Fated Elven Queen

Aika had a hard life… She was born with the gift of magic, being capable of executing and mastering most styles of magic, which is very rare since most of them are apt to do one style of magic. The covenant where her family belonged took advantage of her gift, training her with methods that were painful physically and mentally. When her mother found out what they were doing to her daughter, she left the covenant. However, Aika’s mother was raised all her life inside a covenant and never had to depend on herself to live. Her father was a common human, he met her mother by chance in a coffee shop and when he found out how she lived, he took the opportunity of never having to work again to sustain anyone. But when she decided to leave the covenant, he became worse and worse, drinking too much, having affairs, and being abusive, until he abandoned them when her mother got pregnant again. Aika had to start to work very young to help sustain her family, but the worst came when her mother died of cancer when Aidan, her little brother, was only 2. At only 18 years old, she had to face many battles to sustain her little brother and raise him with love. After many hard times, Aika finally found a job good enough to sustain her and Aidan, working in Alpha Airways. She just didn’t imagine that her life would have a huge turnover there too.

Vampy

Driving through the dark streets from the neighborhood she lives, Aika sees the vampire following her rubbing and jumping in the dark.

Normal eyes wouldn't see that movements, and cameras would appear only a blurry movement. Even not seeing, Aika can sense the vampire following her.

She knows that neighborhood well, so she attracts the vampire to a dark alley. Knowing he will like the fact they will not be seen.

She stops her Harley, removes her helmet and moves one of her legs to the other side and lazily sits and simply waits.

"I'm impressed. You're actually something. You noticed me." She hears a male's voice.

"I'm sure my smell is alluring to you. But I don't think you only want my blood, vampire. What do you want?" She speaks.

She stands and walks to the middle of the street, watching the vampire walking to her direction licking his lips. He can see she's not affected by his presence and not scared at all. She looks into his eyes like saying she's not the mouse the cat hunts.

"I love your attitude. Higher the spirit, more delicious the blood is. But I'm here to make a deal." He says, stopping in front of her.

"No deals."

"I heard you're a powerful witch. I want you by my side. We can rule this city together."

"Not interested. Go away."

"I know where you work. I'm sure you don't think you can be rich there."

"Everyone knows where I work. Did you think I was going to fear you for knowing where I work or live? Who sent you here? You don't look like a solo thing." She asks.

He chuckles. He passes his fingers on her arm and then tastes her scent from his fingers.

"You taste like heaven." He says, with his eyes full of interest.

"Like if you knew how heaven tastes." She laughs." I can see you came here just to waste my time. You have two options: You tell me who sent you here and who told you about me, then leave quietly to suck someone else. Or, you will taste heaven for real." She says, counting with her fingers.

"I told you already. I came after you because I want your power. Together we can rule this city. We won't need to worry about anyone."

She rolls her eyes. He hisses not liking her reaction.

"I can make you roll your eyes in other ways too. Through pleasure or through pain." He speaks more seriously.

"I believe you. Just a moment."

She takes her phone and calls someone through video. He hears the ringing making him furious.

"What do you think you're doing?" He asks.

"Calling a friend."

"Asking for help already?"

"For you, actually."

He tries to take her phone from her hand, but then he feels a pressure on his body and he can't move. He looks at her again and sees one of her hands raised to his direction.

"Hi, sweetheart. How are you doing?" A voice comes and a white man with blond hair comes to the screen. He has a tender smile.

"Hi, Viktor." The vampire's eyes got wide when he heard that name. "I'm not so good. Do you know him?" She says, pointing the camera to the vampire.

Viktor looks at the screen more serious.

"See if he has any tattoos. I don't remember his face." Viktor speaks.

Her eyes shines red quickly, like a red flash, and his clothes are burned to ashes, leaving him only with pants. The vampire is shocked.

Aika looks after any tattoos, he has many but she tries to find any that reminds of a vampire group tattoo. Then they spot a tattoo of two dots and cross.

"There it is. It's a new group of rebels." Viktor speaks.

Then Aika hears the wind whistling, she throws the vampire up and then circles her right arm, turning her body in a full 360º creating a wind barrier. Three other vampires hit on her barrier.

