Chapter 47: Battle with Ancient One (1)

Ancient One agreed to the battle and decided that they would resume their discussion after their battle.

She took both herself and Law to the mirror dimension where their battle would take place.

'Hmm, She should be able to control the mirror dimension like how I control things in my ROOM but what if I counter it with my control over ROOM. Well, we will just try to see if it works.' Law thought

Ancient One smiled and said "Let's start" with that she formed Tao mandalas on both her hands and rushed at Law for a close combat fight.

To which Law responded similarly by covering his fists in haki and engaging her in a fist fight.

Both were equally good and countered each other's fighting style.

The Ancient One was fighting with grace and using good speed which was countered by Law's use of observation haki and even if some punches landed on him, his haki protected him from any damage.

On the other hand, Law used brute strength and shinigami fighting techniques which were countered by the Ancient one easily.

'How is she able to dodge and deflect my attacks this easily? Hmm, it must be the time stone. She must be using something like future sight. I can't wait to have my observation haki advance to that level where I can see the future. But let's turn this up a notch.' Law mused

'Room'

As Law used ROOM, Ancient One's eyes widened "Did you do something, I have lost control of the mirror dimension around us?"

'Oh so it really works. Huh'

"Now why would I tell you my secrets during a fight? Only those arrogant villain fools do it." Law replied

Ancient One just smiled at his reply while taking some distance from him. She chanted a fire spell throwing multiple fireballs at him.

Law just smiled at the fireballs but the Ancient One's eyes widened seemingly seeing the future. Law shambled Ancient one with himself.

She had already created a barrier from Eldritch magic protecting her from the fireballs.

"That's a troublesome ability you have there but every ability has a weakness." She said while covering herself with magical energy.

'So she has found a way to defend against it. But I can still use the ability on her but it would consume a lot of energy.'

Law's devil fruit ability on people has a significant weakness. In the anime, if the enemy was covered by haki, it would be difficult to teleport or use other devil fruit abilities on them. One could still use it if he uses a lot of energy in an ability and the haki is not a lot strong.

But in the Marvel universe, there was nothing called haki but there were still other things like Chi and magic which could help a person defend against it. But still Law could use this ability at the cost of using more energy.

"Come forth, o aurora light. Slay my enemy. Show them the light of the judgement sword Hado #16 Apareo Spheralloon'!" [A/N: Self made spell]

A giant sword made of light appeared in the sky of the mirror world and headed towards Ancient one.

Ancient One moved out of the way but the sword followed her.

"A strong spell you have got there." Ancient One complimented while using a spell of her own to destroy the sword creating a strong explosion.

She then created a sword from Eldritch magic and attacked Law.

"Oh using swordsmanship against me? Even with that time stone, you won't be a match against me in swordsmanship." Law taunted her but Ancient one just ignored him

"Let's go Benihime" Law took out Benihime and engaged in a sword fight.

They exchanged blows after blows and slashes after slashes but even with the ability to see future, she was outclassed which was shown by countless small slash wounds on her body. Finally, the Eldritch sword was destroyed.

"Looks like your swordsmanship is really unmatched. But you are not the only one with tricks though." She said as she started using the powers from the dark dimension.

Law could feel the increase in her power.

'Dark Dimension amplifies her magical powers to an unmatched level. It's like giving her a 500% attack buff. Looks like it's time for my first intense fight in this world.' Law has a wide grin on his face despite the battle.

"Awaken Benihime" Law for the first time has decided to use shikai in a battle.

Benihime took the form of a sleek, medium-sized sword. At the blade's hamon is straight, colored black with a silver edge and is somewhat thicker than the cane-sealed state. It remains straight and slim with a somewhat short size, with the tip ending in a slanted razor-like edge instead of tapering to a point.

'If you have your buff, I have my own.' Law smirked seeing Ancient One's expression clearly feeling the change in both Law and the blade.

Ancient one again used a fire spell but this time the flames were black, stronger and much more hotter.

'Chikasumi no Tate, Benihime (Blood mist shield)'

A hexagon-shaped crimson barrier was formed in front of Law which blocked all the flames.

After the flames were dispersed, Law counterattacked.

'Shred, Benihime'

Countless crimson needle-like projectiles were fired from the barrier at an intense speed towards her which she couldn't possibly dodge even if she could see the future.
