Fated Elven Queen

Aika had a hard life… She was born with the gift of magic, being capable of executing and mastering most styles of magic, which is very rare since most of them are apt to do one style of magic. The covenant where her family belonged took advantage of her gift, training her with methods that were painful physically and mentally. When her mother found out what they were doing to her daughter, she left the covenant. However, Aika’s mother was raised all her life inside a covenant and never had to depend on herself to live. Her father was a common human, he met her mother by chance in a coffee shop and when he found out how she lived, he took the opportunity of never having to work again to sustain anyone. But when she decided to leave the covenant, he became worse and worse, drinking too much, having affairs, and being abusive, until he abandoned them when her mother got pregnant again. Aika had to start to work very young to help sustain her family, but the worst came when her mother died of cancer when Aidan, her little brother, was only 2. At only 18 years old, she had to face many battles to sustain her little brother and raise him with love. After many hard times, Aika finally found a job good enough to sustain her and Aidan, working in Alpha Airways. She just didn’t imagine that her life would have a huge turnover there too.

Surprises

On the next day, Odir arrives at the airport, and decides to send Aika a message:

'Hey! Good morning. I'm at the airport, in front of Starducks.' He waits for her answer.

'Good morning. On my way.'

He orders one more coffee, and waits until she comes walking elegantly. Many men turn their heads to follow her.

"Good morning, sir." She greets.

"Sir? I felt like an elder now, Aika." He chuckles. He will not let her treat him so distant like that.

"Sorry. It was a matter of respect. Here. Is the seat good?" She says, giving him the boarding pass. He checks it.

"It's perfect." He nods, and gives a coffee to her. He takes a sip of his own coffee." How is work today?" He asks.

"Thanks. It's all right. I'm glad there's no contingency. I haven't slept yet." She says more to herself, then shoves the peeling hot coffee down her throat to help her stay active.

"I imagine… When is your day off?"

"Tomorrow."

"Rest well tonight, then."

"Aika, do you copy? I need you. Go PV." They hear on the radio. She changes the channel.

"Follow." Aika answers, then has another nice sip of the steamy coffee.

They hear about a problem with a reservation code. Aika tells what to do, but the agent still says it's not working.

"I'm arriving at the gate. Send me the code through a message. Ask the pax to wait a moment." She looks at Odir.

"I'll go with you." He says and she nods.

They pass the security together, then go to the gate. Odir watches Aika how fast she works, and how much of the system she knows.

"Anne, everything done." She says on the radio.

"Thanks, Aika." They hear the answer.

Glenn and Jack appear at the gate, greeting Odir happily. Aika enjoys her coffee until the last drop, she is tired, and can't wait to go home. The boarding begins, and Odir waits to board last.

"See you, Aika. Thanks for everything." Odir says before going down the finger.

"Thank you too… Have a nice flight." She answers.

He sits on the first seat of the executive class. He could notice the eyes of the flight attendant on him already.

At the same time, he remembers that Aika didn't show that reaction to him, and that made him frustrated, feeling he should have tried more. But then, again, he thinks why should he care about her anyway, he can have anyone.

He sighs, then pulls on his personal cellphone to look after her on Instram. He gasps when sees her pictures and videos.

She has very different and exotic pictures in the middle of forests, and mountains, playing video games, playing as a DJ or in a band.

There are some pictures that show more of her skin, that she looks like a model.

"Shit. She's so damn hot." He thinks.

He clicks the follow button. Several hours later, after he's back to his own home, he notices she followed him back, then he goes to check her pictures again. Her way of living reminds him of a very naturalistic person.

Elves once were naturalistic, but nowadays most are living in big capitals since they're very rich. He feels a connection to her that he can't explain…

Aika is called to have a private talk with Grant after several days. He gives her a big smile as she waits for him to talk.

"You will be going to Saint York in two days for training." He tells her.

"All right… Training for what?" She asks.

"To be a super." He answers happily, shocking her." Yes! Apparently, the CEO liked your work, and how you lead the team with us. He told Greg to make you super before you decide to look for a better job, because you're more qualified than any other he ever saw. Congratulations. I'm proud of you." He really is happy for her, she deserves it more than anyone.

Aika takes a deep breath, still shaken with the news.

"It will be a whole week. Do you have someone to take care of Aidan?" He asks worriedly.

"Yeah… I'll talk to a friend. Is this really happening? Did I get a promotion?" She asks with her mind buzzing.

"Yeah! Now you can't call me Bosley anymore." He tells, and they laugh out loud." You deserve this, Aika. You're the best. The new contract will be sent to your e"mail, and you will sign it digitally. Read it carefully."

After listening to some more few directives, she rides back home happy to know her salary will rise, and she will be able to provide more to Aidan. She buys pizza for them to celebrate together.

Aika calls an Enchantress friend, she's older but sweet as a grandmother to take care of Aidan while she's out training at Saint York. After Aidan falls asleep, Aika decides to send Odir a message.

