2 Right person wrong time

It was the right person wrong time kind of thing between them.. An unexpected yet impossible love story.. Jake met Abby when he was just 15 years old.. Just a lost soul wondering why it always feels left out.. A lost soul searching for the true meaning of home..A lost soul feeling unexpected by everyone, but the stars..

If it wasn't for Abby, that lost soul might have become one.. The only thing that stopped him from giving up and gave him the courage to continue was them..

But it was impossible for them.. They were soulmates who weren't meant to be.. Made for each other yet they can't be together.. Like the sun and the moon.. Like candle and the darkness.. Like moth and the flame.. One must go down for the other to rise.. One must melt in order to light up the other.. One must burn in order to touch the other..

Knowing they couldn't have a future together, they continued their story hoping their ending would change magically..

But in reality, magic is nothing but an illusion..

...

"Even if we can't change the ending, we can still write some pages together; At least we can make some memories together and store them in our hearts forever so later when we're not together, we'll take them out and it will at least make us smile for a moment"

...

So they wrote their few pages of life together and decorated them with love.. In those pages, they not only loved each other but they learned to love themselves as well.. A love that teaches you to love yourself.. What can be more precious than such love?

They wrote and wrote and wrote until their time together was up..

They got too happy making memories that they almost forgot that time waits for no one..

Eventually, they had to separate in order to protect each other with a promise to remember each other and continue their journeys until..

"Until we meet again.."

Now, what shall Jake call it.. His destiny indeed played him like a joke.. Just how much he hoped for them to cross paths again; but now that Abby was right in front of him, he felt too uncomfortable to say anything..

Was it the ring that broke his heart? Or was it the fact that the person he loved the most, the person who taught him to be himself didn't even recognize him..

They both just sat in silence.. He wasn't able to say anything and he was unsure why Abby wasn't saying anything..

Once again it was all quiet, only the sound of raindrops could be heard..

"So how long have you been working here?" Abby finally spoke..

Maybe Jake shouldn't have prayed for them to start a conversation.. Who knew a few words can make someone feel so many emotions at once..

"3 years"

They replied with a nod.. "Then.. I'll be looking forward to work with you"

Only if thoughts had a voice, Abby would know how much their every single word was affecting him..

In the end, Jake was nothing but the victim of his own cruel fate.. Something he still can not change.. If it was still his 18-year-old self, he would probably be wishing for a miracle or something magical, but he was now too old for that.. He knew giving himself fake hopes would only hurt him even more.. There was no use..

'As long as they're happy' he thought..

That's exactly what he told himself years ago..

He could've reminded her and introduced himself once again.. But he who curse himself for being the cursed one, wouldn't want to enter their life once again and make it hard for them..

No one knew how hard it was for Jake to endure those hours that day.. It was still raining pretty heavily when he left his office..

Poor innocent raindrops felt like stones and needles on his skin for no reason.. He was anxious for no reason.. Through all these years, his anxiety was the only thing in his life that never changed..
