Raiden's search for the aliens that were the competitors of the Kroloteans wasn't long. He looked into some odd cases that had been happening all over America and noticed an increase in teenage runaways. Usually, most teenage runaway cases would end with them returning home in less than a week, but these ones were different. Many kids had never returned home, which was very unusual. This prompted Raiden to thoroughly investigate. His discovery revealed that the Light was kidnapping these people.

"LET US GO! HEY, COME ON, PLEASE!" screamed one of the kidnapped people.

Raiden managed to sneak in by pretending to be one of the kidnapped. He changed his appearance with a spell and allowed them to take him in. He found himself in a cage outside the pier.

'These are Manta's men, so they are Kaldur's people. They seem to have been the main force behind the kidnappings' Raiden thought to himself.

"Move the shipments! Now! Inside the pods, let's go! One for each pod," spoke a voice. It belonged to a woman called Tigress, the current leader of this operation. 'That's Artemis, huh? She's getting used to this villain role'

As he waited in the cage, suddenly two people sneakily landed inside it. The kidnapped people were shocked.

"We're here to help! First, we have to pretend to be kidnapped, like you," spoke the girls. As for the boy, he nudged the people to be quiet as he showed them how a small human entered his inner pocket.

'Shit, that's Barbara and Tim! With Bumblebee! Are they infiltrating as well? Shit, what a coincidence. Well, I see no problem with this' thought Raiden as he followed the guards who escorted them to their pods.

'Pod… This leaves a bad taste in my mouth. But I'm not like last time. I'm strong. I'm entering this pod because I want to, not because I was forced' Raiden thought, getting over his little trauma that remained from his time imprisoned by Ivo. Raiden allowed them to put him in the pod. The pods were then pushed by the soldiers towards a submarine

'Well, well, well, this is quite interesting. So, this is the alien ship' thought Raiden as the submarine he was in docked to enter a much larger submarine. It was clearly of alien origin from its design, the highly advanced tech.

After pushing the pods in, they were left inside a special room, filled with similar pods.

'So, what are they going to do with us?' But before Raiden could get an answer for that, he noticed how Batgirl (Barbara) and Robin (Tim) had been swirling around speaking before they got themselves out of the pods with Bumblebee's help.

It took a while, but Batgirl released everyone as the alarm started to ring. A few armed alien soldiers came in, holding staff-like laser guns, but Raiden didn't even need to step in as Batgirl, Robin, and Bumblebee made quick work of them.

"Follow us, we'll take you to safety! Come on," said Robin as everyone started to follow him outside. Raiden took this opportunity to slip away from the crowd as he wanted to discover more about their alien friends.

After walking for a few minutes and beating up some fodder soldiers, Raiden reached a room that was clearly important. Getting inside by breaking the door open, Raiden found an alien there. It was clearly a she, as she looked at him with shock and screamed, "THERE IS A SUBJECT IN THE EXPERIMENT ROOM! I NEED BACKUP!"

"Subject? Last time a guy made me a subject, I killed him," said Raiden as he started walking towards her. "So, you must be the scientist that is experimenting with people. Which race are you from? You don't look like a Daxamite, not from the Citadel, and you sure as hell are not a Red Lantern. So, who are your people?"

She quickly reached for a speaking device as she screamed, "BLACK! I NEED---ughhh." Before she could continue to speak, Raiden already choked her as she dropped the device. "Now, if you make any wrong moves, I'll take your life. Answer me, WHAT RACE ARE YOU?"

As she was about to answer, a bunch of soldiers walked into the room. Raiden looked at them as he held her from her neck and said, "TRACE ON." Tens of swords were conjured behind him as they were thrown in the direction of the soldiers. Half of the soldiers were pierced, while the other half received no damage as the swords were smashed like glass. "Still too weak, huh? Damn it."

He looked at the remaining soldiers and threw the scientist he was holding at them. She smashed into five of them as they all fell. He walked towards them and knocked them all out with a kick each. He then turned to her and grabbed her from the neck again, saying, "Now, we're back to you, pest. WHAT RACE ARE YOU?"

"Rughgh Reachchhh." Realizing he might have gone overboard with the choking, he released her a bit from its tight grip as he allowed her to speak. "We're from the Reach."

"The Reach? I've heard of that. Don't you have a rule with the Guardians that you must be invited to a planet before invading it? I don't remember Earth inviting you," said Raiden as he looked her dead in the eyes. "Our ambassador is about to hold a meeting with your leaders by tomorrow morning, so us being here isn't illegal."

"What kind of experiments are you doing here? If your answer doesn't satisfy me, I'll snap your neck," asked Raiden. The scientist was frightened as she said, "We're trying to study the human meta-gene and forcefully unlock it." Hearing that, Raiden raised his eyebrows as he remembered an old mission he was in, in fact, it was his first mission, where the Light had been trying to do the same experiment. "Why is the Light helping you?"

"The Light and us have an agreement. We take over Earth, and we help them unlock the meta-gene inside humans. They were unable to progress further with their weak human science," said the scientist. Raiden was about to ask her more questions about where the Reach was and how many soldiers they had, but then a sound from the device she dropped said,

"Listen up, this is Black. I've cornered the humans that were trying to escape. I'm taking them out and putting them back in their pods. Don't blame me if I kill any of them. There's also a Blue Lantern here. I'm going to kill her as well. We don't want word getting out that we're on a planet without being invited first."

Hearing the voice, Raiden snapped towards the device as he thought, 'Carry! Shit, I should have realized she would be here. She's been a member of the team for the last three months!' Raiden turned to the scientist and said, "I was going to arrest you and bring you back with us for an investigation. But too bad for you. If I let you go and handle Black, you'll escape, so *SNAP* DIE."

Snapping her neck he left the room heading directly to where the others should be

"AGHHHH," screamed Carry as she attacked Black with a massive blue hammer. He used his cannon to destroy it, then turned to the upcoming Connor and punched him, sending him flying away. A golden rope surrounded his neck as he tried to stop it from choking him. He saw Robin and Batgirl throw small bombs at his face.

He grabbed hold of the rope and yanked it down, dragging its owner, Cassie (Wonder Girl), and getting her to tank the bombs for him.

"You meat can huddle together all you like, but you amount to nothing," he declared.

"You won't be getting away with this, you!!!... Black Beetle!" said Cassie as she came up with a random name for him. After all, he looked awfully like the Blue Beetle they had with them, but instead, he was much larger and his suit was black.

"Everyone, I'm going to make you stronger! THE LIGHT OF HOPE MAY YOU SHINE UPON MY FRIENDS!" said Carry as she started to strengthen everyone and help them recover. It was one of her strongest abilities. However, it was a double-edged sword. In exchange for strengthening everyone, she became weaker and unable to create her constructs.

"Thanks, Carry! This is what we needed!" said Connor as he went back on the attack. Following after him was Lagoon Boy, who said, "YEAH! Let's get him!"

"You better surrender, Black Beetle! Let us get away, and we'll go easy on you!" said Cassie.

"You? Will go easy … on me? Ahahahahahahahaha! I'll be crushing you all, like the meat you are," spoke Black as he mocked Cassie, which frightened Bumblebee a bit. saying "Oh… that is not a good sign."
