Speed and Steel

Barry couldn't resist the urge to clap, wiping a fake tear from the corner of his eye, "You give the best speeches, man."

Diana and Victor chuckled in response, Jordan holding back his laughter.

"So, one more thing", Barry said getting serious. "How does this plan involve you."

Bruce meets the collective gaze of the justice league and responds with a determined tone, "I'll be coordinating and overseeing from here. I'll provide tactical support when needed, analyze incoming data and adjust the plan as needed."

The following couple of days was full of preparation. Bruce helped Victor make extra adjustments to his system, modifying it for seamless integration with the Batcave as well as increasing the output of his firepower.

After working on that he called for Barry.

"Can I take a look at your suit?" he asks.

"Sure." Barry fetched the suit.

Raising his brow as he took one glance at the suit, Bruce thought, 'Just as I expected. Impractical.'

"Barry, do you mind if we fine-tune your suit in preparation for the coming battle?"

Barry looked up, a mixture of excitement and curiosity in his eyes, "Sure Bruce. What do you have in mind?"

"Follow me then."

He led Barry to a sophisticated workstation and showed him a prototype of a flash suit.

"This is a prototype suit I've been working on. It's designed to enhance your speed and provide additional protection. Let's see how we can integrate some of its features into current gear."

Bruce began analyzing Barry's suit, scanning its structural integrity. He hung it up on a mannequin while he prepared to work on it.

"I've prepared a couple of components that we're going to working with."

"Firstly, let's reinforce the suit's durability. Darkseid's forces won't be holding back, and we need you at your fastest without worrying about wear and tear."

He handed Barry a set of specialized nanofiber components. "These materials are lightweight but incredibly resilient. They'll enhance your suit's durability without compromising speed."

Barrt attached them as instructed and the components, upon attachment, spread across the suit like it was being soaked in water. The suit absorbed the nanofiber properties, giving it a more metallic look, although it still retained it's flexibility.

As the modifications proceeded, Bruce continued. "Now, for speed augmentation. I've developed micro thrusters that can be strategically placed on your suit. These will provide additional bursts of speed when needed, giving you an extra edge in maneuverability."

Barry, with a mixture of awe and gratitude, eagerly integrated the microtrusters into his suit.

"This is amazing man. Funny how I never thought of this method of speed augmentation before."

Bruce nodded in reply, his focus glued to the work at hand. "We're not done yet. Darkseid's tech may interfere with your communications systems. I have an upgraded earpiece, tweaked to a frequency-hopping algorithm. It would ensure secure communication channels even in the midst of interference."

He slotted in the earpiece this time. It was a golden colored lighting emblem. He exchanged it with the previous one.

Bruce then approached a display case, showcasing an enhanced HUD system. "This HUD will provide real time data feeds, giving you instant information on Darkseid's movements and potential threats. It also integrates facial recognition to distinguish friends from foe in battle."

Barry fought so hard to control his inner excitement, 'This is like having my own personal control center on the go. wtf!'

Bruce's stern expression softened a little, holding a rare glimpse of mentorship. "Barry your speed is a powerful asset, but technology can enhance and compliment it. With these modifications, you'll be more than just fast, you'll be precise, adaptable, and better prepared for what's coming"

"I can't thank you enough Bruce. This is beyond anything I've imagined."

Clasping a hand on his shoulder, he said cooly, "Just doing my part to make sure the fastest man alive has every advantage. Now let's make sure the rest of the team is ready. Darkseid won't wait and neither can we."
