Chapter 6: Failure

*I recommend listening to Total War- Shogun 2 OST - good death while reading*

The assault was launched after the coalition disabled the whirlpool traps, stopped the volley of explosives, and the tsunamis. As Takeda and his team waited, they received the signal from a nearby observation boat that the operation had begun.

The Shinobi on board silently prepared themselves for the mission that lay ahead. The sound of battle grew louder as they drew closer to the Uzumaki clan's village, and the clan's defenses finally began to crumble under the relentless assault of the coalition's army.

The Shinobi's hearts began to race as they neared the beaches, knowing that the success of their mission would depend on their skill and stealth. With each passing moment, the tension grew until finally, they reached the beaches and began to execute the first step; infiltrate the village.

The battle raged on around them, with the sounds of clashing swords, explosions, ground breaking apart by numerous Jutsu, and battle cries filling the air. But Takeda and his team remained focused, their eyes fixed on the breach that the army had made.

With a nod from Takeda, the Shinobi silently made their way towards the tower, slipping past the Uzumaki's defenses. They moved quickly and efficiently.

However, things did not go as planned. "Damn, they spotted us," Takeda said as he eyed the near squad-sized Shinobi following them. "Change of plan, do not separate under any circumstances. Our only remaining chance is a fast and efficient kidnapping."

Takeda and his team moved quickly, ducking behind buildings and blending into the shadows to avoid detection. They knew that time was of the essence and they had to act fast before the Uzumaki's reinforcements arrived.

But with each passing moment, it became clear that their cover had been blown. The Uzumaki Shinobi were no longer fooled, and more and more Redheads moved into the village to use the terrain to their advantage.

Takeda knew that they had to come up with a new plan if they were to succeed in their mission. "Alright, listen up," he said, addressing his team. "We need to find a way to get to the Uzumaki heir without attracting more attention than necessary. We can't afford to engage in any battles. Our only chance is to move quickly and efficiently."

The team nodded in agreement, their eyes fixed on Takeda as he outlined their new plan. They would use clones to lure the Uzumaki's into a trap and finish them off quickly before continuing with the plan.

As they got into an alley, every one of them made their special clone. Takeda and two Iwa-nin made Mud clones, while two Kiri-nin spat a large amount of water to create water clones, proving their efficiency in Suiton Jutsu's.

As they waited in the alley, they prepared for their followers to arrive. As they arrived, all hell broke loose.

Takeda and his team quickly sprang into action, engaging in a fierce battle with the Uzumaki Shinobi. Despite outnumbering them, Takeda's team had a hard time holding their ground. The three Shinobi they were fighting were incredibly efficient, likely at the Jonin level or higher.

The battle raged on, with Jutsu being thrown, Kunai and shuriken flying, and swords clashing. Although Takeda's team seemed to gain an advantage, they did not have much time, as more enemies would know of their scheme with two of their five enemies that were tailing them were still missing.

Takeda quickly realized that they had to retreat, but he also knew that they would have to make a sacrifice to do so.

"Soru and Gekko, you stay here. When we're near the tower, come with us," Takeda ordered, his voice firm and commanding. The Iwa-nin and the Kiri-nin both looked surprised but quickly nodded in agreement.

"Affirmative!" they replied in unison.

As they prepared to leave, one of the enemies shouted, "Don't let them near the Uzukage Tower!"

Takeda smirked, pleased that the intel division didn't give false information. He thought to himself, 'Good, they didn't fuck up this time.'

As they made their way towards the tower, the sounds of battle started echoed through different part of the village. Takeda and his remaining team members had to move quickly, scanning the surrounding area for any sign of danger. When they arrived at the tower, Takeda noticed the absence of guards, which was unusual.

He then saw the rest of his team speeding towards them, with a lone Uzumaki trailing behind.

'Where is the rest..?' Takeda wondered, confused as to why the Uzumaki was alone. However, he knew that he had to remain focused and alert, so he stopped wondering with his thoughts and started to focus.

There was jokes that the army loved to share about Uzumakis, especially about their... unorthodox use of seals. One of the jokes was that every door was protected by a seal, and Takeda had a feeling that this might be true.

The rest of the team arrived and slammed the door, which was probably enforced with a seal. They waited to see if the rumors were true, and to their surprise, they were as he heard a loud crash without the door being damaged.

A Kiri-nin snorted, "Damn, it wasn't all a joke after all."

His partner, another Kiri-nin, responded, "Anything is possible with those Gingers, fucking Uzumakis."

Takeda then gave the order, "Alright, let's move. Soru, you were in the Bakuha Butai, right?"

(Explosion corps)

Soru nodded proudly, "Yes, sir. Always been, and always be."

"Alright," Takeda said, pointing to the door leading to the bunker. "Fuck this door up for us, if you please."

Soru nodded and quickly got to work. He formed several hand seals, and then slammed his hand multiple times onto the seal protecting the door. There was numerous loud explosions, and the door was blown off its hinges.

They ran down, everyone of them running to their maximum capacity, until the entered a dark room.

In there, there was the heir, being hold by a kid, probably a Genin in uniform.

And the 10 guard that they thought were missing.

Takeda's heart raced as he glanced towards their feet, and watched the Uzumaki clan begin to form a complicated series of hand seals. He knew their reputation well and had no doubt that they were attempting a teleportation jutsu, damn he could bet his legs and eyes that it was the case. He couldn't allow them to take the heir.

With a sense of urgency, he charged towards the child, his sword at the ready. He swung with all his might, aiming to take down the young boy and stop the Uzumakis in their tracks.

However, as Takeda's sword came crashing down, he felt his strike miss its intended target. His eyes widened in shock as he realized that the Uzumakis had successfully completed their jutsu.

In the blink of an eye, Takeda, his team, and the two kids disappeared from the face of the elemental nation.

And at that moment, The Uzumakis had proven once again, that they were not to be underestimated.
