Chapter 18: "That" thing

AN: I safely arrived in Manila! Its been awhile!

A few days later....

"A letter from the landlady?" Alex raised an eyebrow while looking at the piece of paper on his hand.

Most residents already went out to do their own thing, go to work or go to school, so only a few of them were here. Sagiri and Hibari also returned yesterday and just left for school.

The only one left in the Inn are Alex, Alice, Lilynette, Nonko, Hisui, and Hanzo.

Alex was just chilling on the dining room just eating a popsicle when this letter just suddenly appeared out of nowhere.

Alice is with Lilynette, playing in his sub-space. Nonko was still asleep, and Hanzo and Hisui....no need to mention those guys.

Starrk, and Harribel and her Fraccion all went to their respective jobs, along with the other "adults" while the "kids" went to school.

"Hmm, let me see." Alex opened the letter and began to read it, "Due to refurbishment work to be done on the Inn, all residents will be compensated during the period of temporary eviction?"

Alex sat up and furrowed his brows, "Well, given the age of this place, just releasing a little bit of Spirit Power or Magic will cause this place to collapse. Though where are we supposed to live during that time?"

Alex took out his phone and called Emi, it took a few seconds before she finally answered.

"*Alex?*"

"Are you free? If not, I'll just call later." He smiled, he can hear a couple of voices on the other side, whispering and giggling. He even heard some of them teasing Emi and Emi clearly telling them to shut up.

"*I'm on break, I'm currently eating lunch with my friends. Why? Did something happeb?*"

He sighed and scratched the back of his head, "Yeah, the landlady decided to refurbish the Inn and we'll have to vacate this place for awhile. Just curious if where are we going to live? I mean, we could stay in the sub-space if you want but—"

"*No need, let's just find some other place. I could ask the landlady of my previous apartment before I move in with you, if she still has some room available.*"

"Sure, and—hm?" Alex paused when a creepy looking package suddenly appeared in front of him. There's also a letter too, saying that only open it when everyone's together with landlady's signature....which is a kiss mark.

"Ah, never mind. The landlady sent me a package, saying that only open it when everyone's around. Maybe she already chose a place for us?"

"*I see, then its no problem. But just in case I'll call my previous landlady. Anyway, I'll hung up now Alex, my break's almost over. See you later.*"

"Sure, see you later Emi." Alex pocketed his phone and lifted the package and observe it.

He gave it a suspicious look, "Somehow, this package is making me afraid. I feel like something bad will happen if I somehow opened it."

Judecca suddenly materialized herself behind him and observed the package before looking at Alex, "Master, Judecca is hundred percent sure that this is "that" thing from your memories."

Alex shot her a confused look, before his eyes widened in shock and slight fear, "...You can't mean..."that" right? I swear if its "that" I will erase this thing from existence."

Judecca nodded, "I believe so my master. Though if master use Spirit Magic then perhaps master will be able to resist it."

"Grr—!" Alex growled as he looked at the package, contemplating whether to just let it be or end its existence.

Suddenly, his eyes widened as an devilish smirk appeared on his face. "Kukuku~! I wonder what's the reaction of the guys if they saw this? Kukuku~"

He turned towards Judecca, "Hey Jude, go and bring Hanzo here. If he doesn't comply, you have my permission to use any means necessary."

Judecca nodded before she walked out of the room. Using Magic Sense, she located where Lucifer is currently. Her brow rose when Lucifer actually turned to meet her "eyes" for a moment before continuing his game.

She slowly walked towards Lucifer's and Hisui's room, on the way there, she encountered a groggily walking Nonko, with messy hair, wearing only a black bra and black panties.

Nonko lazily turned to look at Judecca and smiled, "Oh~ Jude-chan, g'mornin~!"

Judecca just nodded and walked passes her. Nonko pouted but didn't say anything about Judecca's attitude, she has some encounters with Judecca during her stay in the demon world, and Nonko knew that this girl only cared about Alex and Alex alone.

