Star Wars: A Single Wish

I don't own Star Wars. Disney owns Star Wars. This Fanfiction is something I have played around with for a very long time. In my head at least and I want to write some stuff about star wars. This is a wish fulfillment and I don't expect that to get through some of the thick skulls of readers. I won't be updating this regularly, and I wont be giving it a schedule. It's just something I'll write and update when I feel like it. This story isn't set in the skywalker saga, I don't want to get within a light year of that radioactive waste dump. While the original trilogy, clone wars, and mandolorian were excellent that's where the list ends. I don't want people writing reviews for this story, but I won't say you cant. I just want people to read a star wars fanfiction that is better then most out there. I wont lie I'm inspired by A New Player In The Force. However, my story wont be anything like that fanfiction though I really suggest you people read it. Its actually written by an educated teacher whos fighting leukemia. I won't bore you guys with anymore talk so I'll get right into the synopsis now. ------------------- A young boy, no older then 15 lies dying in his hospital bed. The reason he is here is because of the illness he inherited from his mother. He doesn't resent anything about his mother or what he got from her, only that his death be as quick. Before he rested his diseased body on this bed, he would comfort his mother while he could still be considered healthy. His mother passed fast compared to the rate he is going. The Opal family dies with him, and nothing can stop that. One of the things the two did was watch movies and T.V. shows, and their favorite was everything star wars. With Nathan Opal on his last day he is happy that his painful torment shall end. This is where the story begins.

Tour Of The Senate Chambers

{If you want to read ahead go to my https://www.(p)-(a)-(t)-(r)-(e)-(o)-(n).com/easyread}

{Daily updates will continue from this point on since I've finished book 1.}

~~~(POV: Nella Opal)~~~
~~~(Location: Senate Chambers, Coruscant)~~~

Mom and I walk side by side as we make our way to the Senate Chambers. It's something that I've always wanted to see. It's where The Republic was born and is kept alive today. The beating heart of everything I know is here.

Growing up in politics isn't something that I didn't think I'd leave behind. Nate taught me that not forgetting the past can help you with your future.

He's been teaching me things his way. I know the difference between the Jedi teachings and Nate's teachings. My power has grown greatly since my life on Alderaan. I'm becoming better with a lightsaber as the days pass by too.

"So, how has your life with Nate been?"

I knew that she was going to being this up. She loves Nate, but she loves me more. And there are doubts in her. I can sense it.

"Everything has been great. Yeah, we've run into trouble here and there. But it's not like that wasn't expected. He's taught me so much about The Force and so much about fighting. You'd be so proud if you could see what I can do now."

The apprehension on her features doesn't go unnoticed. After a couple of minutes of walking, we make it to the empty Senate Chambers and get on one of the lifts. She takes me to the center of the room, and I look out at the rows and rows of lifts.

There was a time in my life this is all I dreamed about. But after finding out how big the galaxy really is, I know that I can't stay locked in a single place.

"You can stay here with me if you want... I didn't know how much I'd miss you when you left... I'm always scared that I'm gonna get a holo that you've been killed or Nate and you are missing..."

It's moments like these when your parents need you. I take a step over and wrap my mom in a hug. She squeezes me tightly, almost like she's not going to let me go.

"You know I can't stay, mom. Nate is teaching me how to control and channel my powers. He's keeping me safe. But we'll probably be on Coruscant for the next few days. We can spend as much time together as you want."

It'll be a minute before Nate finds a ship to his liking. I've picked up that he's a rather picky person when it comes to things that are expensive. But I guess that comes with not being a rich noble on Alderaan. He carries our name, but not our wealth.

That, and he's the son of a Force God called Abeloth. A secret that only I know at this point. I wonder what everyone would think if they found out?

"That sounds wonderful, sweetie. There is supposed to be a meeting of the Senate the day after tomorrow. Would you like to attend?"

Wow, an actual meeting of The Senate...

"Do you even have to ask?"

A large and bright smile appears on my mother's face, and we make our way out of The Senate Chambers. As we leave the area, we see Nate and Satele talking to some other Jedi. I make my way over, and mom is right behind me.

"What's up?"

Nate turns and smiles down at me.

"I was just catching up with some friends I had back when I was an initiate on Tython. We're all about to go eat something. Want to come?"

This time, he looks at mom. The offer is more for her than it is for me. It doesn't take us long to find a place that serves food in The Senate Building. It's actually really good. It'd make sense since so many people that come here are rich, powerful, and demanding.

My eyes are resting on the woman across from me. She's in her early twenties and won't take her eyes off Nate. I know that Jedi aren't supposed to love or partake in such things, but I can see desire when I look for it.

"That's when Nate blew a wall out of the temple."

Satele is telling a story about Nate to my mom. It's one of the times when he was younger and didn't have control over his power.

"Don't remind me. Master Caleb had me studying breathing and meditation techniques for two weeks after that."

Seems like there were some good memories for him on Tython as well. My eyes turn back to the woman, and her look at Nate hasn't changed.

It's funny. I never saw Nate as someone who could draw others in, or be interested in others. He's always so serious.
