent also changed. Before they could get carried away on the sofa, Kathy coughed.

"I'm still here, just so both of you know."

Both of them straightened. Jiang Philip murmured into her ears, "Should we go to our room?"

"You bet." Su Qianhua answered. She needed his special "massage" services.

"We'll be back Mum, we need to do something quickly."

Kathy rolled her eyes, "Take your time. But if my grandson wakes up, make sure both of you stop whatever urgent business you're doing and come back here."

If it wasn't that her precious grandson was too sensitive to his parents, humph! She would have taken him along to Country F, instead of having to watch his parents here.

Mother Su had to leave a few days ago to attend to one of Su Qianhua's sisters who had an emergency surgery carried out, that was why Kathy was here alone. Father Su had returned home, and Jiang Aotian had something else to attend to.

Both of them nodded and went quickly to their room.

As soon as the door to their room closed, they continued from where they stopped. Judging by their feverish actions, one would think that they had been apart for months instead of hours.

Their alone time was interrupted by the ringing of Su Qianhua's phone. They both ignored it the first time. When it rang again, Jiang Philip reluctantly broke the harried kiss, "Shouldn't you pick it?"

Su Qianhua wasn't interested in it at all, "Later," She said, putting her hand around his neck. Jiang Philip was instantly persuaded and he threw the matter to the back of his mind. Therefore, by the time the phone rang the third time, Su Qianhua threw a blanket over to muffle the sound and they carried right on.

Outside, Pei Yueran frowned. She had informed Su Qianhua that her flight would be landing in the afternoon and that they would be at their place shortly after. She had said that she would be at home all day. So why was she not picking her calls?

Li Chuanmo spoke, "Let's ring the doorbell," to which Pei Yueran agreed.

It was Kathy that opened the door. She happily greeted both of them, talking excitedly about how long it had been since she last saw Li Chuanmo in person and how grown he looked now.

Li Chuanmo didn't quite respond to her enthusiasm, but his face looked softer. He patiently answered her questions before dropping the gifts they brought on the table.

Pei Yueran couldn't wait to see her godson. She eagerly asked, "Auntie Kathy, where's David?"

"He's in the nursery, this way. We just put him to sleep some minutes ago. Be careful not to wake him up though, he's a really light sleeper."

Nodding, Pei Yueran followed Kathy as she walked towards the room. When she saw the little boy lying on his back with his eyes closed, her heart melted. "He's so adorable," she whispered.

"That he is." Kathy agreed, all smiles.
