The Lost Hero

I flashed into my pocket dimension and looked around. The house was silent, for the most part. I could hear Selene and the girls talking faintly in the backyard.

Bill realized a few weeks ago that the outside world was pretty much the same as his before a zombie apocalypse and before he had been snatched away by the dark being. Bill now spent a lot of his time exploring New York and admiring the sights.

"Selene! Luna, Aurora!"

There was the sound of running steps as the girls made their way over to me. Selene was on their heels smiling as the twins gave me a hug on either side.

"They've been talking about how much fun they've had at the camp."

"Yeah! There Peleus who isn't as big as Tia, then there's all the activities and the food, and the lake, there also-"

"Sword fighting and archery." Luna finished for her sister who pouted.

"That's good to hear girls, no one is giving you any trouble right?"

"No dad, they've all treated us like any other since you had that talk with them." Aurora responded.

"Good, how's your training coming along?"

"Amazing! We can beat nearly everyone in camp in swordplay and archery." Luna said excitedly.

"What about the hunt? The girls treat you alright there?"

"Yeah dad, Atalanta is teaching us loads."

"None of them are trying to fill you with biased opinion are they?"

Selene answered for her. "Hardly, I think they're too scared of you and their new Lady to really mess with our daughters."

I hummed. "Good, they may be good fighters but they are a rash and impulsive bunch."

"Aunty Lena keeps them in line though." Luna defended.

"Still, don't go around buying into everything they say."

Selene gave me a knowing smirk before nudging the girls back towards the house. The twins complained for a bit but reluctantly walked away.

"Your father and I will join you after a moment. I just need to talk with him." Selene told Aurora who had stopped to look back.

Aurora nodded in response and jogged off to follow her sister who was already at the door. I turned to Selene with a smile and pulled her into my arms. We shared a passionate kiss but she pushed me away as my hands snaked to cup her ass.

"Not now Blake, the girls are watching by the window." She whispered.

I glanced over to the window and spotted the twins who ducked out of sight when they realized they had been spotted. I could hear the faint giggling coming from the house.

"How have you been my love?"

"Recovered fully, it took a while to get my bearings back. My time in Tartarus reminded me that even if I am immortal and powerful, I can still be defeated."

"Never again." I sighed and pulled her into another embrace.

"You can't always be there to protect me Blake. You know that. I'm not going to sit around and do nothing while you go out and have adventures."

"I would never do that to you. You can take care of yourself obviously. Tartarus was a special case."

Selene nodded. "I wouldn't have found my way out easily. I understand."

"Not only that but I had to go there anyway. Apparently Gaia stirring has caused monsters to come back more frequently. I had to deal with them personally."

"Well, enough of that. You're not here to just catch up with the girls and see me are you?"

"I see you guys everyday love, but even then I can't get enough of my family."

"So what else are you here for?"

I quickly explained the situation to her, bringing up the fact that Artemis was in my inventory and that she was likely fucked in the head from her time in Tartarus. Selene listened closely and nodded along adding ideas on how to deal with the former goddess of the hunt. Eventually she managed to convince me to let her deal with Artemis on her own. Something about being a fellow woman and wanting to have words with the goddess who tried 'seduce' me.

I obliged and took out the unconscious goddess from my inventory and placed her in a conjured stone dias before dispelling everything keeping the goddess unconscious.

As the goddess began to stir I gave Selene one more kiss before flashing away back to Olympus. I had made a promise to Selene to come back in a few hours to pick up the goddess to return to Olympus.

The streets of Olympus had been slowly getting repaired with the help of demigods and minor gods. Annabeth had been contacted by Athena to help plan out the new city. Something the demigoddess had wanted for a while.

The citizens of Olympus greeted me amicably as I walked around for a bit before finding myself at a bar of some kind. I stepped in and looked around, various beings were gathered in the establishment drinking and speaking with each other.

None paid me much attention other than the occasional respectful nod to their King. I sat at the bar and ordered a drink from the woman behind the bar.

"What can I get you My Lord?"

"What do you have?"

[Scene Break]

"So let me get this straight, your sister was carving her initials on a moose with an interspace toothbrush that was given to her by Svenge. Who's your guy's brother in law, living in Oslo. Svenge is a dentist but also stars in obscure Norwegian blockbusters?"

"Yeah, that's right so far. You might have heard of some of them actually. They're actually pretty popular, the movies I mean."

"Right, but what the hell does this have to do with you becoming the God of Unfortunate Deaths?"

"Well Freydis, my sister, was bitten by the moose. She died several weeks later."

"From the moose bite getting infected?"

"No, she was hit by a tram while crossing the street."

"You're giving me a headache."

"It's not that hard to follow."

"Rey, none of that story has anything to do with how you became a minor god."

"Is that what we were talking about?"

"What the fuck? What else would we be talking about?"

"My bad, I just get distracted sometimes… did I ever tell you about this one time I got roped into a circus run by llamas?"

I let out a sigh and rubbed my eyes; "I'm gonna go get some rest before you drag me off on one of these adventures you've been talking about all day."

"Right, don't fall in." He waved.

Adonis Reynaldo was a patron at the bar I had met and struck up a conversation with. At first the minor deity had been funny at least until he had one too many drinks, then he went off on tangents about the most random things. I didn't even think he knew who I was. Which was refreshing since he didn't go groveling and addressing me with nothing but honorifics. I made my way out of the bar and into the streets of Olympus. The sun was now setting showing me how long I had been in the bar.

'Right, I should check on the camp Selene should have brought the girls back already.'

One teleport later and I was standing in the middle of some chaotic commotion surrounded by demigods. A few jumped back and screamed, startled by my sudden appearance.

