(The funeral for Cale Lestin.)

Chapter nineteen:

The entire 120th Legion was at the funeral of Cale Lestin. They gave a hundred gun salute to honor his courage and bravery on the battlefield. The entire legion of the 120th Legion felt a certain sadness because Cale had always been with them on the battlefield.

Rey Palpatine stood in the background with tears in her eyes. Her own Padawan, and the only one to know her true pain was now dead. Finn walked over to Rey and spoke to her. "I am truly sorry for your lost Rey. We will see to it personally that the Final Order is destroyed." Said Finn.

"Thank you Finn." Replied Rey Palpatine.

After the funeral was all over everyone had left. Rey Palpatine burned Cale's body. "He had wanted to become a Jedi knight and I will give him a Jedi knight burial." Rey said to herself. Rey Palpatine watched Cale's body burn and when the fire finally went out she turned and walked off.

Onboard the Millennium Falcon she thought to herself in the cockpit. "Cale was the only thing that I had left and now he's gone." Rey Palpatine said to herself. What was left of Rey Palpatine was now dead.

It had been almost a year since the death of Cale Lestin. General Poe Dameron had told Rey that a Final Order base was constructed on Deralia. But Rey Palpatine could see that she was not needed here it was General Poe Dameron's way of telling her that she will always be under the Resistance's control and would never be able to get out of it.

The scavenger girl from Jakku started to walk inside a house that once stood tall. Rey went passed a couple of walls and walked through a door when she heard a baby crying. Rey walked over to the cradle and looked at the child. The child reminded her of her apprentice Cale Lestin.

Rey looked up into the stars and remembered the short time she had with Cale Lestin. Rey Palpatine then looked back down and thought to herself. "I wish I could have gotten to see Cale grow up." The only thing that bugged Rey the most was that she was supposed to be the Chosen One Above, so why couldn't she save her apprentice Cale Lestin?

Rey Palpatine then looked down at the baby and saw that it was trying to grab her.

Rey Palpatine smiled to herself. "It seems that I am more powerful than I originally thought. Isn't that right Cale?" Rey Palpatine said as she picked up the baby.
