"Thank you for the points Mr. Robot. I'm sure your back story is one filled with a myriad of twist and turns that eventually led you to desperation. Only to one day succumb to the temptation of doing the only thing you were ever good at. Violence."
I narrate in a somber tone while offering a prayer to the Robot gods in tribute for the 3-pointer that just brought my score to a whopping 96 points.
After leaving Koji, I had dove back headfirst into the mayhem that was the practical exam. I didn't pay much mind to the other contestants, only helping out when one got careless, and bit off more than they could chew or save them from the consequences of using their quirk recklessly.
All and all, I was happy with my performance so far, and although I was only 4 points away from reaching a score of 100, there were only 2 minutes left in the exam, so I started making my way back to the entrance.
'If I happen to bump into a three pointer and a one pointer or two, two pointers then great! If not then no skin off my back.' I thought to myself while leisurely walking back, scoping out how my peers where fairing along the way.
*CRRRRRRRAAAAAAAHHHHSHSHHSHS*
I only made it a couple of blocks before the whole world shook. The strange part about it was that there was no build up. It was as if someone pressed a button and released a titan.
"What the hell is that!"
"Run!"
"Get out the way!"
"Move!"
Pandemonium erupted at the site of the behemoth that could probably give Mechazilla a run for his money in size alone. Long gone was the bravado that many of the hopeful heroes were showing when all they had to contend with was robots with lousy aim.
Now, it was every man for themselves.
So why was my blood singing? I should have been running with everyone else. It was one thing to be brave but another thing entirely to be stupid. Facing a robot that towered over skyscrapers without any back up whatsoever definitely sounded like the opposite of what one of my mother's always says to do.
But fuck it.
"Hahahaha, now this is more like it." I cackled out, getting weird looks from the other applicants who were running for their lives.
*RRRRRRROOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAARRRRRRR*
From the depths of my soul, I let out the loudest battle cry I had ever done to date. Adrenaline coursed through my body and before even I could truly grasp what I was doing, I was running.
Not away from the titan but towards it.
I didn't care for the rockets coming my way or the destruction the robot had already proved it was capable of when it knocked down a building just by placing its weight on it. No, the only thoughts going through my mind, were testing my mettle against a worthy opponent.
As I got closer to the Goliath to my David, out of the corner of my eye I saw two of the smaller robots coming my way, acting as mob characters wanting to draw my attention so the final boss could deliver its finishing move.
I didn't hesitate on collision with them, instead I sunk my claws into their bodies, doing a spin move mid sprint and launching them at the behemoth one after the other.
My hopes where that the attack aimed at its head would block its vision, so when my aim proved true and the two robots crashed against its face, I jumped on the fist that was swinging my way and ran up its arm.
My claws dragging against its metal appendage, cutting everything in their path, my efforts resulting in its arm sparking with mini explosions the closer I got to its head.
By this point primal instinct had taken over. I was a predator taking its prey. My excitement taking hold and my movements becoming more fluid and beast like.
When the massive robot finally noticed I was climbing up its body, it was already too late. Letting out another massive roar I launched myself at its neck, sinking my extended claws into it before hoisting up with all my strength.
At first nothing happened but that didn't last very long. The metal in my grip groaned from exertion and with a mighty heave I tore the entire head off the body of the 0-pointer, a pseudo spine coming out with it.
*BOOOOM* *CRUUUUUNCH* *BOOOOOM*
The damage was too much for the massive robot and like a chain reaction the whole thing began to explode. I wasn't in any danger though. My tough hide could withstand the punishment, but the freefall did manage to jog me out of my heightened fight or flight state.
Wanting to add insult to injury, I took the head that was still in my hands and launched it at the body of the robot, causing it to breakdown even faster once it impacted.
Mid fall I couldn't help the shit eating grin on my face as I saw some of the medic robots hovering nearby. 'I wonder if they'll give me a copy of the fight if I ask?' I wondered as I fell on top of the remains of the giant I just decapitated.
Grinning even wider, I decided to showboat a little bit, already imagining how epic the play back will be.
*ROOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRR*

"Holy… did that kid just rip the 0-pointer's head off with his bare hands?" A muscular looking man with silver hair and an underbite, watched on in awe as he tried to digest what he just saw.
"What kind of monsters do we have this year? One kid punched it into oblivion and the another treated it like it was made from paper mâché." Power loader complained, already getting a headache with the destruction the two teens are sure to cause to his creations. "Nezu, we might need a bigger budget."
"Hahahahaha, they sure do look promising don't they!" The white furry animal excitedly yelled.
"Troublesome is more like it." The grumpy man who had done nothing but complain followed up, squinting his eyes at the two different states both the two stars of today's show, ended up in. One with what appeared to be broken limbs and the other who moments ago looked to be in a feral state, now the epitome of poise and control.
"Young Midoriya, you did well, but now your real test begins. Will you be able to keep up with those who currently stand beside you, or will you let your late start hold you back?" A tall muscular man with blonde hair muttered to himself so quietly only he knew what he was saying.

"I'm Home!" I called out, stepping foot into the penthouse apartment, mom and I were currently staying at while we were in Japan.
After my badass performance, an Old Lady had started fawning over me and trying to make sure I wasn't hurt like some kid she was muttering about. Apparently, the kid had broken almost every one of his limbs, after facing off against his own 0-pointer.
I don't know if he had won but the fight sure sounded epic if he got that hurt.
A lot of the contestants started trying to kiss my ass after that, a byproduct of this hero society we lived in, so I didn't get a chance to talk to Koji and ask how the rest of his test had gone.
I wanted to at least make one friend who could show me around Japan but unfortunately it didn't go as planned.
"In the kitchen sweetheart!" The melodic voice of my mother answered back over the smooth jazz she had been listening to while cooking. My nose already twitching from the smell of my favorite dish being made. "How did the exam go?"
"It was good. Written test was easy, Interview felt more like a psych eval but nothing intense, and for the practical we had to fight a bunch of robots that would then give us points." I explain to my mom while taking off my Retro Forrest Gump Nike Cortez's.
"Sounds about like what we were expecting. The robot's give you any trouble?" She asks, stepping out of the kitchen and into the living room, where I was, giving me a loving smile while her eyes roamed my figure in search of any injuries.
My mother was a very beautiful woman. A fact I begrudgingly had to get use to because of all the teasing my school mates would throw my way whenever she came to pick me up from school. They would only ever get to tease me once though and if they took it too far, my fist would always be more persuasive than my annoyed glares.
Standing at a whopping height of 5' 11", Diana Lionheart looked like she belonged on the runway for Victoria Secrets more than she did as a bad ass Pro Hero. Her wavy blonde hair was currently in a ponytail that made her look even more youthful giving off the vibe of an older sister more than a mom. Piercing blue eyes that always seemed to get the truth out of me, even when I thought my lies were masterfully told.
"Naaahh." I waved away her concern, only to get a perfectly manicured raised eyebrow as a response. "Welll, there was this final boss type robot that was called a 0-pointer. We technically didn't have to fight it… buuuut I was so pumped up when I saw it, that I might of… accidently went a littlllle overboard and decapitated it, then scared the living crap out of the other applicants with one of my roars."
"We talking Ginyu Force level final boss or Golden Frieza?" She asks for clarification, walking up to me and caressing my body just to make sure I wasn't hiding any injuries.
"Mmmm, more like Fluffy, the Cerberus from Harry Potter. Looked scary as hell but didn't take much to take it out." I answer her, hoping my response is enough. "So, what's for Dinner?"
"As long as you weren't too reckless. I don't care how strong you are, you're still my little boy and I worry about you." My mother pouts at my weak attempt of deflection. If she knew that I had charged headfirst against the 0-pointer then she would be fuming. "Anyways, I knew you would be hungry, so I made you're favorite. Huesitos con arroz."
Hearing the confirmation that I wanted regarding dinner. I quickly scooped up my mom in a bone breaking hug before planting a kiss on her cheek. She squeaked and protested the embrace, scrunching her nose up at my sweaty smell, but her loving smile was enough to tell me that she appreciated the affection.
"You're the best! I'll go clean up and be back down in a jiff." I say, putting her down before picking up my shoes and making a hasty exit towards my bedroom.
