Hearing her Grandfather's words Tearia had a feeling she wasn't going to like what was coming next and she was absolutely right. Before she could even blink her hand was taken and they were already flying through the sky. However while they were going at a speed tearia could handle she still didn't like it. "Not used to this at all." She hadn't flown much throughout her life but she disliked it the few times she did try but she couldn't quite explain why but at the very least she trusted her Grandfather.
"Ughh."
Refusing to look down at the city beneath them Tearia closed her eyes and just let her Grandfather do all the work as he smoothly travelled towards the Selturn Clan's Resident. Their place was the only spot in the city big enough to host such a competition. With at least two thousand entries that was already a lot of space along with how many spectators they allowed. "They sure are flashy this time around." Eli knew a little about all the big four clans of Belturn but besides some information here and there he had always ignored them leaving them to their business as long as they didn't mess with his and that was how it was in these past couple years after he had arrived here. "But now they're doing something like this." He didn't know what they exactly had planned creating such a competition but over the next couple days he would find out.
Like that they finally arrived in front of a giant mansion near the center of Belturn that stretched on forever almost while they remained unnoticed the entire time before setting down to the streets in front of it. Eli didn't want to cause too much of a ruckus so going in the normal way was most likely for the best especially with Tearia here to complete her registration.
"Come on let's go."
Nodding they all walked out of an alleyway and entered the crowd of people before making it to a line designated for participants. After some more time had passed they eventually made it through the entire line and process ending with Tearia getting a small stamped infused with basic Astral Energy in it to confirm their registration and standings in the competition before moving on themselves towards the spectators stand.
Turning to Tearia Eli spoke up as they took a seat in the stands that were prepared for spectators.
"You've got an hour before it starts, do you want to do anything to prepare?"
"No I think I'm good."
Looking around at all the seats starting to fill up it was finally starting to hit Tearia that this competition was about to start. "two thousand people." She knew how many people would be fighting today already but it was still scary. "Hell half of those people will be removed in the first round." There would first be two sets of one thousand to eliminate numbers then it would go on from there. Each contestant was also given a number indicating who they were while also serving as a guide to know where they would fight. "twenty eh?." The number she randomly received was twenty herself though it didn't mean anything.
"Alright then let's wait for it to begin."
hunching himself over Eli began to watch as crowds of people began to fill up the seats all around him while he began to spread his Astral Energy throughout the entire area to check on things. "Quite a few strong ones here in this competition." Even with the age restriction of twenty years old Eli was still finding people with talent almost similar to some of the people in his old city. "Quite a few Fourth stages and.....Is that a fifth stage?" Almost doubting himself for a second he concentrated on that person as he honed in on them to see one lone girl sitting in the corner.
"That's definitely fifth level strength." Confirming it Eli had his worries raised as he continued looking at her before he watched her begin looking around for something. "And she's got the instincts of a monster." No one regardless of their strength should have been able to tell they were being watched but it seems this little girl could sense something was off while he observed her. Breaking off his connection he scattered his Astral Energy as he sighed.
"That one is a real monster."
""..?""
With two confused voices beside him he decided to explain before warning Tearia.
"I found someone that you should absolutely be careful of. if you see the number thirty three be extremely careful and.....as much as it pains me to say this I think-"
But before he could finish his sentence and received a reply his voice was cut off by the loud echoing of another one in the center of the stage.
"Welcome to our little competition everyone."
"it's already beginning." Shaking his head he turned to Tearia.
"Never mind hurry and go to the participant area so you don't get left out."
"Alright....."
She had some questions still but she knew her Grandfather was right. Getting down from the spectator area with the announcer's voice in the background Tearia headed towards the Participant Area.
"What are you doing here….."
Two voices echoed out the same time as they happened to catch a purple haired girl walking towards the Participation Area. Without noticing what was going around her Tearia eventually arrived there and walked towards all the other people that stood there and began to wait for the opening speech to finish.
"I wonder which one of them I'll be fighting first." Scanning the people around her she began to look through trying to guess who she'll be fighting but she was interrupted by the flashing of the stamp on her hand the was lighting up on.
"Looks like I'm fighting first."
With a little bit of nerves she stopped and turned to look at her stamp as it it began to project the numbers of herself and who she would be facing today and at what stage.
"Number..."
