What happened, was a betrayal from the nine Gods banding together for the sole purpose of eradicating the God Of Destruction from existence.
"that is impossible".
Sango was quick to call out Getha's story when it came to the betrayal part for one good reason.
He is not only friends with the other nine players with an hint of friendly rivalry mixed into it, he is also Erica's soon to be eternal partner.
Sango believes there is nothing that would make Erica betray him, unless..... The Gods in Getha's story are not about the players, but different sets of people.
He also found that difficult to believe as the three titles of the Gods that Getha mentioned is the same as the class of the top three high rankers in LORDS.
what are the odds that this same Gods, just somehow happens to have the same title as their class?
What are also the odds that one of the Gods who is the God of Destruction, having the same title as Sango's class, also has an appearance that is hard to distinguish from how Sango looks like, with the exception of the body size?
The similarities is just too much to write it off as a simple coincidence, but the said coincidence also does not add up much when one puts into thought that Sango has no knowledge of all this happening.
He is lost and confused. Where does the line starts? Where is the beginning and where is the end? What is false and what is real? Everything is confusing to Sango.
He might never get to see the love of his life ever again, and yet here he is, being told that the same person he considers as the love of his life, might be related to someone that betrayed him?
How is he supposed to believe any of that to be true? Not even his rational state of mind could comprehend the understanding of how it can come to be.
"why was he... I betrayed".
Sango still does not believe what Getha is saying to be true, but he also is not just going to write it off as nonsense.
It is a story derived from years of historical knowledge passed down from generation to generation. For such a tale, it is only normal that the original content has been twicked a little, deviated from what really happened.
If that is so, then perhaps what Getha is saying might be true, but he is sure that not all of it is. It could also be that everything is true, with the characters different from the original players.
"you were betrayed because you demonstrated that you were more powerful than the ten Gods put together".
Sango was starting to believe that this God like characters that Getha is referring to, is not the same as the player characters that he knows of.
As powerful as Sango is, going up against ten high rankers by himself is an impossible feat to accomplish.
He could not even take on five high rankers much less all ten of them, hence his conclusion that he and the God Of Destruction of this world, are two separate individuals.
"they knew they could not take you on alone, so they conspired behind your back, using your weakness against you".
"and what is that!".
Sango does not remember having a weakness that could take him down easily apart from being ganged on by multiple high rankers, or having a face off against a sovereign.
Those are the two things that Sango knows could put an end to him.
"your love for the Goddess Of Slayer is what was used to bring you down!".
When the nine Gods had taken it upon themselves to bring the God Of Destruction to his end, they avoided a frontal confrontation and resorted to using his love for the Slayer Goddess against him.
The Slayer Goddess was to poison the God Of Destruction with an elixir capable of temporarily sealing the abilities of a God.
After he was poisoned, he was left helpless as they all ganged up on him and sealed him for eternity.
" your story is a lie. It is nothing more than what it is, a fairytale told for your amusements".
Sango for even a moment, was unwilling to believe that he was betrayed by Erica his one and only love.
In the first place, it is absurd to even think that Erica would come to fear him for his powers.
All this is nothing but a fairy-tale, a myth of another characters incorporated into his life, is what Sango wants to believe in, but the evidence says otherwise.
Through rational thinking, Sango is able to sort out reasons why he could be betrayed by the other nine players, Erica included.
If Sango's state of mind is being rationalized by the passive effect of his Godhood position, it won't be too far fetched to say that the same thing happened to the other nine players with God rank class.
It is possible that Erica in a rational state of mind will not be affected by a property referred to as love, but will be concerned only about the interest that aligns with it.
Sango has proven to be powerful during his duel with Erica by dominating the field if only by a margin.
What is to say that the Erica who got transported into this world would not want to be overshadowed by the presence of Sango who has grown beyond her reach?
Sango really does not want to believe it to be true. He really does not, but that is what his rational state of mind is leading him to.
Based on an hypothesis he has drawn up; he and the other players were transported into this world to act as Gods for it. Along the way, he was betrayed by the nine high rankers because they feared that he has grown too strong.
Unable to kill Sango, they sealed him in a place that he would be forever trapped in with no chance of him ever getting out.
It sounds ridiculous that despite all this, he has no memories of living such life, yet there are details that points to how his life is, like his love for Erica.
There are two conclusions that Sango has drawn up for this scenario.
The first conclusion, is that the Gods that are being mentioned, are different characters with life and appearance similar to his.
The second conclusion, is that the story really did happen to him and the other players, and he was betrayed by the love of his life. Trapped in a prison but somehow escaped only to have forgotten any details of it ever happening.
"and how does your tribe come into play".
He has yet to understand how Getha and her tribe came into play, and why Getha was able to call for his presence.
"each race chose the Gods they wished to serve as their supreme masters. My tribe, ended up choosing you despite it being forbidden to serve you".
