The First Game (2)

Link was falling from the sky, but his eyes were calm as he looked around him. A giant beam colored light blue shot to the sky as it pierced the clouds, going beyond what the eye could see.

"There is a desert, ice and forest regions, and I'll be landing in the forest region close to the desert.. I should be able to move around the forest undetected with my Shadow Dive Skill and collect as many coins as I can" Link muttered to himself. A few seconds later, he reached the ground with terrifying speed, but something seemed to happen as he slowed down significantly and landed safely. "Too bad they limited flight to 10 feet off the ground, or I would have been able to scan the whole continent in a day… Whatever, let's get started"

With a simple jump, Link sank into the shadows. With all his Stealth Skills on, no one will be able to find him unless they were specifically looking for him.

The forest was lush with countless trees, bushes and what not. Link moved around as he jumped from one shadow to another. Unfortunately for him, when he tried to use his Psy Energy and scan the whole region, some form of mysterious power seemed to be blocking him, limiting it to 100 meters around him only. Link was not bothered with this, as all that needs to happen is he passes by a coin and it enters his 100 meters radius. But there was one problem with this, and it was if the coins were underground or hidden in something that he might not recognize.

As he moved through the forest with caution, Link managed to find a coin 45 meters away from him hidden between a tree's branches. "I don't think all of them will be this easy to find" Link had been looking around for an hour now and only found a single coin, which made him wonder how many coins he missed.

"I knew this was not going to be ea.." Link stopped in the middle of his sentence. Approximately over 300 meters away from him was a group of people walking around, occasionally chatting. With Link's superior eyesight, he saw them the moment they appeared from behind one of the trees, in which he recognized a few of them as players he saw in the Hall.

Carefully, Link started approaching them as he was interested in their conversation.

"We've been looking for over an hour now but only found 6 coins.. What should we do?" A tall man with an average face spoke to another. They were separated slightly but kept each other in their eyesight.

"What Can we do?" The short man shrugged. "All we can do for now is look for coins, and maybe if we're lucky someone who got more than we do passes by"

"You two stop talking and focus. There's 5 of us so we need 500 coins" A woman with short hair and sharp eyes yelled. "You two only found 1 coin, do you really think if you keep this up we're sharing?" She said.

"The deal was we split evenly!" The short man yelled.

"WE SPLIT EVENLY WHEN EVERY FUCKING PERSON DOES HIS PART!" The woman seemed to have a short fuse as she blew up at them. "WE DON'T NEED USELESS CUNTS IN THE GROUP!"

"Damn, calm down we get it!" The tall man spoke.

Link smiled seeing this go down and thought. 'This is the problem with grouping up with people you don't know..' Link moved closer to the two and started slowly following them from tree to tree. He waited for the woman to stop glaring at the two, and the moment she did, Link used his Psychokinesis and moved an object on the other side of the group. The woman and two other men looked in that direction as they signaled each other. With their attention pulled to the opposite side, Link quickly fused Mana and Psychokinesis, breaking the tall and short men's necks.

Crack!

It was smooth and swift, barely making any noise. With their bodies falling slowly and gently to the ground, Link moved around the group until he reached the other side and stood there, waiting.

"Hey, you two idiots, what're you doing?" When the woman looked back finally, she found the two men laying on the floor as if they were asleep. She frowned and took a step forward, but then..

Crack!

Crack! Crack!

Like toys, Link quickly killed the rest. He could have done so earlier, but he needed to test a few things. These people were Archmages either on the peak or near it. Link wanted to see if any of them could detect his Psy Energy, and if it was possible to resist it.

Link killed the woman right in front of the other two men on her right, in which their eyes widened and activated their defensive and offensive spells. But it was all for naught, as with a quick but strong push, their necks turned to a disturbing angle, ending their lives just like that.

Link was shocked and surprised about how easy it was to kill Archmages. He knew that without his Psy Abilities this would have been a 100 times more difficult, as Mana can be easily sensed by people of their Level even before the Spell was used.

"So the only people that might be able to counter me are people who have Psy Energy too? Sweet!" Link smiled, moving to the group and taking everything of value they might have carried on them.

6 coins were added to Link's Inventory, making them 7 in total. He also found some herbs and plants, food and whatnot. They seemed to have gathered other things as they looked around. The games did not allow for anything other than weapons and armor into the games. Link was surprised to find his inventory empty when he was teleported, but it was not shocking, as nothing can be hidden from the eyes of deities.

After that quick fight, Link kept looking around the Region, occasionally finding other Players and ending it as quickly as he did with the rest.

2 days passed just like that, with Link either hunting for Players or looking for coins. He personally managed to find 5 extra coins around and received around 14 from others, which brought his tally up to 26 Coins.

"This is going well.. 74 more to go!" Link grinned before moving again.

"That kid is pretty good!" A bearded dwarf looking man drank from his mug as he watched a purple eyed kid. In the corner of the screen, there was an eye with a number next to it (10 254).

"He isn't bad i agree, but he's not the only one with a Psychic Core" A woman wearing a robe smiled. "I can't wait for them to meet each other, it'll be an entertaining fight!"

"Indeed!"
