Climbing up a flight of stairs to an open room with multiple doors leading to multiple places stood the Jarl, the steward, and a Guard next to a table with a map and two full bookshelves situated on one side of the room.
And after a long and boring conversation, I and the members of the inner circle were hired to take down a dragon attacking a watchtower outside the city with a dozen guards for a few thousand septims, to which the Companions agreed.
Joining me was Aela the huntress, Skjor, Farkas, Vilkas, and to my surprise, Kodlak Whitemane who said that he wanted to 'Stretch these old bones'.
Now waiting outside the walls of Whiterun, our group of honorable warriors met up with the dozen guards that would be assisting us in taking down a Dragon, my only hope was that it was not that tyrannical black dragon that obliterated Helgen.
Soon enough as we walked along the road that led to the north, we could see a stone tower in flames with multiple burnt corpses lying around.
As we got closer and closer until we were just a hundred feet away, Aela spoke.
"I don't like the look of this..."
"Aye," The other inner circle members agreed.
Suddenly, two guards that were hiding within the tower ran out and shouted, "No! Get back! It's still here somewhere! Oh, gods! Here it comes again!" Shouted a Guard covered in ash and blood before paling with fear.
Hearing this we all soon heard a thunderous roar as a dragon flew towards us and the tower from the mountains.
Seeing that it wasn't even a fourth of the size of the Black Dragon I couldn't help but sigh from relief before focusing on the dragon.
Pulling out our bows, the inner circle, the guards, and even the Houscarl of the Jarl who tagged along, summoned some lightning spells.
Then, we let our arrows fly once the dragon got close enough.
The dragon roared as a few of our arrows pierced the weak points in its scales and the dark elf's lighting crackled as her magic struck the dragon's scales revealing that it barely did any damage to the dragon.
Suddenly the dragon took in a deep breath before a wave of flames came flying towards us!
"𝘠𝘰𝘭 𝘛𝘰𝘰𝘳 𝘚𝘩𝘶𝘭!" Shouted the dragon as the wave of flames flew at us with power.
We all quickly jumped out of the way into cover behind rubble and anything large enough to hide behind, but a guard was unlucky enough to not react in time and by the time the flames passed, all that was left was a burnt and shriveled up corpse.
"Stay in cover!" One of the companions shouted.
"Aim for the eyes!" Shouted Aela as she kept firing arrows towards the dragon's eyes.
As we spread out across the area to prevent the dragon from having another opportunity of killing all of us at once, we started firing arrows upon arrows at the dragon that was flying overhead.
[A/N: Let's be honest, when the dragons landed on the ground in the game they were just asking to die, especially when they had an advantage in the sky AWAY from all of the pesky mortals waiting below with melee weaponry and not to mention how hard it was to actually hit them with arrows when they were flying]
Eventually one of our arrows, specifically Aela's arrow struck the dragon in one of its eyes, causing it to roar in pain before crashing down into the ground with force!
Charging forward the companions and some of the guards drew their melee weaponry and began stabbing into the dragon's thick hide between its scales while I dashed to its front where I began pelting its eyes with every spell in my arsenal.
Suddenly it shouted once again and after I dodged another wave of flames, I pulled out my sword and dashed towards its face, thrusting my sword deep into its remaining functioning eye.
As my sword dug deep into the dragon's eye and into its brain, the others just continued to madly slash and stab the dragon.
The dragon continuously tried to get us of it but with all the blood it was losing it was becoming weaker by the moment.
At first, it still had the strength to get up and swing its tail and wings around but now?
Its strength can't even help it stand anymore and it's now lying on the ground dead from blood loss.
Not to mention the brain damage I caused which was probably the main reason it died.
Suddenly the dragon began to glow and burn!
"Back away!" Shouted the guards and the Housecarl.
As everyone backed away we watched as the dragon burned away into dust before a blinding stream of energy flowed into me from the dragon's carcass.
