125 Chapter 19: A Job?

Later that day...

"What happened to him?" Emi asked as she looked at the Lucifer who was laying on the floor, staring at the empty space with blank look.

Yaya was poking him with a stick she took out of nowhere.

"Dunno, though he looked like he had just seen something terrifying." Genshiro said as he also began poking the Fallen with a stick.

"Pfft!" Alex almost couldn't hold his laughter while looking at his pitiful general.

"Papa~" Alice tugged her papa's clothes, gaining his attention, "Papa, don't pick on Looshifer okeh? Don laugh."

Alex smiled and patted her head, "Alice, listen. If something is funny, you need to laugh, and its funny when bad things happen to people, so you need to lau—ow?!"

Emi smacked the back of his head and glare at him, "What are you teaching her?! Gosh, you're so....Argh!"

"Hehe~" Alice laughed as Alex stared at his daughter in horror.

"A-Alice, d-don't laugh at papa's misfortune okay?"

Alice tilted her head, looking at her papa with a confused look, "B-But...B-But, But Papa said that—"

"No! No! No!" Alex interrupted her, "Listen Alice—Alright who's laughing!?"

He glared at everyone in the room, his crimson eyes glowing in anger. The Yuragi Tenants shut their mouths and looked around innocently.

He furrowed his brows before smiling and looking at his daughter, "Alright Alice, its time I tell you the universal truth. Bad things, aren't funny, when they happen to papa."

Alice tilted her head, "What about mama?"

The Demon King just shrugs and gave a smirk, "Oh, you're mama's fair game, go for the thr—"

He didn't get to finish his word as he paused and caught a fist directed at his face. He smirked at Emi glaring at him.

"Come on, don't hit me again and again, I can only get so hard."

"Cough!"

"Pfft!"

"The hell man?!"

Emi's face turned as red as her at that innuendo, as she pulled her arm and snorted before turning her head away.

Alex smirked, ignoring the reaction of everyone in the room.

"Cough! Anyway," Chitose coughed to gain their attention, her face as red as Emi's hair, while holding the video tape that the landlady had sent them, the one that caused Lucifer to pass out, "as you guys know, the Inn will be refurbished and we will have to temporarily vacate the place."

"Hmm, I think I'll stay with Urara during that time." Sagiri said, with furrowed brows. Her cheeks are still red from what Alex said earlier.

"Hibari will be staying at Urara-san too." Hibari said, though she really wanted to stay in the Ryuuga clan with Genshiro.

"I'll be staying on my beach house. Its been awhile since I've been there." Nonko said, smiling as she began to think of her time in the her beach house.

"Well, we can stay in Las Noches back in Hell?" Harribel said, despite being gloomy and desolate, Las Noches is still quite big and they have their own room.

The other former Arrancars also nodded.

"I already asked my friend if I can crash in to his place and he agreed." said Albert.

"I'll be staying on the Café, its not the first time I've slept there anyway." Said Ashiya. There are times where he couldn't come back to the Inn and stayed in the café, his own office was even turn into a mini-apartment with bedroom, kitchen, and living room.

"I-I think I'll also s-stay with Ashiya." Rika said with a flushed face. Its not really the first that she stayed there, but still its rather embarrassing.

"Well, I'll go back to my clan." Said Genshiro as he stopped poking Lucifer.

"Yaya will be sleeping in the shrine with the Cat Gods." Said Yaya as she lazily poked Lucifer's cheeks.

"I'll stay with onee-sama." Said Koyuzu as she held the hem of Chitose's shirt.

"I-I'll be s-staying over at Chisaki-san's place." Said Yuuna.

"As do I." Said Suzuno, she has befriended Chisaki during her occasional visit her and they got along really well.

Hisui was looking around frantically, searching for someone who'll take them in. But whenever she met the eyes of someone, they'll turn their gaze away.

Left with no choice, she turned towards her friend, Emi, with a begging look. But Emi just gave a wry smile as she pointed at Alex who was sitting beside her and Alice who was sitting on his lap.

She despaired. Do they have to stay on the streets? Is this why Lucifer looks like his soul got suck out of him? Because they'll be living on the streets?!

Chitose shot Hisui a pitying look before saying, "F-For those who doesn't have place to stay, we should probably watch this video sent by the landlady, maybe she can help you."

Lucifer reacted as he twitched, startling Yaya a little bit. He turned his gaze to Alex, who just look away as if he found something interesting.

