Game of hope

In around november 2021, our life saw something rare in Japan as they suddenly said they planned to open up the border for foreigners. That in itself created lots of hopium in the community. However the community also had a lower expectations due to the natural habit on what the japanese government would do from the past. While waiting on the announcement of border reopening, Sung and his friends play the game of predicts what japanese government would plan to do for the reopening the border.

The reopening of the border came with some more nonsense from the government. They even added more steps to enter Japan. So instead of directly able to apply their visas to enter the country, foreigners must first apply the newly innovated screening certificate which needed at least 3 weeks to came out in which cased, foreigners needs to apply for the visa again. However luckily this doesn't involved the foreign spouses and families. It only involved the international students and foreign workers. Sung, who was an international students, must also apply to get the screening certificate before he could apply for his visa.

Worst of all the screening certificate could only be applied depending on the date of when the coe of each of the international students were issued. Sung, who had his coe issued on december 2020 couldn't apply his screening certificate in november, instead he could only apply his screening certificate starting in december. This creates a lot of problem as he could only went to Japan in january even if Japan still open.

Of course with this virus, it mutated into something much worse, causing Japan to expectedly closed the border again after just 12 days. During that time, Japan only received few hundreds of foreigners out of around 370000 foreigners trying to enter Japan. Among those hundreds of foreigners, only 3 international students could enter Japan. This statistics by itself looks grimed for the community, especially with 170000 international trying to enter Japan and only 3 out of 170000 could enter Japan within 12 days. Such horrifying statistics made Sung couldn't slept for days.

And in the community in itself, the atmosphere felt grieved. A lot of foreigners had given up after felt being played in the heart by the demon lord(prime minister). This foreigners who had just given up hope to land in Japan and experience their culture, their language, and more, instead moved their focus towards South Korea. This for them was the best decision of their life due to South Korea being like an angel accepting any foreigners.

Sung who just heard the news that Japan was closing down again and banning foreigners, felt a little bit disappointed, but moreover, he laughed at the decision Japan made on closing the border again.

Sung : I know that this demon lord will do this again. This demon lord is really feels like a boss battle. And even then in isekai world, there would always had a hero while in here, in the real life, it feels like the hero is the one talking about the community situation through youtube with thousands of subscriber.

Sung's friend : You know, even the demon lord in isekai is at least beatable with less effort than this demon lord. The demon lord in most of the isekai at least have a heart while the real life demon lord don't even have a heart. Well at least our guesses were right.

The new entry ban had not only gain the international attention, but even the japanese attention. Tons of articles being published most of them from a really famous outlet. Not only that but the national tv news in Japan was also reporting about this too.

One of the most famous youtuber, pewdiepie, was also stuck outside of Japan. He had planned out everything in Japan like the apartment, and other stuffs too. The only thing he needed was the visas to enter Japan but until now he still couldn't apply for his visas while the DJs and the athletes were able to enter Japan freely.

Sung : Ouwhhhhh, someone famous can't entered Japan. What a surprise. Very unexpected from Japan this is.

Sung's friend : How can Japan not letting someone as high profile as him to enter Japan. Do Japan really thinks that youtubers are not that high profile unlike DJs and athletes? What a joke Japan hahaha.

So in summary this reopening of border in november had just lasted 12 days giving the community roller coaster of hoped and sadness and grieved within 2 weeks which looked like a record. Even breaking up with lovers were even longer than the ban.

Sung : Well this past 12 days have been a roller coaster of emotion hahaha. The moment I let my true feelings out, I will lose this battle against the demon lord.

Sung's friend : Well if you can't laugh you cry. That is why just laugh when Japan back banning again hahaha.

Sung : Yep, if I hope anything from japanese government, I might be dead hahaha.
