chapter 3: sunset strip

So I was wondering where it was so thanks to the internet. I looked it up and punched in the coordinates to the gps. And it said twenty minutes away. So I knew it wouldn't take me long. But I started to back out of the space and I turned on the radio and the first thing that came on was 570 by motionless in white. I love there music. So I turned it up a little more and headed over.

It did take about thirty minutes to get over there but totally worth it. It was really pretty. But I found a spot to park and I took out my stuff, and started to walk and I found a outlet and set up there. So I started to practice it a little then I just played what first came to my mind. The first song that came to my head to be exact. Catch me when I fall by stitched up heart. After a moment I didn't realize it but I was singing to it.

I finished and I was a little out of breath but all I heard the next thing was clapping. I looked down but I said. " thanks." Very shyly. But I continued and the next song I wanted to play was angel eyes. I also love New Year's Day. If I could ever see them in concert I would be thrilled. But I continued and I did a few more songs but after I finished apocalyptic by halestorm which they are another favorite band of mine. I saw two people standing one was covered in tattoos and the other she had a few but why do they look so familiar?

So the tall one broke the ice, " that was really good, what's your name?" I was a little curious but I wasn't sure if I should tell him but you never know. " Haley. And thanks." They both smiled and the one said, " I am scarlett" I said, " hi, nice to meet you." Then the tall one said, " I'm Justin." I said, " hi." Then scarlet asked, " how long have you been playing?" "I think since high school. So freshman year." So wait let me think, freshman year- 2017, okay so about four years.

I had to ask, " are you from the u.k?" I had to ask becuase one I was curious and two I was wondering, " yes. We are just here for a concert in a few days. But might as well explore." I smiled, and they said, " well we're going to go but it was nice meeting you Haley. And keep on playing." I smiled and my thoughts were okay this is awesome.

But I wanted to play one more song. And I still love this band to this day, so I started to play kickstart my heart, by Motley Crue. So I love this band and I just felt smiley after I sang. Just when I listen or play music. I just become lost in my world. But I finished and I still had a smile on my face but I start to pack up and then I heard someone say something, " excuse me, what's your name?" I looked to see a few people and I got up and said, " Haley."

" hi, you were really good." I smiled and said, " thank you." Then another one said, " I am sorry my name is ash." I was becoming curious and wait, no, never mind. So then something clicked in my head, " so if you don't mind me asking how long have you been playing for?" I replied, " since freshman year, so, about four years." He nodded and then another person asked, " you don't seem like you are from here?" I laughed, " no, I just moved here yesterday." They looked at me shocked, " wow. I see you are already trying to get your voice heard?" I smiled and said, " yes, music is my entire life, I think I would or might die without it."

I did have one question though, " can I ask you something?" They nodded sure, " are you in a band? You look very familiar?" Ash smiled and said, " yeah, I play bass and cc over here plays drums." Then it slapped me in the face. So ash and cc one plays bass, is the outlaw, and cc the crazy one. O my gosh.

" you wouldn't happen to be in the band bvb right?" They nodded yes, " okay I am going to keep my sanity. This is so cool." They laughed, and cc said, " well it is cool to meet a fan." I smiled and said, " I am, and well you guys saved me from losing my sanity. I went through hell. But thanks to black veil brides, you saved me so thank you very much."

They smiled and I think cc faked a tear, but I laughed, and it has been a while since I laughed, or smiled. But I packed up the rest of my stuff. And said, " I am gonna go, but it was great meeting you guys. And thanks once again." I smiled and walked away and back to my car. So I had to text my friend, and my dad. But I swear I needed new friends out here.

But once I got home I walked in and to my apartment, I saw ghost curled up in a ball and the blanket was slightly wrapped around her. I smiled and gave her a little kiss on her head. I had to head to bed since I had work tomorrow.