"A-Anyway, let's watch this." Chitose smiled and turned the TV on before inserting the video tape into the VCR.

"Don't do it dude!" Lucifer shouted as everyone looked at him, "Don't watch it! Its a curse! You'll lose your soul! Its a curse object I tell ya!"

"Please," Emi rolled her eyes, "It can't be that bad? I mean, its from the landlady, she will never do something like send us a video tape that will suck our soul if we watch it."

"You have been warned!" Lucifer exclaimed.

Alex quickly closed his eyes and used magic to temporarily cut off his hearing. Whatever happens, its not his business anymore.

Lucifer also closed his eyes shut and used magic to cover his ears. He already warned them! Whatever happens is their fault! They can only blame themselves for not listening to him!

The screen of the TV showed a desert with pyramids. The video showed the pyramids for a few moments before turning towards the landlady.

"*Ah-hem! Well, its been quite awhile, Yuragi tenants. Today I, Miki Shiba, am coming to you from the Three Great Pyramids of Giza. First of all, I humbly apologize for the abrupt refurbishment and I know that some of you might have no place to stay in.*"

Hisui seem to try and hide herself from the blank stare directed at her. Its not her fault okay?! It seems like they have to increase their "connections" so that something like this won't happen again.

"Well, its pretty normal so far, I wonder why Hanzo keep saying that its a curse?" Emi raised an eyebrow as she looked at Lucifer who just has his eyes close.

"*Also, for those who don't have a place to stay, I have a little request for you. I actually have a niece you see, and she runs this little seaside snack bar and sundry shop. If you like, I was wondering if you can help her out a bit. She will give you a place to stay and pay you too.*"

Hisui blushed as she covered her face as everyone once again turned to look at her with blank look.

She know how to work okay?! Just because she was now a first-class NEET doesn't mean she's useless! In fact, she's even better than before!

"I still don't get why Hanzo-dono says that this is curse," said Suzuno as she sip some green tea, "From what I can see, the landlady has been kind and even offer them place to stay and a job."

"That's probably the curse." Said Genshiro, chuckling a little. The others also smiled at that.

"*Anyway, If you're interested just dial this number—*"

"A beach huh?" Emi nudged Alex as he groaned and opened his eyes and canceled his magic, "Hurry up and call! Its a beach! A beach! We'll stay there for now!"

She was quite excited, after all it was always her dream to go to one. She has never been to the beach after all so she's quite excited. Also, its a chance for Alex to finally leave the Inn and work for once!

"Hurry!"

Seeing Emi's enthusiasm, Alex can only sigh and took out his phone, he then looked at everyone and asked, "Before I call, can I know who's going? Aside from Hanzo and Hisui of course, because whether they like it or not, they need to go."

Emi is going too, that's for sure.

"Beach huh." Harribel muttered before raised her hand, "I'll come. I quite enjoy being there."

"If Lady Harribel is coming, then we'll go to." Said Apacci, as Mila Rose and Sung-sun nodded.

"I think I'll go too~!" Nonko smiled as she raised her hand.

Ashiya gave Alex an apologetic look, "I apologize my liege, I won't be able to accompany you."

Alex shook his head before he smiled, "Its fine, no need to worry. So? Is there someone who wanted to come too?"

"M-Me!" Sagiri raised her hand, as Alex shot her a confused look. She fake-coughed before continuing, "Y-You see, Urara's apartment is quite small, and with Hibari staying there, its already quite cramp. So it might be better if I go with you."

"B-But H-Hibari—" Hibari wanted to stay with Genshiro, but when she saw the look on Sagiri's face she just gave up and shut her mouth.

"What about your school?" Chitose asked.

Sagiri blinks, she haven't really thought of that. There's teleportation, but if she did go to school then she won't be able to work, and she'll be ashamed to stay there for free without even working or helping them.

"...If you really want, then I can make a copy of you. Is that fine?" Alex asked. He somewhat knew the reason why Sagiri insisted on going with them, but he didn't say anything.

"T-Then, thanks." Sagiri smiled. Even though she's diligent when it comes to studying and school, she wasn't really planning to go to college or anything.

She was mostly homeschooled and smart enough to skip highschool and go to college, but she wasn't really interested in all that.

After she graduates from Highschool, she'll be a fulltime Chuuma Ninja who will travel around the world, gain experience, and then inherit the Chuuma Ninja Association.