My number one supporter has always been my mom. Although she had some misgivings with how dangerous Pro Hero work could be, our whole family was in the business, so it was only natural that I gravitate towards it as well.
Her line of work was different than my father's and other mother's though.
She dealt more in the espionage side of things. Whenever there was a job that required finesses instead of brute strength, she was the first person the Texan Government called. Trained in every martial arts known to man and some even not known, she was a force to be reckoned with. Not to mention her quirk, [Canary Cry], which allowed her to manipulate the soundwaves of her voice.
If she had been up against the 0-pointer then all she would had to have done was yell in its direction and blow it up with just her scream.
This might sound very silly but to put it in perspective, she once told me that she tested her power on a space mission. The read out on the measuring tool they used to see how loud she could go, reached 220dB… the explosion of an atomic bomb is calculated to be around 240dB, so yea she was crazy strong.
"Your father called by the way. Wanted me to wish you good luck on the exams but you were already at U.A so I told him not to bother you in case you were already taking one of the tests." Mom tells me as I enter the dining room after having taken a shower.
On the table was a steaming plate of my favorite food. It was a Mexican dish that my grandma had taught my mom how to make when she had gotten married to my dad. It consisted of short ribs that were marinated with a chili based tomato sauce, served with a side of white rice.
The meal was very simple, but in my humble opinion, it was the best thing on planet earth.
"What time is it back in the states right now? Aren't they like a day behind us or something?" I ask, unfolding my cutlery from the napkin they were held in and digging into my food as mom watched on with a satisfied smile.
"There about 14 hours behind us. Dad and Anne probably had a late-night emergency they had to look into. When I talked to them a couple hours ago, they were just now getting home." Mom answers, before eating from her own plate of food.
In this age of quirk, many things had changed. One of those being what a traditional family looked like. Long gone was the expectancy of the nuclear family and instead in its wake many different types of lifestyles popped out.
Some chose a life dedicated to honing their power, where sex and love played no role in their day to day lives. Others reveled in the debauchery that power and fame allowed.
My parents however built a support system that relied on more than just husband and wife. Instead my father had married two women. My mother Diana and the woman who was a mother to me in all but blood, Anabelle Lionheart. Although I didn't refer to her as mom, since that would get confusing and simply called her momma belle, I only loved her slightly less than my actual mom.
"You think Izzy and Rose are driving them up a wall yet? Silly little kitties climbed into my suitcases the day of our flight. Only reason I noticed was little Izzy's giggling." I reminisce, thinking back to my little twin sisters that tried to sneak away in my luggage so they could come to japan with their big brother.
"Hahaha poor little things, they probably miss their favorite cuddle pillow." Mom retorts with a loving smile. "You know, they tried to convince us to let them come study in Japan. They even made an entire power point on how they could act as your little in-home maids, like in one of the animes they watch, so they wouldn't be a burden and promised to get perfect marks in their classes."
"Hahahahaha, sounds like them. You're going to have to send me that power point. It'll serve as perfect black mail when their teens and start going through their angst phase."
The rest of our early dinner followed a similar pattern. Us reminiscing about my childhood and mom telling me stories about her glory days. She wasn't old but the Hero business had changed so much since she first dawned her uniform.
She would only be here long enough for me to hopefully receive my acceptance letter from U.A. The whole family would then come over to help me move into my dorms but that would be a couple of months into the future.
In the meantime, I would be staying in Japan, in an effort to get use to the independence that going off to university would bring and hopefully make some new friends along the way.

Author's Notes
Well, if you're reading this, then that means you liked chapter one enough to give chapter two a chance.
As of right now, I have three end game girls in mind for our main character..... but that doesn't mean he won't have some fun along the way 😼. So hop on into the comment section and give me some saucy scenarios you might want to see later on in the fic.
As for our Nate's Quirk, [King of the Pride], I took inspiration from a Nemean Lion. So at peak power, his skin will be neigh impenetrable, his claws will be as sharp as ademantium, his teeth will be able to spread through almost anything, and he'll have the speed, strength, and senses of an Apex Predator.
Ya Boy,