Though, Nonko likes to think that they are friends, since they did drink together a few times before.

"Hey~ Jude-chan, is Alex in the dining room~?"

Jude paused and nodded her head, "Yes, Master is in the dining room."

Nonko smirked, before shooting Judecca a look, "Ah, Jude-chan, what did Alex ordered you to do? I'm quite curious?"

"Hm, get Lucifer."

"Why?" Nonko raised a confused brow. There is literally nothing to do that needed Lucifer's help. That guy only knows how to fight and be a NEET.

Judecca furrowed her brows, she can't say that her master wanted to prank Lucifer, so what should she say?

"Hmm, Maybe...Maybe because we have to vacate the Inn? Judecca heard that the landlady wanted to refurbish the place."

Nonko's eyes snap wide open as she screamed, "WHAAAAAATTTTT?!"

Without hesitation, she rushed towards the Dining room to ask Alex for more details.

Judecca watched her leave before she continue walking towards Lucifer's room. It did not took him a lot of time to arrive.

She stood in front of the door before opening it. Her eyes wandered around the room, the darkness of the place didn't seem to even bother her.

Her gaze stopped at the back of Lucifer holding some sort of console connected to a fifty inches flat screen TV. Hisui was currently curled up and asleep with her head on his lap.

"What is it?" Lucifer asked, not even bothering to turn around.

"Master called for you."

"No—"

"He told Judecca to use any means necessary to bring you to him."

"....Fine." He sighed and paused the game, before slowly moving Hisui's head from his lap and put it on a pillow before he stood up.

"Let's go."

Judecca nodded and walked away, Lucifer followed behind her. He didn't bother asking Judecca why Alex called for him because he knew she won't answer.

After walking for awhile, they finally arrived at the dining room, where Lucifer saw Alex just lying down, resting his head on his arms, while Nonko was crying with her head on the table.

Alex turned his head and smiled, "Ah, Hanzo, just the man I wanted to see."

Lucifer immediately stared at Alex in vigilance. That tone, and those words, he just knew that Alex is planning something that would surely risk his life.

Alex noticed this and just waved his hand, "No need to be cautious, I just called you because the landlady has a message for you."

"Message?" Lucifer still stared at him warily, though he was curious on why the landlady sent him a message.

Did he...did he forgot to pay the rent? Is he being kicked out?!

"Yeah, just sit down here." Alex sat up and patted the space beside him before summoning a TV and a VCR.

As Lucifer sat down beside him, Alex took out a video tape and handed it to him—this tape was what inside the package gifted by the landlady. Lucifer just raised an eyebrow, wandering why Alex has this old relics.

"Just play it." Alex yawned before he stood up and walked out of the room.

Lucifer just look at him suspiciously before staring at the video tape on his hands. In the end, he gave up and just played the video.

Alex smirked, pointing his finger at Lucifer and whispered, "I command thee, under the name of Demon King Satan—, Sit Back, Relax, and Enjoy the Show."

Lucifer suddenly found himself relaxing and just stared at the TV. "What the fuck?!"

He tried to stand up, but his body won't even listen to him. He tried to turn his head to glare at Alex, but even his eyes won't move away from the TV, much less his head.

"DUDE! WHAT THE FUCK?!"

Nonko was startled by his shout and stopped crying. The reason why she's crying is because she doesn't have a place to stay so she came to ask Alex for help, but it seems like he'll be staying with Emi.

She glared at Lucifer, "Shut up! You lazy good-for-nothing-NEET! You have people to leech off! You don't know the pain of being homeless!"

Lucifer gritted his teeth and was about to retort when the video began to play and his mouth shut on its own.

Nonko just snorted and left the room, she'll probably just sleep in her beach house, though it might be a bit lonely since she's all alone.

What? She's a famous mangaka, she's quite rich you know!

Lucifer was left alone in the dining, watching the horror recording that seem to suck his soul.
