Chapter 30: I am the Dragonborn

A year seemed to pass by in Skyrim and in the real world since I became something called a Dragonborn.

I have learned that Dragonborn, or Dovahkiin, in the dragon tongue, are mortals that have the blood and soul of a Dragon and are considered to be the children or 'blessed' of Akatosh, the Dragon God of Time.

And it appeared that as the only Dragonborn in Skyrim, it was my duty to slay the dragons that plagued this land, which I did…

I have slain over a dozen different dragons and absorbed their souls and then used said souls to learn many words that were used in the Th'um, a type f magic that was used by Nords and is said to have been a gift from Kyne which helped Man and Mer fight back against the Tyranny of the Dragons who ruled over them with cruelty.

So once the Dragonborns appeared, they revolted against their overlords and actually won!

Those that remained of the Dragon Cult retreated into tombs and became Draugr…

But almost everyone forgot about this bit of info, and I only found out about it after asking an entity named the Augur of Dunlain from the midden located under the College of Winterhold.

Besides that, I have eradicated the Dark Brotherhood, took control of the Thieves Guild, became the Archmage of the College of Winterhold, and Harbinger of the Companions.

I have also journeyed to High Hrothgar and learned the 'Way of the Voice' from the masters of the voice in the old monetary.

I have done much in this year in the game, but I felt it was far from over, I have heard the news of some kind of Cult appearing on Solstheim and some kind of Vampire Hunting Order appearing near Riften that started a war with the hidden vampires across Skyrim, which once they revealed themselves revealed that there were a lot more vampires out there than everyone thought, I even got some news from the Thieves guild that the headquarters of the Vigilant of Stendarr, which was a group of Daedra Hunters, was annihilated within a single night.

Those that remained of the Vigilant of Stendarr have chosen to join this 'Dawnguard' which was the name of the Vampire Hunting Order.

Other than that, due to my presence in Whiterun, it has greatly flourished, I have even managed to set up a small school to teach the residents of Whiterun magic with my authority as Archmage of the Winterhold College.

And with Whiterun already being the center of trade in Skyrim, it only continued to grow as I protected it from dragons and even trained an Elite Dragon Hunter Squad from some of the guards and mercenaries living in Whiterun.

They know how to cast magic, use enchanted crossbows, and move agile in heavy steel plate armor and properly dodge a Dragon's Shout.

I even had the honor of teaching them the "Way of the Voice".

Although I taught them the Thu'um, they were still far from being able to shout a single word in the dragon tongue.

Now onto my more pressing concerns.

Alduin...

That black-scaled-ass motherfucker has been a pain in my ass all year, with him bringing dragons to life every week I find myself having to leave town to go take care of the new threat, which gets annoying real quick, even if consuming a dragons soul does strengthen mine.

Luckily for me, I found an Ex-Blade in Riverwood which just so happened to be one of the owners from the Inn which I felt was a soldier a while ago.

I then went on to reunite her and her older friend who was also an Ex-Blade named Esbern from Riften.

The Blades were some sort of Dragon Slaying group that helped Dragonborns kill dragons, but for some reason unknown to me(since I did not bother to read about it), they were disbanded then hunted down and killed.

After that, they happily joined my Elite Dragon Hunters and became trainers for the new generation of Dragon Slayers.

Later on, when they learned about my Alduin problem, they told me of a place hidden in the mountains near Markarth that was some kind of Temple that 'contained the answer to defeat Alduin'.

So I planned a trip that would take place in a week to visit said temple just to see if it really did have the answer to help me kill the annoying bastard known as Alduin.

Other than that, I think it's time to return to the real world.
