Chapter 146 : Attack on port royal(2)

It was night in the town of Port Royal. This town was supposed to be peaceful, but now it is filled with the screams of citizens and the cruel laughter of pirates. The streets are littered with dead bodies and the houses are ablaze. The pirates slaughtered everyone, looted the houses, and destroyed everything in their path without mercy.

In the Governer's mansion, the doors to Elizabeth's room were closed by maids. They were walking nervously, fearing pirates and trying to figure out a way out, while Alex sat calmly on the bed since he had nothing to fear.

"Are you also a pirate?" asked Elizabeth as she stood in front of Alex with a serious expression.

"Yes," said Alex as he also looked at Elizabeth

"Then will you help us ?" Elizabeth inquired uncertainly, unsure whether Alex would assist. She doesn't know the stranger in front of her, but it is better to trust him and ask for help rather than face pirates.

And there is also another reason since Alex saved her before, as well as the fact that he seemed to have no intention of attacking them.

"Why would I do that?" asked Alex, confused. Why would she ask a pirate for help?

"Parley"

"I want to make a deal."

"Deal?" asked Alex with question marks on his face.

"Miss, I think it is better to wait for the soldiers," said a maid as she listened to Elizabeth discuss the deal.

"No soldiers are going to come," said Alex

The soldiers are dealing with pirates who are attacking the town and they have no time to save Elizabeth.

"The people who are attacking are undead, they cannot be killed," said Alex as he remembered about the crew and their curse as they cannot be killed until the curse is lifted.

Elizabeth didn't believe Alex's words, and she asked, "Do you think we will believe that?".

"You will believe it soon," said Alex, as he felt the pirates approaching the Elizabeth room.

"Miss they are coming up," said the maid with a look of fear on her face as she saw the pirates coming up.

"What to do miss ?" asked the maid

"Can you solve this?" asked Elizabeth as she looked at Alex

"What?"

"Can you save us from pirates?"

"Yes," said Alex

"Then let's make a deal, according to the pirate code you have to agree to the deal when some mentioned parley "

"Then what can you offer for this deal?" Alex asked, looking curious about what Elizabeth had to offer.

"This medallion," said Elizabeth as she showed the medallion

"No, why would I want that?" Alex replied with a disappointed sigh, as he was not interested in those Azetic coins.

"Then why did you come here?" asked Elizabeth with a questioning gaze. Why did Alex come here if not for this?

"Just to watch the fun," said Alex

There was a series of loud bangings on the door. It was intense and almost relentless. The maids and Elizabeth were startled and scared, and they could feel their hearts pounding in their chests.

"Miss the doors can't last long,?"

"what to do miss ?"

"I will give you anything you want as long as it is something I can provide," said Elizabeth with a serious expression.

"Anything?" asked Alex with an amusing smile

"Yes," said Elizabeth as she suspected Alex was up to something.

"Then do you agree to the deal?"

"Yes, why not? I also have something that I want from you " said Alex as she looked at Elizabeth's face.

"Silence, do you have any other choice ?"

"Then what do you want my lady?" asked Alex

"I want all these pirates out of Port Royal now."

"As you wish," said Alex.

"Now let's deal with the pirates outside."

The doors were forcefully opened.

The pirates barged into the room with swords, yelling and screaming as they rushed in. "Bang" sounded again as the door crashed against the wall. The frightened maids and Elizabeth stood behind Alex.

"There is the medallion," said a pirate as he saw the medallion hanging around Elizabeth's neck.

"Grab her."

"Grab her and kill the remaining "

Pirates yelled as they ran towards Elizabeth to catch her.

"Who gave you that permission?" a cold voice resounded throughout the room stopping the pirates in their tracks, and causing the pirates to shiver from fear as they felt danger.

They felt fear for the first time since they became undead because of the curse. They had never feared death before because of the curse, but now, upon hearing that voice, they were terrified and felt they would die if they were to mess with this person.