School isn't really all that important to her aside from meeting with friends.

"...Anyone else?" Alex asked, and seeing that they all shook their head he didn't say anything more and dialed the number given by the landlady.

It took a few seconds before someone picked it up.

"*Hello?*"

"Ah, Hello, sorry if I disturb you, but Shiba-san told us about the possible work and lodging at your place?"

"*Shiba-san....? AAAAAHHH!*"

Alex winced as he moved the phone further from his ears, that shout hurt his ear a bit, it was quite sensitive after all.

"*You, are you guys the tenants of Aunt Miki's Inn?*"

"Yeah, we are."

"*I see, then, you comin' or not?*"

Alex looked at Emi, who was smiling and sighed, "Yeah, though I haven't really heard anything about the job aside from its at your place in Chiba."

"*Ah? Well, yeah I guess you wouldn't. Aunt Miki's never too fussy about details like that. Well, we're pretty much at the edge of Choushi town, y'know where Kimigahama beach is?*"

Alex remained silent with an awkward expression. He really doesn't know where it is.

"*Yeah, I guess you wouldn't. Just picture this far eastern side of Chiba, I guess that's close enough. Oh, and spoilers, I can't really pay you a fortune either. I guess a thousand yen an hour per person, how 'bout it?"

Hisui's eyes glowed hearing that. A thousand yen per hour! Two thousand yen if she count Lucifer too!

"Per person huh? How many are you asking?"

"*Oh? So you got some gang you want to bring huh? Well sure! Bring 'em along, we never got too much help here, trust me on that.*"

"I see. Well, aside from me, there'd be...." Alex began to count before answering, "Eight and a half..."

"*Half? A kid huh? Well sure, bring 'em along. Anyway, let me tell you where to go, see, its just a liiittle bit removed from downtown Tokyo y'know? Take the Sobu line to the end in Chiba, then transfer to the JR Sobu Mainline to that end station, which is Choushi. Then get on the Choushi Electric Highway to Inobuh away from the end. That's gotta be around three hour trip, but hey, it'll be like vacation right?*"

Alex looked at Hisui who wrote those instructions, even though she probably already memorized it.

"*I can pick you up from Inuboh station, so give me a ring once you arrive 'kay?*"

"Sure thing." Alex nodded, "And uh, before you hung up, could you like, tell me your name?"

"*Ah, right! Geez, what am I doing, not even introducing myself. Well, my name is Amane Ohguro, Miki Shiba's niece, and I run this little place called Ohguro-ya.*"

"Amane, got it."

"*Oh my, already in the first name basis? We haven't even met yet!*"

He rolled his eyes, but didn't say anything, "Anyway, is there something else you wanted us to know?"

"*Well, here's a warning for ya. We're gonna get pretty busy...so don't go expecting to flirt with girls in bikinis all day, all right?*"

"Huh?"

"*Don't "huh" me, that kinda thing's important if you're a guy right?*"

Alex scratched his cheek and looked at Emi, who was also staring at him. "Well, yeah, but we're there to work and all that you know?"

"*Hm? Oohh I get it, you already got someone important in your life huh? Out to make a little cash for her maybe?*"

"....Kind of."

"*Hahaha! Well, when will you guys arrive?*"

"Well, we gotta prepare for some things, so tomorrow I think? We'll leave as soon as we can."

"*Oh, that's quite fast. Well, better get you guys a room pretty quick huh? Well, then see you guys soon.*"

Alex hung up and pocketed his phone before nodding, "Well, prepare your things, we'll leave tomorrow."

They all stood up, though Chitose noticed that the video seem to not ended yet. "Oh guys, there's more."

Alex immediately closed his eyes and covered his ears.

The TV showed the landlady doing a pose in a belly dancer outfit, as the boys froze at that sight.

"*By the way...did you know that they offer a belly dancing classes here in Egypt? There's a desert tribe that devotes itself to music and dance, they said I was a first-rate student!*"

"What a nice outfit." Nonko commented, as the girls nodded, while the boys just stared at it in shock.

Sagiri remained silent, her Level two Spirit Armor kind of resembled that as well, and its rather embarrassing.

"*I'll be in a dance competition here in few days. Care for a sneak peak? Here we go!*"

As she said those words, the landlady immediately began to dance. Twisting, turning, emphasizing her "curvaceous" body as she sent them a wink.

"....." The boys.

"Amazing. I didn't know the landlady could dance so well!" The girls.