"You took long to come out and help your friend. You're all cowards. Let me put you on hold, Viktor." She giggles.

She puts her cellphone in her pocket, the vampires hiss at her and she just smiles at them. The four of them attack her, she knows they're way faster than her, so she raises her hands in the air and they all stop moving. Feeling like wind is holding them in place.

She moves her legs and kicks the ground, then earth come up and jails them by holding their wrists and legs to the ground.

She takes her phone again and point the camera at them.

"They were lurking around my place. The first one I showed you was inviting me to join them and rule the city." She says to Viktor.

"I see. Who told them about you?" Viktor asks.

"They chose to meet the heavens since they're not answering." She says.

"We heard from a weapon dealer about you. A lone witch with no covenant. We thought we could bring you to our side, but I can see you already have a side. We will leave you alone." The shirtless vampire speaks.

They could already see that they're no match for her. They can't move and even if they break the rock hard earth holding them with their strength, she will get them in no time.

"What gun dealer?" She asks.

The vampire sighs and clicks tongue.

"I suggest you to answer the question, boy. You have seen nothing yet." Viktor speaks.

The vampires look at her and feel the pressure of her presence. This witch is scaring the hell out of some of them.

"Dante. His name was Dante." Another vampire speaks quickly, with his voice trembling.

She comes closer to him, walking slowly and then squats in front of him. She sees his pupils wide after smelling her closely.

"You're a baby vampire. How cute you are." She says, then looks at the shirtless vampire." Is he telling the truth?" She asks.

"Yes." He answers.

"I know this Dante. I'll check this myself." Viktor speaks.

Aika stands up again and then moves her hands making the earth go back to place and release them.

"Listen carefully. What you heard is correct. I'm a lone witch. I will not join anything. Now, don't make me regret not killing you and don't come after me or send anyone after me. Because Viktor is not the one that will be hunting you, it will be me. And believe me when I say that you will WISH he would." She says, looking to all of them.

They nod, stepping away and letting her walk to her bike.

"Nice ink, by the way." She points at the shirtless vampire. "Talk later, Vik." She hangs off her phone.

She puts on her helmet and then drives away. She makes sure the vampires are not following her, and then she stops near the punks that were talking to the vampire.

The leader who signaled Aika comes to her and smiles, showing his golden and silver teeth and many golden necklaces with diamonds.

"Who was that guy?" He asks her.

"Have no idea, my friend. Thanks for the help." She says. She takes her wallet and takes the money she got paid that night.

He denies waving his hand.

"Nah, girl. You my homie. I saw what you did with that police officer. You didn't open your mouth about us and even tracked him off. Now on, you're family." He speaks. His partners nods in approval.

"Thanks, Elias. But you know I don't want to be part of anything."

"Yeah. I respect that. You right. Raising a boy to be good and respect where he comes from. Don't worry. We got your back. You trust me, I trust you, ma' girl."

She smiles and nods. Since she started living in that red zone area, she used that to her advantage. Creatures and people from the 'other' world don't show themselves to humans, and they know gangs are like ants. Easy to kill, but hard to end.

She goes back home, sighs, sitting on the couch and checking the time. It's already 4am, and 9am she has to bring at the airport again. She checks on Aidan, and he's asleep. She kisses his head, and he opens his eyes a little bit.

"Sis.. I was worried. You said you wouldn't be back so late." He says, sleepy and in a low voice.

"I know, bro. I'm sorry. Vampires were lurking around and had to trail them off." She softly speaks, rubbing his hair.

"Vampy will take care of it?" That's how he calls Viktor.

"He will. Don't worry. Sleep, bro. Rest."

She kisses him again, burns some herbs a little bit to create a calming scent for him.

That's how she needs to live since she ran away with Aidan. The underworld knows her, but she tries to keep a low profile and not getting mixed with anyone to keep Aidan protected.

She checks the protection spells she had put around the apartment. On each window and door, there are magical inscriptions that appear only when activated and also magical artifacts hanging on each of them.

She can't give any chance to be opened to an attack. Her past still follows her even if she keeps a low profile, and she needs to keep that way if she wants to keep Aidan safe...
