Chapter 2: Talulla

In a small rural town lived a 14-year-old girl with long white hair, icy blue eyes, a button nose, she's pale, and baby cheeks her name is Talulla Labove, or Tali for short. Tali lives with her mother Margret, dad Peter, and her older sister Stella to say the least Tali is quite different from her family and everyone loves to throw that into her face, especially her sister. Talulla sticks out like a sore thumb in her family she has white hair, icy blue eyes, and is pale while everyone else has dirty blonde (mom), Brown (Dad), golden blonde hair(sister), fair skin, and brown eyes. Stella is an extroverted, overachiever and cheerleader dating the high school Quarterback. At the same time, Tali is an introverted, shy, and closeted lesbian sister with no friends or close relatives. The only thing she does day in and out is school, homework, sketching, and eating in her room, she enjoys it a lot too coming to her room without having to interact with people who obliviously hate being in her presence.

"Talulla get the door!" her mother yells from downstairs when the doorbell ring, Tali sets her sketchbook down and walks downstairs with her phone in hand. The pre-teen opens the door finding a tall muscular man with white hair like her wearing a baby blue skin-tight half-opened shirt and white jeans and a short skinny woman with long blue hair, baby cheeks, and blue eyes much like her own wearing an aqua blue dress in the middle of November.

"Hello there little one are you Talulla by any chance?" the man asked going down to her eye level, Tali started typing on her phone

~Yes, how may I be of assistance?~ A girl's auto voice spoke from the phone, the man looked at the woman and then back to Tali

"My name is Bhumyra and this is my little sister Aquatia" Bhumyra greeted Tali waved shyly

"Are you a mute darling?" Aquatia asked Talulla started typing on her phone again carefully before entering the word

~No, people have told me that my voice is annoying so I don't speak anymore.~ The auto voice said Aquatia and Bhumyra scowled at this news, this is when Margret came to the door to see what Talulla was doing with a vague expression

"What is taking you so long girl?!" Margret hissed, Tali flinched in surprise before starting to type quickly. Aquatia and Bhumyra glared at the woman for scaring the child, Margret huffed tapping her foot impatiently waiting for an answer

~Their names are Aquatia and Bhumyra they wanted to talk to me, Mother~ the voice answered Margret's head snapped up to the two who scowled heavily at her. Margret pushed her daughter back making the young teen stumble a bit, the middle-aged woman opened the door wider smiling at them

"Do please come in so we discuss my children" Margret said politely Tali looked down and went to go back to her room knowing they'll just forget about her and will discuss Stella. So why stick around just to be ignored yet again, she felt a hand grasp her wrist it was firm but yet gentle at the same time, she looked up seeing Bhumyra standing over her. The god picked her up gently setting Tali on his hip.

"Talulla is mine and Aquatia's descendant, the only one we recognize in this family so there is nothing to discuss," Bhumyra said Talulla shivered as an ice crystal with water wrapping around the crystal symbol that appeared above her head. Margret started fuming at this

"That isn't right that girl is nothing but a freak she doesn't deserve to be recognized. My daughter Stella does though" Margret yelled making Stella and Peter come out to see what was going on, Talulla flinched into Bhumyra. The ice god sighed and set Tali down gently

"Talulla can you go pack your things we'll be leaving very soon" Bhumyra whispered the girl nodded and ran up to her room starting to pack her necessities, clothes, hygiene products, sketchbook, pencils, and of course the stuffed animal she slept with. When she came back downstairs, Stella was soaking wet and shivering wet crying in the corner, and their parents were frozen solid. Tali quickly typed on the phone

~Why'd you hurt them?~ The voice asked Aquatia frowned and petted the child's hair

"They'll be fine after we leave, I promise but we will not stand for them disrespecting you or our decision," Aquatia said picking up the child like she weighed nothing, Bhumyra picked up her bag. Tali nodded, snow surrounded Bhumyra and water swirled around Aquatia and Talulla. The three of them disappeared from the house, and Margret and Peter were unfrozen

"Oh gods Stella" Peter said as he went over to his older daughter to comfort her, Margret seethed on the inside at the fact the gods chose the untalented sister instead of Stella.
