Chapter 14

Gil got ready for his morning run, doing his stretches and getting changed, he only had one style of cloths the black uniform and he had three pairs of this. Apart from the pyjamas he had on and 3 vests, he had no other cloths. He had thrown away the old worn down clothes he had brought with him as he had no need for them, he never though he would leave the school in his 3 years apart from training.

Heading out the door, Gil looked at the room opposite him. He looked at the time and hoped that Tash wouldnt be mad that he knocked so early. As he knocked on the door he waited for half a second and saw Tash ready to go. She had her hair tied up in a bun and had her normal training uniform on with snow flakes on it.

As the two of them headed out they started talking about random things, favourite thing to do, favourite food and things like normal friends would do. For a lot of these questions Gil couldn't answer as he never had many choices, like for food he only ate what was cheapest to get with the little money the government gave him.

When they left the front of the gate the looked and right and set of. Tash thought she had good stamina but was soon left behind as Gil set of, she tried to catch up and realised that she couldnt keep that speed. Gil realised this and slowed down to match the same speed as Tash originally had.

"Sorry to slow you down Si"

"Dont worry, im just happy to have someone to spend time with" Gil said as they continued there run. As they got to the edge of one side of the castle and turned to go past the lake, they saw the sun raise. Thinking Tash would benefit from a little rest, he paused to watch the sun raise.

"Si, do you fancy going to the village near her to get some new things to wear" Tash said sitting down watching the sun dance of the lake.

"Yeah, sounds like a fun day. Would you prefer Saturday or Sunday."

"Saturday, i like to spend Sunday resting from the weeks work"

After agreeing to spend Saturday going down to the village they got back up and continued to go for there run. After doing a lap of the castle they head in to get some breakfast, ignoring the stares and talk the two sat down in the position from yesterday and after having some food they walked over to the training ground.

"Please continue working on your own abilities and your team work" They saw this message on the gate of the training area, walking past this and to the back area they started to do a warm up. spending the day going back and forth fighting and defending they had a better understanding of how each other. In the afternoon they left the arena and headed to the library, after spending another few hours there they left, following the same action as the prior day. Tash going to read Gil going to practice. They done the same thing for the next two days until Friday arrived.

Instead of a note there was an instructor there and a row of benches. Gil and Tash headed to the back waiting for others to arrive.

"Today you will be learning about a basic monster that comes out of most low level gates, Goblin's. There are basic goblin, hob goblin, warrior goblin and more. On Monday morning you will be facing different types of Giblin to get you used to killing monsters. This is important to learn as there are two types of monster you will face. The first one will be monsters that come from the gate, these are more powerful, such as the Goblins. The second type are animals that have been exposed to high levels of mana and have mutated to monsters, this can make it harder to kill these types of monsters as they are the ones we know before hand. That is why its important to learn killing before hand." One of the instructors said. This was one Gil hadn't been before, she had golden hair going down to her waist, and was dressed in a white button shirt and a pair of blue jeans. "Today you will be reading about how best to fight these monsters. This will include there weaknesses both against weapons and mana. The normal training dummies have been replaced with ones the same sized as the goblins you will be facing. Now after reading these books, you and your team will decide which one to take on, this will be the first test to get your official hunters grade, the highest grade you can get will be 2.C and the lowest you can get is 1.F."

After finishing talking the women raised her hand pointing to a large stack of books, and the students started to head to them to read.

"Tash have you read these?" Gil turned and asked.

"Not yet, have you" She replied.

"Not yet, just wanted to make sure it wasn't a waste of time" Saying this both of them started heading over to each get a book. Gil had already read this and with the systems help would be able to recall the information he had read at any point.

"Do we have to stay in the training area or can we go and read somewhere else" One of the students asked. Gil realised that he hadnt learnt anyone else's name, he know he could inspect to find it out bet didnt think that it was tight.

"You can go anywhere you like in the castle, just as long as you return the books here before the end of the day" One of the instructors said in response to the question.

"Si do you wanna go back to the lake to read?" Tash turned and asked. After agreeing both of them followed a few students out towards the lake. As Gil sat down to read the book he flicked through it and acted like he was reading the key points, like he had experienced before when re reading books he didnt get any intelligence points. After reading the large books for a while and when he felt like he couldnt read anymore he went to go get some lunch's for him and Tash. On the way back he dropped the original book of and made a B line to the library to get a new book to read, after picking one he went to the lunch hall to grab some food before jogging back to the lake.

After spending the rest of the day there, eating, reading and talking the two headed to the training hall to have some practice in the dummies. The only different against the normal one was it was smaller with armour in various places. For the next hour the two of them slashed and stabbed focusing on the weak points and moving to different ones to get used to finding them and attacking them. When the sun started to set they returned the Gil's book and both headed back to their door ready for the day in the village tomorrow.
