Side story 1-Dark life of Karen

(Trigger warning for rape, depression, mental health and stalking.)

Karen, who was from the US, was affected from this ban. Her parents were in Japan working while she planned to move to Japan by 2021. However with the controversial ban going on, she couldn't got her visa made due to the ban.

Her parents, who was in Japan also worried that she couldn't be able to enter Japan. The struggle of not able to meet her parents in Japan causing a damaging mental health for her. She really misses her parents so much that she was willing to sacrifice everything just to see her parents. Especially when her father was getting a disease that was untreatable.

She did promptly tried to fight against the government on Twitter and also joins the community. She tweeted about how she needed all the support in order to enter Japan and also lashes out towards the demon lord. This trip was the last chance that she could've saw her father alive before his death bed. That was the reasons why she really needed to went to Japan immediately. However, Japan being Japan, they just won't allow any foreigners to enter Japan during that time.

Karen (while breaking down in tears) : I really miss you guys. This is really heartbreaking, I just wishes to meet father for the last time, why Japan is gonna do this to me.

Karen's mom : I know you have been through all the hardship. This is the last hurdle to be able to meet your father for the last time before he goes to a better place. As long as Japan open up now, I will directly book you a flight no matter how much it cost as long as you will have no regrets in your life to see your father for the last time.

The conversations kept going on for hours for Karen and her mom. They both laugh and cried at the sametime on the phone and both wishing just one thing, was to went through the last hurdle, which was for Japan to opened up.

Then, 2 months later, Japan was still closing due to Olympics and elections while Karen's father was already in the hospital, saying his dying wishes, while Karen was still outside of Japan trying to enter. This in turned had not only made her hatred towards Japan even bigger, but she also started to despise and cursing the demon lord.

As her father breathe his last breath, grieve atmosphere were surrounding the families. Karen's mother were breaking down in tears while Karen herself were also crying the whole day thinking back towards the memories of the past with her father. She was also unable to ate anything due to her being sicked as she was thinking about her father. Moreover, with her money starting to ran out, she was thinking on making the decision on whether she should start applying for jobs again since Japan won't be opened any time soon.

She went out of her house to start searching for jobs at evening when suddenly, she felt like she was followed by someone she doesn't knew. Once she realized that, she immediately tried to lose him until she was in the alleyway when the man grabs her. The man was apparently drunk and by the looks on the face, he looked likes an japanese ordinary office worker working outside of Japan.

Once he caught Karen, he started slowly caressing her hair while drunk, and started doing weird things like opening his pants and showing some gruesome stuff for her. She tried to escaped but couldn't do that as the man was strong enough to grab hold of her.

Karen, with the face of horror, starting to cry while shouting for helped. The drunk piece of crap then tried to force himself onto her while she tried to fight back but with no avail.

She was traumatized after that day and couldn't even expressed her feelings about anything anymore. She felt both violated and traumatized, especially when she still could remember every single details till this day. She remembers the drunk piece of crap saying " You are a dirty foreigners now. You can't even enter Japan, and you need money too I assume with you trying to find a job. I will give you 100 dollars if you can satisfy me till the night. Then you don't need to go to Japan then(with a dirty smile on his face.)."

This not only made her scared to enter Japan, but was sacred to see any Japanese man coming near her. Her unusual reaction towards Japanese man made one of her friends question her behavior. She then started to told her friends every single details to her friends and her friends were left shocked at what happen towards her. They all went towards the police station to report the piece of crap who force himself to Karen, and was directly caught 2 days after.

Apparently that piece of crap had stalked her social media and hacked all the devices just to see her. He also knew that she was affected by the travel ban. That piece of crap though, supports the ban the demon lord had impose and was trying to prevent her on going to Japan, by traumatizing her so that she wouldn't be able to went to Japan.

This, made her so angry that she started to blame everything on this piece of crap and the demon lord who was banning foreigners to enter Japan. Karen's mother also told her that it would better for her not to come to Japan as she knew that her daughter was traumatized by it. But, with the help of her friends and families, she tries to recovers from the traumatizing day, and she said to her mom that she would willing to fight her trauma just to see her father graves.

In November 2021, Japan announces that they would open the border again. The community went uproar for that. However, for Karen, this border reopening was something like a dream and she directly apply for all the visas and booked the tickets while she was in her therapy sessions. She then fly to Japan exactly one day before Japan closing the borders again for the hundreds of time.

In the end, she was able to saw his fathers grave while breaking down in tears remembering what she had to went through in order to enter Japan. She now tries to advocate and help women who went through a traumatizing past to made a community and talked about it with each other. She also advocates on women's right in Japan but more importantly, she also tries to help the community too to enters Japan. This in return, made her remember less on her traumatizing past, while doing lots and lots of good deeds so that she could be happy again one day and be happy as a tougher women.

While reading the post she had read on Twitter about the ban, she saw an unusual tweet from Sung, who said that we are stronger together. This quote made her smile and she started to chat with Sung. And it inspires Karen to hone her skills and gets a jobs that she likes to do in Japan with a good wage too.
