My Hero Academia: World Fishing Quirk

Izuku Midoriya suddenly awakens a quirk, letting him fish items from other worlds. ------------------------------------------------------------- Warning: More Slice Of Life than Action. No Harem. Overpowered. Some character bashing. ------------------------------------------------------------- English isn't my first language, and I wouldn't even call my English any good, so don't expect anything grand. ------------------------------------------------------------- I don't own My Hero Academia. The only originals are the OCs and some elements included in the story.

Chapter 14: Pika Pika no Mi Drawbacks

Eight minutes into the practical part of the exam, you could see Izuku sitting on top of one of the houses in the fake city, waiting for the test to end finally.

His breathing was already extremely labored, and he couldn't help but shudder at the thought of how Kizaru of the One Piece World could use his fruit for hours.

'Maybe that is also the reason why Kizaru acts so seldom? His fruit just needs too much energy to uphold, which is why he is seen as lazy?' Izuku thought to himself, still being breathless from his farming of points.

'Never mind that. The test should be over in a few minutes. I really have to increase my stamina and strength, or my Devil Fruit power would be really useless if I could only fight for a few minutes. I still don't understand how Kizaru could kick in a Lightspeed manner. Every time I try something like that, my leg hurts for days. The first time I tried it, I almost broke my leg. It was lucky that I didn't kick that hard at that time, or it would have been bad.' Izuku thought with a frown forming on his face.

'In the end, I need more money for Fishing.'

The only thing he was still doing for the test was sometimes sending out some lasers every time his stamina was full again.

Combined with the pills and sea king flesh, the time for him to recover from his spend strength is short, so he could still farm some points easily.

He decided early on in the test that kicking them broken normally was not something he wanted to do.

Izuku wants to train his fruit power, and training in such a big city without needing to hold back was the best thing for him, so he switched from kicking the Robots broken normally to sitting on a house and sniping them with his lasers training his strength management at how much power he could bring into a laser without them being to destructive and also the accuracy in which he could hit his targets from a long range.

Izuku already knew from Nejire that 40 Points were enough to enter the Hero course of the U.A., so he didn't worry about whether he would be accepted or not.

'53 Points should be enough to enter into the Hero course of the school even if the participants this year are better than in Nejire's year.' Izuku thought to himself with no worry at all.

.........….

At the same time, in a big room with many screens showing different scenes from the participants in the city, you could see some people watching the screens in front of them with interest.

This is the Observation Room from the U.A. school. This room was created to watch the participants of the practical part of the test every year.

In the fake city, many cameras were hidden on streets, houses, etc. There were even some drones flying around the town, watching all the participants' moves and actions.

Every participant could be watched at all times.

Watching the test were the teachers of the U.A. school.

Many were Heroes themselves and could easily find Children who could qualify as Hero material in the future.

In the biggest and most centered chair, you could also see a tiny mouse creature sipping at his tea while watching the scenes happening in front of him and, at the same time, answering questions from other teachers around him.

This was Nezu, the principal of the U.A. school and someone with the quirk' High Spec'.

One of the only known animals on earth who awakened a quirk.

He could already see many potential Heroes in this test.

'There are many more potential Heroes in this year's test than in the past ten years.' Nezu thought to himself.

'Particularly, this one is fascinating.' Nezu thought to himself while watching a screen where a green-haired boy was sitting on a house shooting small lasers around himself every few minutes.

Even though there were only a few lasers shot, the lasers were aimed at Robots that just overwhelmed other test participants, practically 'rescuing' them from the danger.

Even though Nezu knew that the participants were not in danger and he could also see that the kid himself also seemed to know that they weren't in danger, he still helped many of the other participants in 'dangerous' situations.

They wouldn't be killed, but at least some injuries were still unavoidable.

The boy rescuing them from being injured ensured that these rescued guys could still farm points, having a higher chance to enter the school itself.

Nezu couldn't see any of the rescued ones coming into his school, but at least it's the thought that counts that impressed Nezu.

Looking at the file from the boy that he requested and started to read some minutes ago, he couldn't help but say it out loud.

"Interesting." Bringing the other teachers to look at him with intrigue and raised eyebrows.

"Izuku Midoriya. Fourteen years old. Child of Inko Midoriya and Hisashi White. After the ugly divorce of the two parents, Izuku and Inko changed their surname to Inko's maiden name. The reason for their divorce was that their child was diagnosed as quirkless. His father emigrated to the U.S. some years later and never contacted them again when not in court. After a court statement not long ago, the father, Hisashi, now doesn't have to pay any child support anymore since the judge had the same view as Hisashi and saw Izuku as useless since he was quirkless, so Izuku didn't need the money of an 'upstanding' civilian like his father. Surprisingly, some months after the court decision, the quirkless boy suddenly gained a quirk called 'Light.' It's a mutation that transformed Izuku himself into Light." Nezu said casually, giving out one of his future students' private information without holding back.

He didn't care much about this since the teachers had to know if their students had any traumas they had to think about before speaking with them.

A potential Hero that turned into a Villain only because of an insensitive teacher would be a catastrophe, so many of the Students are investigated before they take their test.

Even if most of the participants won't be accepted, the school still has their information on hand.

"Quirkless?" asked a skinny man with sharp, angular features and long limbs. He has blond hair and blue, intense-looking eyes.

He was All Might, the strongest Hero in Japan and also a person who met Izuku once in the past, and at this moment, he looked at the screen showing the green-haired boy with a frown on his face.
