You need to take care of yourself

Lucas: Here. You might be hungry. Eat something.

Bella: Thank you but I'm not feeling hungry. There is still no news from inside.

Lucas: It's already past lunch time now. You need to eat to take care of her, right?

He gave her the bag and she take it. She looked at him and asked.

Bella: You also have not eaten anything after the breakfast, right?

Lucas: Not yet.

Bella: You can eat anything from this. It's too much for me to finish.

Lucas: Thanks for offering but I bought it for you. You can eat it, you must be tired from all this.

Bella: Aren't you also tired? You are a human too. You need to take care of yourself. Here eat something.

When Bella was blabbering or more scolding him for not eating, something made his heart soften. Her words were simple but they left a magical effect on him.

She was making him feel that he also deserve the treatment he is giving her. She also cared about his little details like he did just now. But why are they both doing it like they have been doing this for a long time? Why are they behaving like old friends when they have met only a few days before? Why...

Lucas: Thank you. You eat too.

They both eat in the hushed silence. And slowly another hour passed since then.

Bella: It's taking so much time. Do you think there is some problem?

Lucas: Why are you thinking like that? Everything is.....

A voice of door opening come, cutting him mid sentence. When they looked in the direction, they saw the doctor coming. Bella run to his direction.

Bella: Doctor what happened?

Doctor: Don't worry. The surgery was successful...she is fine now.

Bella: Is she awake now? Can I meet her?

Doctor: She is still unconscious. We will transfer her to her room...you can meet her then.

Bella: Ok thank you doctor.

Doctor shifted his gaze from her to Lucas.

Doctor: You must be the father. Please come with me, I will give you her prescription.

Bella: He is....

Lucas: Sure. Let's go doctor.

Bella looke at him shocked. Her face was starting to show expression again,once she got reassured that Rachel is fine. She throw angry look at him and her face was clearly saying care-to-explain-please-mister.

Lucas(whispered to her): You stay here with Rachel. You are neede here. I will come and tell you all the prescription later,okay?

Bella understand his intentions and stayed back. Soon Rachel was also transferred back to her room. She was really happy to see her baby fine. She starts talking to her sleeping figure.

Lucas was also watching her like this. Her face was free from all the worries and he wondered if she is the same person who was crying a few hours ago.

Anyway seeing her happy also make him relieved. Rachel's face was pale and she snorted during her sleep. Bella smiled seeing this and covered her with a blanket carefully.
