Xiao Ninger: Huh? they don't .. exist?

Xiao Tian : Quick question, what do you think about inscriptions are at their core? How do you think they are created?

Xiao Ninger gave a simple answer that came to her mind hearing the question.

Xiao Ninger: Inscriptions are runes arranged in specific patterns for desired effect . The runes must be drawn from blood of certain type of beasts depending on intending effects.

Xiao Tian: Technically you are right but that way of thinking is limiting yourself. Runes are anything written with deep desire and will wanting a desired effect , even a scribble will suffice , the energy is used as source to activate the rune. The energy source can be anything like demon blood or your own blood.

Xiao Ninger listened intently, she didn't want to doubt her brother. She knows he's the greatest Genius of lifetime glory city has to offer.Sadly , he is rather stubborn on not wanting to gain any attention.

However, the things he is saying are rather ridiculous , even though she trusts him deeply in her heart . This is just like asking her to believe that Black is actually just white if she thinks different. Yeah, it doesn't makes sense at all .

Xiao Tian seeing her facial expressions understood that it is difficult for her to swallow such knowledge. Hell, even he himself discovered this recently and started to Grind after breaking through to expert level.

Xiao Tian : I know it is extremely difficult to beleive what I'm saying You can draw any scribble and give it a purpose with your will , it can become an inscription. Ofcourse it is a lot easier to say rather than execute it but you don't need blood of demon beasts to draw runes, there are also other factors like your affinity and all . The problem with Cultivation world's is , they don't try to experiment to discover new things, sticking to believing old things and practicing them with strong belief. It is good to follow ancient practices but you also have to experiment new things. However it is hardwired into everyone that it is best to follow old Techniques and all , it is not completely wrong. The actual Ancient Techniques that makes some people so overpowered are actually created by universe naturally . The Techniques created by humans can never be equal to Techniques created by universe however they can be nearly as powerful as Techniques created by universe. As time gone by, the knowledge about this is lost and Every one started to believe that , Anything ancient is best. Their present knowledge is common sense to them.

Even now , when he's explaining it to Ning'er . She must be feeling what he feels if someone said to him that Magic is real when he's in Earth. He would definitely feel like someone's just messing with him.

Xiao Tian : okay then , look at this Gem .

Xiao Tian took a Blue Gem from his storage ring. Ning'er didn't questioned seeing him take out a Gem ,She knows that people go out to ruins to search for treasures , Gems are generally sold to jewellery merchants since they are useless in cultivation. Knowing her mysterious brother whose strength she's still unaware of , she won't be surprised if he actually gained these from Ruins expedition.

Xiao Tian : What do you see here ? do you feel anything special from it?

Xiao Ninger: A blue Gem . No , I don't feel anything unlike the red Gem you are using.

Xiao Tian : Fill it with your soul force.

She did it , although she's surprised that the Gem could actually contain her soul force. Upto her knowledge , only soul crystals can contain Soul force even then , it will be dissipated after some time.

Xiao Tian : Now watch

A wisp of Golden white soul force appeared on his finger. He drew a wied symbol on the Gem , as a mark appeared . The Gem glowed for a second before becoming normal.

Xiao Tian : Now , just send some soul force into again , this time from your spot and watch what happens.

Xiao Ninger is still unsure as Tian kept the Gem in the middle . She let her bluish green soul force out , when it entered the Gem , it immediately burst into mini tornado in the middle of the table and dissipated after few seconds running out of soul force .

Xiao Ninger was shocked seeing the rune work , when it was supposed to not happen anything . Now ,she believes him but she's still shocked at the revelation. If word goes out about this , it could cause a huge commotion in Glory city . This simply revolutionized the inscriptions , inscriptions are costly because they need demon beast blood so, the more powerful the inscription is ,you need the blood of more power ful demon beasts . That's why,legend rank inscriptions are treated as treasures due to the city having only one legend expert to defeat the legend rank demon beast for its blood but even he is busy and can't be bothered by these tasks.

Xiao Tian :The already existing Inscriptions are great but they are overly complex and grandiose for me. So, I created my own thirty runes which will give the same results like current inscriptions do when used in different ways. I also learnt that Gems can store energy perfectly and in ancient days ,they are used to record information as one of the application.

Xiao Ninger: Ju..just 30 runes!!why don't you share it with others then?It will help Glory city Tremondously!

Xiao Tian : Well, for one there are still flaws in my style of runes. Two, it won't work if anyone other than me try it because it is like asking others to believe black is white suddenly , going against their beliefs the whole life they were accustomed to .

Xiao Ninger:...I see ,I wanted to learn them too.

Xiao Tian: You can create your own style then , however I don't recommend it , atleast at this point of time. I just have ridiculous affinity to anything related to crafts and creating things ,just like how you have affinity for absurd mental strength and Cultivation. It's not bad to try but you have to have strong desire , give it a purpose and belief to make it work but you'll give up given your current condition in clan .

Xiao Tian : however, if you take time and get accustomed to the new style in the future slowly, you'll master them soon enough . I think you can do it , but you have to have really good desire and intent. As a bonus it will help your Cultivation

Indeed , Xiao Tian is a big sucker for Runes even in his previous life. He liked Rune magic , more specifically Norse Runes of Odin. He studied them in his old life even though they are Practically useless to him because there's no magic in that world. Now , that he has a chance he never neglected studying the.When he reached Black gold rank, increasing his comprehension , he gained a type of enlightenment. He tried experimented on inscriptions , granted he have necessary resources and there's a huge buff for him when it comes to crafting and succeeded in creating his own rune style.

He didn't changed anything , Runes really work on purpose , intent and energy source. He just found that the current language is too broad and unecesarily complex for him so, he decided to shorten them and wanted to see if he can use Runes in Norse looking style runes and it worked , hell he even tried other symbols like japanese kanji , indian sanskrit . All have worked but due to his past life's obsession over Runes of Norse, the runes affect are super effective compared to other styles and he started grinding them. Due to his high affinity , he is successfull in it.However , he still believes they might be some flaws and he need superior knowledge on already existing runes of this multiverse to know what they can do and complete his own rune Style. For now, he uses 30 runes to achieve various affects .

Xiao Ninger: How do practicing Runes helps in Cultivation? I can understand alchemy but Inscriptions...?

Xiao Tian : It is like exercise to your soul , It will increase the will and strength of soul as you Practice arts like alchemy, medicine and inscriptions . This can be a boost to Cultivation too .