"What the hell is going on here?" I asked.

Annabeth came running up to me with tears in her eyes.

She looked like she had been crying for some time.

"Annabeth, what's going on?"

"It's Percy, he's gone."

"What?"

"He disappeared from his cabin last night. No one has seen him. Not even Chiron or any of the other campers."

"I'll go look."

"Please help him, it's not like him to just disappear."

I had a feeling I knew exactly what had happened. I flashed over to Olympus and summoned the council with a clap of thunder. One by one the Olympians appeared in various states of disarray.

Some had been called in the middle of whatever they had been doing. Demeter looked like she had been gardening, typical. Hades and Persephone looked a bit ruffled. Hermes looked like he was covered in postage, and Apollo looked like he had been in the middle of an orgy. I looked at the sun god distastefully before taking a seat on my throne.

"You're probably wondering why I've summoned you here in such short notice."

"Or no notice." Muttered Apollo who paled when I glared at him.

"It has come to my attention that despite your own stupid rules about not interacting with the mortal world one of you has decided to fuck around."

Everyone was silent and looking at each other. Hestia stilled and looked back to me from where she was tending the hearth.

"What?"

"Hestia, you're one of the few in this council that I actually like. Please tell me you've noticed what has happened in Camp Half-Blood?"

She winced before glancing at Hera who shook her head frantically. That was enough for me to shoot the former queen a hateful glance before turning back to the Olympians.

"So it was Hera…"

"Please Lord Corvinus, it wa-"

She was interrupted by the arrival of Selene and Lena who took their seats while looking around at the room.

"What's happened?" Asked Selene.

"Hera here," the goddess paled. "Has decided to kidnap a demigod."

Whispers filled the room and Hera looked between Poseidon and I in fear further confirming my suspicions.

"That's right, she has taken a child from camp to suit her own needs."

"Bu-"

I raised a hand to silence her before gesturing towards Poseidon who had been about to speak.

"Lord Corvinus, who has she taken."

The sea god seemed to have his own suspicions. I smirked at Hera before answering Poseidon.

"It seems you have your own suspicions. Unfortunately they are true. She has taken your son, who, despite being a demigod is still a prince of the seas."

Poseidon's eyes turned stormy and his power filled the room. Hera paled further and inched away from the angry god.

"Relax Poseidon, before you go and give her a thrashing I say we have her tell us what exactly she has planned."

The sea god nodded and turned to Hera waiting for a response. Hera gulped and looked around for support. Sadly, for her at least, none came. She sighed and began to speak albeit quietly.

"Perseus has a great destiny to fulfill, I sent him to the other camp to make connections for the upcoming battle with the Earth Mother."

All hell broke loose, Poseidon jumped from his throne in an attempt to strangle Hera while Hades tried valiantly to hold him back. Hephaestus had a manic grin on his face at the sight while Apollo and Hermes furiously whispered amongst themselves. Aphrodite tried to sneak away but was pulled back in by Demeter who I gave a nod of approval to.

"ENOUGH! I will hear what else she has to say. What is this other camp?"

"Lord Co-" Apollo started.

"No fucking beating around the bush, I want the full story without any interuptions, am I fucking clear?"

They all nodded and I gestured to Hestia who sighed and began to explain. They went on for nearly two hours talking about their split personalities. It turned out that once the Romans came they were adopted as the Romans own gods which split their personalities for some odd reason. Then Hestia went on to explain how the Roman and Greek demigods never got along and how they eventually had to split the two camps before blocking the memories of each camp's awareness of the other. Hestia explained that it had been this way for centuries and that the few run in with each other the campers had been memory wiped for their own safety.

Hera then spoke up explaining that the demigods needed to unite to defeat Gaia and the giants she was sure to raise in her wake. She explained how the giants could only be killed by a demigod and a god working together.

"That has got to be the dumbest fucking thing I have ever heard in my life."

A few Olympians looked a bit insulted but I didn't care. I continued to speak.

"So, as gods, not only did you keep them from their siblings but you also never encouraged peace between them before today?"

"T- they would have killed each other!" Hera protested.

"NOT IF YOU HAD FUCKING DID SO YOURSELF YOU FUCKING IDIOT!"

I was fuming, the other Olympians were deep in thought. Selene and Lena came by my throne to calm me down.

"I'm surrounded by idiots."

"It's hard to see how they managed to last this long." Muttered Selene.

"I need to return to my hunt, they need to know what's happening."

"That's fine Lena, train them well the stupidity shown here today only tells me that war may be closer than we think."

"I will take them to the other camp, Atalanta and Phoebe know how to get there. Apparently Artemis used to take them there once in a while since she found the Roman camp more bearable than the Greek camp."

"Keep safe, and should you run into something you can't win against without taking heavy losses I want you to retreat.

I handed her a bundle of rope. "Here, it's been enchanted to take you back to my pocket dimension. Have everyone of your hunters grab onto it before activating it with the passphrase 'safe haven'."

She took it from me and smiled appreciatively. "Thank you my love." She gave me a kiss before flashing out.

I turned back to the other Olympians who were still arguing. I launched another bolt of lighting shaking the room when it struck the floor.

"Enough, we need to figure out what we're going to do now that Hera has decided to speed things along."

"We can not interact wit-" Hades started.

"Fuck the ancient laws, you yourselves know that you can't kill the giants without the help of the demigods. What? Are you really going to wait till they're all dying before doing something again?"

Some of them looked down in shame. I sighed and stood up from my throne pulling Selene close to me.

"Figure your shit out, I'm going to go talk to my sister."

Just as I teleported away I barely managed to hear Apollo speaking to Hermes.

"I don't think he likes us very much."
