########################

We landed in Bucharest incognito with a retired Black Widow looking as if she was on a kill mission.

"Do you have her location, Vision?" She asked as we made our way into the less populated part of the city.

"The moment we entered Romania's aerospace."

It's not as if they are overly cautious of cameras and electronic devices. That and Romania's covert military and special forces are not on the same level as that of the new and improved Red Room.

I looked at Natasha and shook my head in sympathy at the emotional waves I was getting from her. But despite her emotions being in a constant state of flux, she easily kept it from flying off a certain limit, a testament to her high mental fortitude.

"You've been silent throughout the flight. Wanna get it off your chest?" I offered, knowing fully well she didn't need it and her next words told me so in clear context.

"Are you trying to give me a therapy session?" She asked with a chuckle. "Worried about my mental state and the mission at hand?" She added.

I laughingly brushed the serious edge off her question and replied. "Far from it, believe me. I know you're not feeling 'compromised'." I acted as if I didn't catch her eyes narrowing.

"Just wanted to hear your story."

She scoffed in faux annoyance. "I thought you allegedly 'know more about us than we do ourselves'."

Well ouch.

"Ouch. Received loud and clear."

We continued in silence before Natasha broke the silence as she saw the direction we were walking in.

"Her target is a foreign ambassador?" She asked as we walked inside the Saudi Arabia embassy building.

"That I don't know."

She looked around the place and glanced at me before muttering, "Neat trick."

"Thanks. It's my version of a classic 'Notice-me-not'. I'd recommend it as a must-have for any world-class aspiring assassin."

We exchanged light banter as we made our way unimpeded up the floors, drawing closer to the room the cameras last picked up Yelena entering.

Why again did I offer myself assistance in tagging along? Well I don't want Natasha or Yelena to blow up the flying fortress that was the Red Room.

It would make a better base than staying grounded on the Compound every time, given that I quickly finish the teleportation station I'm building.

"You want to go in first or should I?" I asked her as we stood before the door of the room Yelena was staying in, currently going through some files.

Natasha gave me a half-amused glare at hearing my words. "You seem to be having more fun than warranted."

"Well, I'm about to witness the special ops version of a sisterly catfight so you can't really blame me." I said with a shrug.

"Fair."

I silently unlocked the door before she got a chance to while mouthing a 'thank you' her way, taking care not to trigger any of the intruder-alarms her sister had in place.

[Natasha Romanova POV]

Keeping her breath steady and silent, Natasha entered the room where she could already hear the faint sound of someone tapping away at something.

She had no delusions of how this was about to play out so she steeled her heart further and approached while cursing Vision.

She heard the tapping stop, already knowing she had somehow alerted her sister, she barrel-rolled on the ground, avoiding the gun that should've been directed at her head, while pulling hers out and mirroring her assailant's action.

She couldn't even bring herself to be surprised upon seeing the face of the girl she had once called her sister, only this time she was doing it from behind a gun.

'I guess the feeling is mutual since we're both doing it. I bet that bastard will probably say something like us 'being true sisters' or something.'

"I'm guessing you won't drop the gun if I ask nicely, will you?"

Before Yelena could pull the trigger as a memento for their 'tear-jerking reunion', Natasha closed the gap between them and used the butt of her gun to hit Yelena's fingers coiled around her gun, making her lose it but that meant nothing to the official Black Widow as she grabbed Natasha's extended and twisted it, forcing her to drop her gun too.

The two wasted no second exchanging glances as they shifted their gears into combat mode, their decade-plus experience being brutally exposed as they struck at each other without holding the slightest punch back.

Grabbing the hands trying to reach for her shirt, emphasis on trying, Natasha gave sharp jabs to the elbow and shoulder joints in fast succession, weakening the arm of the amount of force it could generate for a while.

Yelena dragged her hand back and tried freeing it from Natasha's grasp by using her other hand only to be jerked badly as Natasha's legs kicked her unprotected abdomen.

For Natasha however, she didn't show any emotions on her face when blocking Yelena's punch or tanking the clean hits the other party got as her mind trained in on quickly finishing the fight.

Months of fighting against Vision who had perfectly copied her entire body structure, entire fighting style and experience, and who had also taken it upon himself to increase it by a few notches was something that could only force the deadly assassin to take her combat mastery to the next level.

Yelena wasn't a mutant with unnatural abilities, so she had little to look out for.

Quickly dodging to both sides to avoid Yelena's blade, she baited her into an opening and when she took it, all she needed to do was dodge before stepping into Yelena's space and used something Vision taught her in correlation to her knowledge of the human muscle and nervous system.

With her middle finger slightly extended from the rest of her balled fist, she used the middle joint of her middle finger to jab at specific points of Yelena's body.

Arm joints, under arm, shoulder, shoulder blades, spine and her abdominal sides.

Yelena fell like a stack of cards as Natasha contracted and loosened some of her muscles in what Vision had so aptly called 'chi blocking'.

"Three minutes, forty one seconds." She didn't react to the out-of-nowhere commentary and just proceeded to knock her sister out.

She looked at the beeping device strapped to Yelena's wrist and frowned. "I think they've made out that she's been targeted. Quite fast, don't you think?"

Vision let out a 'hmm' as the device flew into his hands, causing him to break out into a smile a few seconds later.

"So what are we going to do about her brainwashing?" Though she tried to play it calm, she couldn't help but worry. Her experiences with mind control were not the best and sometimes she wonders just how she became cool with being around Vision and Wanda, knowing fully well their expertise with said ability. The former being who he was while the latter was the very same person who put her through a severe case of mind rape.

"Leave that part to me. It's one of the reasons I came along after all." She rolled her eyes at his nonchalant comment, not that she could argue with it.

"Well, let's get out of here before someone reports the noise from our fight." She said and walked out of the room the same way they came with Vision carrying Yelena over his shoulders.

"So what next?" She asked after they got back to the Quinjet.

As far as she was concerned, this mission was far from over. The task given to her when she joined SHIELD was to kill Dreykov, destroying the Red Room organization altogether.

Now not only was Dreykov still alive, but so was the Red Room up and running, with apparent upgrades to their mental and technological programs.

She got dried red on her ledger, and god knows she'll thoroughly wipe it out this time.

"Depends on which one you prefer doing first; giving your sister a mental mani-pedi or blowing up Dreykov's ass to high heavens."

Oh he definitely was having fun with this.

She looked at Yelena and then made the obvious choice. "Help her out first. I want to hear her personal account."

She looked at her watch as Vision did his thing and couldn't help but let out an irritated groan. 'It's not even afternoon yet and it's already proven to be a long day.'

"Science sure has come quite the long way in less than a century." She heard Vision say, more to himself than anyone else.

"Based on what I'm seeing, this is deeper than any mental conditioning you went through, or even what HYDRA did to the Winter Soldier. Props to Dreykov, I guess."

She had thought it'd take some time given his words but it only took him a few seconds before he said he was done.

The both of them stood in silence as they watched the still unconscious Yelena.

"… Soooo, you're gonna wake her up, or should I?"

"One more sassy word from you and it's a bullet from me."
