[Vision POV]

2 months later…

Not much happened during the past months and I for one am thankful for it. It gave me enough time to think and get a lot of things in perspective in a much more normal pace like every other regular person.

One of the few decisions I made was getting a house for myself in a quaint little neighborhood where nothing ever happens.

It was a surprising realization when it finally came to me that I was the only one who used the Overwatch as my home. Even Wanda and Pietro had a house, albeit one they rarely ever used.

Like Wanda had been trying to get me to do for over half a year now, getting a house outside the Overwatch was a first step of sorts in me trying to get a life outside of being a superhero.

To be Mr. Alexander 'DaVision' Simon's instead of being Vision all the time – her words.

Even though I can continually recycle the feeling of boredom into data binaries and delete them, I eventually had to admit that doing the same thing in my every waking moment made it stale.

Maybe this is why Batman could never give up on his Bruce Wayne persona, no matter how much he acted as if he hated it.

Self-induced Stockholm Syndrome? Might be, no one could ever tell.

At the very least, living as a human did bring some new variations to my life. Even when I still spend most of my time up on the Overwatch.

It's been two months since the little upheaval I pulled on the American government and while they were still dealing with a few international issues, everything was back to normal and was slowly getting better.

Even with the sensitive information released to the world about them, there was very little other people could do to them since it's an open secret that almost, if not all, first world countries had a lot of shady dealings.

The saying that no one gets to the top without dirtying their hands is a very apt and true saying when spoken about an individual. Then how true would it be when it's about a country that stands above many others?

So yeah, the more time went on, the less anyone could do about it but that didn't matter to me as I already accomplished what I wanted done before they got the breathing room they were fighting for.

No major change of any kind has been implemented yet but that was okay for now as everyone is now knowledgeable about the ins and outs of certain things.

The mutants for example were being led from three different fronts in a closely knit alliance that quickly became the source of most of the headaches those at the top were plagued with.

It was their own lack of foresight that they let bias stop them from seeing the vast potential mutants brought along with them in every walk of life.

The alliance of Charles, Erik and Raven created a sort of super community of mutants that no one doubted could easily top any country's military.

Charles, as always, focused on mentoring the younger generation of mutants. Giving them the knowledge and teaching them in controlling their abilities as they stepped into the world.

Erik's Brotherhood was a terrifying force of strong mutants with a very wide range of diverse abilities and with the master of magnetism at the very top, yeah no one wanted to mess with that if they had a choice.

Raven on the other hand was more covert and with how she could easily infiltrate almost any place, the mutants under her, while also strong, filtered themselves into positions of power. From the lower strata of a teacher up to the smaller offices of government.

And with the three of them wholly focused on bettering the lives of mutants everywhere, the results, although miniscule now, will be very prominent in the near future.

It also gives me a modicum of relief that my hand in it and the growing trust both Raven and Erik had in me made it easier for me to pull certain strings and have considerate control of the outcomes that came with it.

As for the Avengers, most of the invitations I sent out for sponsorship came back positive. As no one wore the insignia 'A' on their superhero suits, no one could actually tell how many heroes are currently affiliated with the Avengers.

Even I was surprised by the number of heroes in this country alone. I believe not even 80% of them made an appearance in the entirety of the Marvel Comics.

It honestly resembled a comic-con with how each state seemed to have their own considerable number of heroes and vigilantes.

Since I personally reviewed the ones I sent the invitations to, and have ULTRON keeping an eye on them most of the time, I was able to choose the most morally upright of the endless bunch of them.

From weak neighborhood peacekeepers to strong city heroes with very impressive abilities.

With what I've accomplished so far in the short time I've been here, I can confidently say that I've made considerable strides in changing the earth to the vision I dream for it.

First the city, then the country. From the country, I will then spread out to other countries and continents, and finally the entire world.

I can get power. I don't desire riches or for my name to be known in every corner of the earth.

I just want the people of this world to advance. —

"End log: #1046."

°°°°°°°

I engaged in an internal conversation with myself as I welded another part of the bridge to where it had broken off from.

"Just what is it with villains and their penchant for destroying public properties when they know that they'll end up being chased by the heroes until they eventually land behind bars?"

It's a very serious question but even with all my processing power, I still can't give a viable answer.

If they truly want to spread chaos however they please then why don't they just do a battle royale between heroes and villains and if they succeed then they can spread as much chaos as they want without fear of being stopped.

And if they lose? Then that shows that they shouldn't have done it in the first place.

"You might want to hurry up, Vis. Cracks are appearing on the other side of the bridge." Pietro said before disappearing in a silver streak, moving everyone on the bridge to a safer area.

Why am I here in the first place?

The entire cause for this whole disaster started due to a fight against a mutant villain that Charles' group were trying to apprehend.

I had already calculated that they would eventually win but the caveat would be extra casualties so I sent Pietro and Davis to take care of the situation on both fronts.

… And the result was a bridge collapsing with over 300 people on it.

Obviously I had to step in at that point due to my particular set of skills, and here we are.

Holding the entire bridge up by controlling the metals running through it, I started welding all the suspenders that had broken up while having the others continuing what they were doing.

"… Thanks for the save there, man." Logan, or I guess the Wolverine based on his suit, awkwardly scratched his head as he thanked me.

"Could have been worse, but thankfully it wasn't." I said.

"Could have gotten worse than that?" He joked.

I nodded to his surprise. "I calculated 11 scenarios that would have been a lot worse than the bridge collapsing and killing 300 people."

They all winced but it was something they had to know. I can't lecture them since it really was an unforeseen possibility, a variation that even escaped my initial calculation, so I just left it at that.

"Still, thank you for helping us out, Alexander." I shook hands with Ororo and Logan before turning to the little cat in their midst.

"Haven't seen you in a while, not missing me?" I asked Laura who embarrassingly scratched the back of her head.

She had been spending a lot of time with Logan recently and I think the grumpy hedgehog and Sarah are in a relationship.

It seems they are trying to give it a try for Laura's sake, so good for them, I guess.

"Wait, why didn't you take Domino with you?" I asked as I remembered the literal lady luck.

They looked stunned and based on the way their eyes moved around, I can tell that none of them thought along those lines.

Seriously? They had the lucky goose that consistently lays the golden egg and they don't bring her out on a mission that could very well be catastrophic and fatal?

I seriously don't get these people sometimes.

"You know what, you do you." I said and turned to Laura. "Want to hang out with me? I've been feeling pretty bored lately?"

"Wanda?" She tilted her head.

"I think she's up in some mountain hunting dark sorcerers with some of her magic peers."

"Hmm." She shrugged and under the shocked gazes of the rest of the X-Men, I beamed us up to the Overwatch to binge watch a new series I came across after running a quantum code and triangulating it with specific genres of choice.

"Chocolate?"

"Ice-cream it is then."
