Chapter 105: When Loki got a taste of his own medicine!

Loki, his face a study in conflicting emotions, finally settled on indignant rage. "Unhand me, you presumptuous mortal! Do you have any idea who I am?"

Law's grin widened. "Oh, I know exactly who you are, Loki Laufeyson. God of Mischief, part-time prankster, full-time drama queen. But the real question is... do you know who I am?"

"I AM THE GREAST MERCENARY IN ALL OF NINE ____" Before Law could complete his introduction, he was interrupted by a stammering Loki.

"What did you just call me, Laufey...son?" Loki said with shaky hands

"Oopsie" Law said, his expression of surprise so exaggerated it was clearly fake. "Was that supposed to be a secret? My bad!"

Loki's face had gone pale, his usual composure cracking like ice in spring. "You lie, mortal. I am Loki Odinson, son of—"

"Oh honey," Law interrupted, twirling Loki's dagger between his fingers. "Let's not kid ourselves here. I mean, have you looked in a mirror lately? Those cheekbones? Definitely not from the Odin gene pool. And let's be honest, blue is totally your color."

"Blue? What nonsense are you—" Loki began, but Law was already on a roll.

"You know, it's actually quite impressive," Law continued, pacing around the still-floating Loki as if giving a lecture. "The spell hiding your true appearance? Top-notch work. A little basic entropy manipulation, a dash of quantum glamour... Frigga really outdid herself with that one."

Pietro, who had been watching this exchange like a tennis match, whispered to himself, "And here... we... go. Another one who would be going in depression because of master."

Loki's voice was barely above a whisper. "You're lying. This is some sort of trick."

Law's grin turned predatory. "Oh, but you know I'm not. You've always known, haven't you? Why else would Odin favor Thor so blatantly? Why else would the throne always seem just out of reach?" He leaned in close, his voice dropping to a stage whisper. "After all, how could a Frost Giant ever sit on the throne of Asgard?"

The color drained entirely from Loki's face. With a wave of his hand, Law released him from the Ope Ope no Mi's effect, and Loki stumbled as his feet hit the ground.

"No... no, this cannot be..." Loki's hands were trembling now, his legendary silver tongue turned to lead.

Law shrugged, the picture of casual indifference. "Hey, don't take my word for it. Go ask Daddy Dearest yourself. I'm sure he has a perfectly reasonable explanation for why he's been lying to you your entire life."

That was all it took. Loki turned and ran, his usual grace forgotten as he fled the courtyard, his mind a whirlwind of denial and dawning horror.

As Loki disappeared from view, Pietro turned to Law with a mix of awe and concern. "That was... brutal. True?"

Law's grin was positively wicked. "Oh, completely true. But sometimes the truth is the best weapon for causing chaos. Now, shush let me watch this family drama and people think that only daily soap opera have those..." He closed his eyes, extending his Observation Haki to follow the unfolding drama.

Through the palace halls Loki ran, his world crumbling with each step. As he rounded a corner, he collided with a broad chest clad in gleaming armor.

"Brother!" Thor's booming voice echoed in the hallway. "What troubles you? You look as though you've seen a ghost!"

But Loki, for perhaps the first time in his life, had no words for his brother. With tears threatening to spill from his eyes, he shoved past Thor, leaving the God of Thunder standing bewildered in his wake.

"Loki?" Thor called after him, but Loki was already gone, his footsteps echoing on the marble floors.

Finally, Loki burst into the throne room, where Odin sat in quiet contemplation. The All-Father looked up, his single eye widening at the sight of his usually composed son in such distress.

"Is it true?" Loki demanded, his voice cracking. "Am I... am I not your son?"

The silence that followed was deafening. Odin's grip on Gungnir tightened, and in that moment, Loki had his answer.

"Who told you?" Odin asked quietly, and Loki felt his world shatter completely.

"So it is true," Loki whispered. "I am no son of Odin. I am... a monster."

"Loki, no," Odin began, rising from his throne, but Loki was already backing away.

"All my life... a lie. A relic, stolen from Jotunheim. No wonder you could never give me the throne. How could a Frost Giant ever rule Asgard?"

Before Odin could respond, Loki turned and fled once more, this time seeking the one person who had always been his comfort: his mother.

Back in the courtyard, Law opened his eyes, a satisfied smirk playing on his lips. "And that, my dear Pietro, is how you cause chaos with style."

Pietro shook his head, both impressed and slightly terrified. "You're evil, you know that?"

Law placed a hand over his heart in mock offense. "Evil? Me? Never! I prefer to think of myself as... an agent of chaos. Sometimes the truth needs a little push to come out. Besides," his grin turned mischievous, "what's the point of being an interdimensional anomaly if you can't stir up a little family drama now and then?"

As if on cue, a rumble of thunder echoed across Asgard, and dark clouds began gathering over the golden city.

"Ooh, looks like Thor's figured out something's wrong with his baby brother," Law said, rubbing his hands together gleefully. "Want to stick around and watch the fireworks?"

Pietro looked up at the darkening sky, then back at Law's grinning face. "You know what? Why not? But if anyone asks, this was all your idea."

"Fair enough," Law chuckled. "Now, who wants to bet on how long it takes before someone drops the 'adopted' bomb at the next family dinner?"

As chaos continued to unfold in the halls of Asgard, Law couldn't help but feel a sense of satisfaction. After all, sometimes the best way to make things interesting was to tell the truth... especially when the truth was exactly what no one wanted to hear.

And as for Loki? Well, let's just say the God of Mischief was about to learn that when it came to causing mischief, he might have finally met his match.
