Don't worry I'm here

She is just a little girl. How will she bear all this pain? Lucas was thinking all this when a nurse called him out excusing herself into the ward.

Nurse: It's time for surgery.... everything's prepared. Are you ready Rachel?

Rachel nodded smiling brightly. How can this girl smile in this situation? Bella was brought out of her reverie when Rachel called her out. She jerked and stood up. Soon she was transferred to the OT.

Silence engulf her when Rachel was taken into the room. There was no one with her to share her worries, she was just all along herself. She sat in the bench and stared into the space.

Her eyes was shedding tears continuously but she didn't cared enough to wipe them off. Instead she was contemplating about what would happen next. Lucas reached there and sat beside her.

Lucas: Don't worry...she will be fine. She is a strong kid, Bella.

He reached out his handkerchief to her. She looked at him with her teary eyes. Her tears continued to flow like a river. He felt really bad seeing her vulnerable side. Before he knew it, he hugged her instinctively.

She was too dazed to be aware of that. She just needed someone to be with her at that very moment. When that person comforted her,she don't want to push him away.

He kept patting her back and whispering sweet comforting words to her. "Don't worry nothing will happen..... I'm here. I won't let anything happen to her." She would have rejected someone's sympathy in the past but in the current situation she appreciated it.

Maybe because she knew he wasn't pitying her. He was just helping her to stay strong. And now just those simple words were encouraging her to be positive.

Her weeping making his shirt wet. But he was more focused on calming her down first. He himself don't know why he is feeling pain just by seeing her crying.

Soon she only sobbed silently. But it was also stopped after some time. When he looked down at her, he found she was asleep. Maybe too much stress caused her to sleep.

He adjusted her head on his shoulder finding a more comfortable position for her. Two hours already passed,but there was still no news of inside.

Suddenly Bella jerked up and open her eyes. She looked around and then with a questioning gaze ask him.

Bella: How many hours did I slept?

Lucas: It's been nearly two hours.

Bella:Two hours and still nobody came out?

He shaked his head and she again sat straight waiting for some news about her daughter.

Lucas: Wait for me here....I'm come back in just a few minutes. Okay?

He left her there and after some time a nurse come out. She rushed to her.

Bella: How is my daughter?

Nurse: Don't worry she is fine right now. Her condition is stable. Excuse me.

She left and Bella again sat on the bench. A few more minutes passed until he came back with a bag. He sat beside her and give it to her.