'I got the news today from Grant that thanks to you, I got a promotion… Thank you very much! I'll keep doing my best. Thank you' She also sends a message to Gregory.

'Don't need to thank me. You deserve it for working so much. Believe me, this is the beginning of what you can be. You have potential.' He answers. She smiles.

'Thank you.'

'Told your brother the news?'He asks through another message. She really hopes he's not a player with her.

'We had pizza together to celebrate. He ate so much he became a sleeping log.'

'LOL! How sweet. How old is he?'He really laughed as he was sitting on his bed.

'7.'

His eyes opened wide, impressed.

"Wow… Her mother died when she was 18, now she's 23. 5 years. Her brother was only 2… No questions now of why she's so mature at a young age. She had to be for her brother." He tells himself.

'I admire you.' It is true.

'Thank you. Good night!' She sends. He felt a pang of sadness. He wished to talk more.

'Good night! When you come to SY, tell me, so I can show you my CVO.' He sends and sighs.

'All right… :)' She sends, chuckling.

"This guy is dangerous." She tells herself.

Many women would die to have this contact with him, but she has too much to lose if she falls into temptation.

Even more because she hates superficial people, and for being a rich elf, she's sure he has many women crawling for him. The sight is disgusting.

She arrives in Saint York, and doesn't get in contact with him, focusing on her training.

Friday night at the end of the day, Aika is waiting for the elevator, so she can go back to the hotel. She's planning on going to the market to get some beers and snacks when the elevator door opens...

She gets impressed with the face she sees. He also gets impressed, feeling his heartbeat rise like a jump in his throat.

"Aika! Nice to see you. You came for your training?" Odir asks.

"Hey! Yes. It's being great." She answers, getting inside.

Then some other people get inside too, and they start a conversation with Odir. Aika stays quiet, only listening, being grateful she doesn't have to share an elevator alone with him.

On the main floor, Aika excuses herself to leave, and Odir excuses himself too to follow her. Since he's always stopped by someone, it was hard to pick up with her.

When he finds her, she's leaving the building, looking at her phone.

"Hey. Want a ride?" He asks. She looks back at him again.

"Erm. Not needed, thanks. I'm going to the market first, before going to the hotel otherwise." She answers.

"Going to drink in your hotel room by yourself? Let's go have some drinks, then. I'll pick you up at 8 in your hotel with my CVO. Where's your hotel?" He asks more incisively. She lost her air after hearing him mention the CVO.

"Grand Palace Hotel. But don't you have plans?" She asks.

"Now, I do. Come. The Grand Palace is near here. I'll leave you there." He tells, already walking away, not giving her a chance to talk back.

She follows him while he's asking himself why this urgency of not letting her go. Aika remembered his richness when she sees his car.

It's a red sports car, very expensive and luxurious. He presses a button to turn on the engine. When he accelerates, she gives a low moan, making him look at her, desiring to hear that again.

"The sound of this engine is good." She says with a pure smile. He smiles, seeing her smile.

"I can see you like engines. This one has a sexy sound, don't you think?"

"Yeah. But not as sexy as the sound of a bike. Bikes are my favorite."

"Bikes are wilder. I like it." He says, imagining if she's wild too." What about the sound of an airplane?" He asks.

"Oh. It's glorifying. Overwhelming. I think I would cry every time I flew if I was a pilot." She answers, and he chuckles.

"It's overwhelming, indeed. Every time in the cockpit, when I see the clouds and the infinite blue, it's amazing." He tells with a tender smile.

"Are you a pilot too?" She asks, noticing his tender smile, imagining he must love flying.

"Yeah. But not commercial planes. Only private ones. I have two personal planes." He says, and Aika makes a silent 'o' again.

This man is so rich that makes her feel like a commoner, even more being an elf.

"Since when are you here?"

"3 days." She answers softly.

"All that? Why didn't you tell me sooner?"

"I didn't want to bother." Actually, she was scared of getting closer.

"If I thought you would bother, I wouldn't give you my private number." He says, with a smirk.

"Well, a woman like me trying to get in contact with a guy like you, who must have an agenda so big, will always feel like bothering." She tells, trying to point out their differences.

"Now, you know. You can call me, send messages whenever you want. I'll answer when I can if I'm busy." He says, stepping on the break slowly and stopping in front of the hotel." See you at 8." He smiles at her. She nods, still not sure if she should accept this.

As Odir drives back to his home, he thinks he was really pushing onto her, and made himself clear that he wants something.

He noticed she was probably trying to avoid attention to her or having any kind of relationship with anyone in the company. She's actually right about that, but he's still wondering why he's so interested in her like that.

He feels he can't let her go. It's something that he can't explain, he's fascinated and wants to watch her closely. He is someone who wouldn't hunt a woman, the women hunt him first, and he needs to be active to at least know more about Aika. He never had to do that.
