"Emma, this isn't your fault."
Bee stepped forward to comfort Emma, but she gave Randy an especially unpleasant look.
Randy ignored her and simply went along with the situation.
"Yes, it's not your fault."
If it wasn't Emma's fault, then naturally, the blame would fall on Ellis. At the very least, with Emma's leap, no one would get anything out of her now, and the school would have to shoulder this burden.
When protective David arrives, there's a good chance he'll hold the school accountable.
"I'm sorry, what happened yesterday was all my decision. I will personally call Mr. David to explain."
Ellis, with a face ashen as death, bowed to Emma to apologize and then bowed to Milo's parents.
"Emma, I truly apologize for the harm I caused you."
Now, Ellis began to waver in her suspicion. After all, it's just a child. Could she really be malicious enough to harm a whole school?
But unfortunately, Emma gave her no face and refused to even look at her.
Finally, with the comforting words of Randy and Bee, and amid repeated apologies, the three returned to the house.
As soon as they walked in, Bee's expression turned particularly sharp.
"Randy, you are absolutely crazy! What if Emma had really gotten hurt? Falling from such a height could kill someone."
"With me here, that won't happen," Randy said confidently, casually tossing Emma onto the sofa.
The first thing the little girl said after landing on the sofa was, "I want to kill Ellis!"
"Then go now, while her car hasn't driven away." Randy frowned, "Do you need me to grab a kitchen knife for you?"
Emma wasn't afraid of David or Bee, but she did fear Randy a little. Hearing his serious tone, she dared not make further outbursts and instead felt wronged.
"She keeps targeting me. She definitely won't let me go."
"Too bad you don't have the ability right now."
Randy began to lecture seriously, "Your intentions can't be obvious to others. Voicing your true thoughts is a sign of weakness, which only makes others think you are strong on the outside but fragile inside, right, Bee?"
Bee spread her hands, speechless.
She thought, why are you asking me? I know nothing about this.
She admitted she was somewhat of a weirdo, always harboring crazy ideas since her school days. But compared to these two, she seemed to be on a different level.
Meanwhile, Emma was carefully processing Randy's words.
She admitted that shouting out loud earlier was indeed a way of telling the two that she was dangerous and not someone to be messed with.
"I understand now."
Randy smiled and ruffled her hair. "That's a good girl. If you want to kill someone, you need a plan and strategy. You also have to think about the consequences and how to frame someone else for it."
Speaking of framing, Emma immediately caught on.
"You told me to say I saw a clown, but now they're saying the clown doesn't exist?"
"Relax. This is just a temporary misdirection. In the end, someone will take the blame."
Only then did Emma nod.
"By the way, if you come up with a plan in the future, you should let me know first. If you act on your own, I won't clean up your mess."
Randy genuinely liked Emma and even considered grooming her as a successor. After all, Emma was still young, her worldview not yet formed, and she could be brainwashed in advance.
He could also teach her all his skills. In case his ascension fails, he could even use her body for a second chance, reborn with her latent power.
Of course, such a worst-case scenario likely wouldn't happen.
After all, this life, Randy was following a premium path. His current followers, Carrie, Pennywise, and Beverley, had all contributed the best they had.
Speaking of followers, Randy turned to look at Bee.
"What exactly are you?"
"Me?"
Bee felt a bit uneasy. Wasn't she supposed to be the one asking the questions?
"I'm just a nanny, nothing more."
She wasn't entirely confident in her answer. She lowered her head to glance at Emma, but the little wolf still harbored ill intentions towards her. It was ridiculous. She had been worried sick about her just moments ago!
"Tell the truth."
Emma couldn't wait, assuming Randy would back her up, so she pointed at Bee and cursed, "She's a b****."
"Dammit, Emma, how can you use such language?"
Randy frowned. "Apologize to Bee right now!"
"???"
In the end, Emma could only mumble in a very small voice, "I'm sorry."
She didn't know why, but she didn't like listening to David. Yet, she willingly listened to Randy. Perhaps it was because angering Randy would really mean being abandoned.
"Heh, seems our parenting methods are quite similar."
Bee didn't take offense at Emma's disrespect.
She stood up.
"I'm from a newly established organization. Strictly speaking, we're all cultists, servants of Satan, the Lord of Hell."
Randy didn't expect her to admit it so openly, but to be honest, he didn't pay much mind to it. Bee seemed immature, like a young person who accidentally followed a trend.
"Does your organization have any teachings? Like 'make the world full of love,' or 'get rid of all non-Caucasian races'? Or is it dedicated to kidnapping children and sending them to some island?"
Since she was a nanny, dealing with children all the time, Randy's imagination naturally wandered in that direction.
"Hey, what kind of joke is that? How could we possibly kidnap children? Our organization is working hard to realize our own dreams!"
Bee retorted immediately.
Randy acknowledged her words. He could tell whether someone had committed evil deeds at a glance.
At least for now, Bee's hands were not stained with blood.
Boring.
Randy simply thought they were overestimating themselves.
"So, what exactly is supporting your cult? Are you just relying on mutual encouragement?"
Randy recalled the eerie book Emma had mentioned in a previous phone call. His interest in that was why he had come here.
"Are you thinking of joining?"
Bee raised an eyebrow. "We don't discriminate by race; as long as you have a dream, you can join!"
Randy sneered. "You claim to be Satan's servant, so what if my dream is to make Satan step aside for me? Can I still join?"
"This..."
"Alright, some things are best left untouched. Otherwise, you'll end up facing the consequences."
"Wait a minute, it's not entirely impossible. We've seen crazier dreams!"
She raised her head.
"I was actually planning to perform the first ritual tonight. It requires a sacrificial offering and the blood of a pure person. With that, Satan can help us achieve our wishes."
Bee raised her head.
"I thought of using a child as the pure one since only children are truly pure. But when I saw Emma, I realized how wrong that idea was. She's practically born evil."
"Thank you for the compliment. Of course, I'm not a pure person."
Emma was just about to add another sarcastic remark when her expression suddenly froze. "Wait, does that mean I'm the sacrifice?"
