A Pitched Battle of Hallucinations

"Haha, I got a proper mount now." Jyorta laughed, climbing atop the Aura Beast. Even though it was awkward to sit atop a creature whose face resembled a human, as the rest of its body was similar to a lizard, he barely reigned in his disgust.

This Aura Beast was both agile and had a lot of stamina. So, he intended to rely upon it to travel, commanding the worm, "Stay within the ground for now. I'll call you if I have any use for you."

The worm immediately burrowed into the ground, erasing all traces of it.

Smiling in content, Jyorta motioned for the Aura Beast to begin running, picking a direction to travel. But, he had travelled for less than a minute when the blue soul suddenly shuddered a little, or rather, it also expressed some desire.

He turned around in response, gazing at the sky, failing to see anything. But, he frowned, noticing the sensation given to him by the blue soul continuing to increase steadily, making him understand that something was indeed amiss, 'This doesn't feel like Laila. Has a subsoul of her entered here?'

'No, this is different!' Just as the thought appeared in his mind, Jyorta patted the Aura Beast, commanding it while he raised his hand and shot forth a weak Aura Beam.

At the same time, the Aura Beast jumped forth, evading nine spindles that pierced through the sand.

"Spindles?" Jyorta muttered, alarmed, gazing up at the sky to see an eggshell be revealed. His attack caused its invisibility to wear off.

The scene alarmed him, watching nine Tier 2 Spindle Bees flying in the air to aim attacks at him.

Aura Personification—Hallucination!

Jyorta hurriedly unleashed his ability, causing the nine Spindle Bees to flinch for a moment before their actions alarmed him.

His hallucination got countered.

Moreover, he noticed his Aura Beast pausing for a moment, as if it was being subjected to a hallucination. He instantly countered it, frowning in alarm, 'This freaking egg has the same abilities as me!'

Without any hesitation, he commanded the Aura Beast to flee from the place, beginning to escape when his expression collapsed, seeing the egg trailing right after him, easily keeping up with the speed.

Only now did he notice ten Tier 2 Floating Spiders steering it about. For a moment, the scene struck him with an odd sense of familiarity, not to mention the sensation his blue soul was continuously transmitting to him.

'Is it an Aura Beast that has gathered all my presence scattered about in this world?' Thinking as such, Jyorta looked at his energy reserves, enacting a daring plan, 'At present, it seems the abilities of both of us are on par with one another.'

Aura Induction—Tattoo World!

He immediately brought out the presences from his tattoo world, placing them under his hallucination as he caused them to swarm the egg.

In the meantime, he took out his reserve of bananas and began to consume them, intending to quickly replenish his expended presence.

The Tier 2 Spindle Bees shot their spindles, shooting down the Floating Spiders and Spindles Bees he had released, piling up countless deaths.

Even though he flinched at the wasted resources, those that he had painstakingly captured, Jyorta had no other choice but to do so. Otherwise, he wouldn't be able to survive.

Taking advantage of the chaos brought about by the countless Frenzy Beasts, he hesitated for a moment before taking out a Tier 2 Lava Turtle, causing it to focus on the egg before unleashing a gust of hot wind that burst into flames immediately.

In defence against the attack, the egg simply charged forward, allowing the fire to strike it. But, right before it had done so, the Tier 2 Floating Spiders spun a web, creating a defensive barrier using it.

It blocked the fiery gust while three Spindle Bees focused attacks onto the Tier 2 Lava Turtle, causing it to scream in pain while its head was riddled with spindles.

Moreover, a wave of hallucination wrapped around it, affecting his hallucination, negating the two. As they entered a stalemate, the Lava Turtle was able to see the reality now, gazing at the figure of Jyorta nearby, immediately beginning to attack him.

Even though he was flustered, Jyorta didn't lose his cool, knowing his opponent from the start. He brought out something from his tattoo world and shot them using his Aura Beams as launchers.

The entities landed on each of Tier 2 Floating Spider on the egg accurately, burrowing into them, suddenly causing them to scream in pain. For, they were being eaten up from the inside.

Shoe Fishes!

He temporarily created fragile tattoos and overlaid them atop the Shoe Fishes, launching them forth using his Aura Beams. And, their only task was to be suicidal, to destroy the nervous system of the Floating Spiders after gaining control of that.

And in this situation, it only meant one thing.

Losing Control!

After all, he was aware of one fact. It was that Frenzy Parasites couldn't be controlled through his hallucinations. Even if he put them under a hallucination, the effect would be swiftly eroded. It was because every Frenzy Parasite was under the influence of Rhachis Ancestor Parasite.

All he would be able to control was the respective Frenzy Beast. And only by using it as a catalyst was he able to affect the Frenzy Parasite to some extent. But, once the Frenzy Beast lost control, controlling it using a hallucination, at least with the level of expertise he had, wasn't possible.

Since his opponent had the same level of power as him, Jyorta had taken such a daring response, watching the ten Tier 2 Floating Spiders lose control. As their bodies morphed, they entered a state of frenzy, immediately attacking their closest target.

And here, it was the egg, or rather, the entity within it.

The moment they began to attack the egg, the effect of hallucination from the other party vanished as Jyorta was instantly able to change the tide of the battlefield, placing all the Frenzy Beasts under his control, causing them to attack the nine Tier 2 Spindle Bees that were desperately resisting them.
