Chapter 56

Scribbler Pov:

After Hiccup drops Thorfinn off in the cave he proceeds to get ready to head out. "So what do you know so far about the enemy other than Ryker is their leader." He asks us.

To this I say. "We know that they number at least half the amount of the Warlords without drago but we had Dragons then. It will be much harder now since we only have Hiccup and Astrid." At that he thinks and realizes something that we do not.

He grabs his gear and haves us lower him out via the winch on the opposite side of the hole. We put it there before we smoothed down the walls for this reason. Once we lower him out he can swing to a ledge and start attacking.

Once he is in veiw of the cliffs the rope shakes before losing all tension. What just happened, we pull the rope up to find a missing THORFINN?!

"Hild, can you see what happened if we lower you down Australian style on the wall." I ask since she can take out any enemies if there are any and look for Thorfinn.

"Yeah, just let me get my arrows ready, I don't want them falling." She replies and we ready another rope. The reason that we did not do this before is because It is dangerous and we did not have the skills. Thorfinn was the only one who could scale out and take out any enemies without being found. He also is the only one with the skills to do it silently in a hostile enviorment.

Once Hild is ready we lower her out with another rope to signal us. 1 Yank means good, 2 means trouble and pull her up. Once she is down enough we hear a whistle and then 2 yanks! We pull her up as fast as possible.

"What happened?" I question. "There was a person stationed to watch us so I took him out. Also from the looks of it Thorfinn cut himself down and is scaling the cliff. My guess is he saw the guard and did not want to be seen. He probably grabbed the tree below and swung to a ledge." Hild responds.

Where ever Thorfinn is I just hope that he is Ok.

Earlier

Thorfinn Pov:

Once I am in veiw of the cliffs I notice a Hunter who has not seen me watching the entrance. I can't let him see me and I have no way of notifying the ones lowering me. I take my fathers knife and cut the rope and fall. I don't know if he saw me but I need to focus on the landing.

As the wind speeds by a mere second after the rope is cut I look around. There is a tree 20 feet and closing just in reach. As I go by I grab and swing on it. After the swing I am thrown horizontally south. I look and the only way I am going to survive is grabbing onto the last edge before I fall off the island.

I reach and manage to grab a hold but it only slows me down before I am yanked out by force. I was going to fast and I look and notice that I am going to have to repeat this to the water. I have a secret way up by his hidden entrance but.

I am jogged from my thinking as I hit another ledge on my now tumble down. Once I recover I notice that I managed to stay on this ledge. The only problem is I am hurting all over. I sit up and realize that my lower left arm is most likely cracked.

I can't move that for a bit and shouldn't try using it much. I think about what I am going to do. I could try to climb back up about 2,500 feet which I just fell down 1,000 of or I can go down the 2,000 feet to the ocean.

If I climb I will have the advantage of hunters not being able to see beneath ledges. There is the problem of hunters to the side so there is that. I would also have to traverse the island to Hiccups dock. Meaning that I would have to kill.

On the other option I have to look for ledges to climb down. When I get down I have to swim underwater for over a mile meaning incredible stress on my arm. Even if I was not seen would I have the strength to take out the hunters.

Either way it is a test of strength and will power. I just hope that I can... make... it.

Hiccup Pov:

As I leave I notice that there was a hunter. I cannot do anything because then they will know I am here. I fly up and get out of range of defences and head back to the ship over the island.

On my way over the island I start to drift off frm fatige. I hadn't really rested due to this attack and that was not helpful. As I was going over the holiday district I heard a whistle and nooticed a bola coming at me.

I manage to dodge but it gets my tail. Turns out the moon was out and highlighted me. As I start to crash I transform and take out my artificial wings. My prosthetic leg is destroyed so yeah that is a problem.

I glide all the way over to a mountain that I don't see any hunters on and land. I look around and notice hunters coming for me so I quickly head into a cave I saw. Looking around It seems pretty normal and I quickly realizes that it goes down.

I wonder where it goes and as long as it gets me away from these guys It does not matter where it goes. I just need to get away without being caught.
