3 Angel or Demon?

'Telepathy! Possession!'

Jayson creates a connection between his mind and that of the beast. Then, he leaves his real body using his astral form. Like a ghost he floats into the mental world of the beast. His astral body looks like a translucent copy of his current self. A dark brown boy with blazing red hair and red pupils. His black, formerly white, shorts cover up his astral form's modesty.

The humandrill's mental world looks like a forest filled with many fruits. Though, the forest looks dark and sickly. The fruits slowly droop to the ground before melting into a puddle of acid. Probably a reflection of the mental shock the ape received when it thought it was bout to die. Jayson levitates above the treetops to search for the mental core of humandrill.

'It should be an astral body similar to mine. He swivels his head as he senses a cluster of energy similar to his. Instantly he takes off towards it. The information, gained after eating the Devil fruit, tells him that he has to make the core submit to make the humandrill his 'thrall'.

He quickly spots a downed humandrill in a clearing. He floats down to study the core. The core looks like the young humandrill. The only difference is that this humandrill looks smaller and more frightened of Jayson.

"Hello there" Jayson says to the humamdrill. The creature snarls and puts its large hands up to fight. It enters a protective stance and carefully watches Jayson's movements. Jayson smiles at this.

"It's good you still have fighting spirit. However, I am in no mood for a mental battle. I will test my theory on you instead."

Jayson closes his eyes to concentrates on his memories. His life begins to flash through his mind.

From his birth in New York to his loving family to him being bullied in school to hitting the gym to become stronger and learn to fight. Then, he returns back to school to beat up his bullies. After highschool, he becomes a Psych major and graduates with a 3.4 CGPA. After a year of job hopping he joins the Air Force. He becomes one of the best pilots in his class and gets approved to go on missions. At 22, he flies for the first time into enemy territory. His knees shaking from the fear of being shot down. He survives his mission and many more before leaving the military.

At 26, he gets a job at a neuroscience research facility. It was in one of the labs in that facility before he woke up in the one piece world.

Going over his memories, Jayson chooses the memories that solicit a strong mental reaction from him. He is choosing memories where he finished missions, defeated opponents, survived hellish conditions, and overcame his own fear.

Soon, he feels an energy bubble within him threatening to erupt. The bubble is coming from a fiery seed deep with him. The energy, threatening to burst from the seed is conquering haki. A culmination of Jayson's will to survive and determination to thrive in his previous world.

Jayson begins to feed the emotional energy (mental energy created from emotions) into the seed of conquering haki. Like a pouring gas on a flame the seed erupts and a burst of energy leaves Jayson's body. The seed becomes a flame that rages with Jayson Bradley.

BOOM

In both the real world and humandrill's mental scape, a dome of purplish red energy expands with Jayson at the center. The dome stops expanding at about ten meters. The area within the dome seems to be under the action of heavy gravity causing the ground beneath him to collapse on itself.

Jayson looks at the small bonfire of conquering haki within his core and is pleased. He opens his eyes and gazes at the humandrill astral core.

"Not bad." Jayson stares at the humandrill core that is unable to move under the pressure of his haki. He tries to control the flame of conquering haki more but is unable to.

The energy feels heavy and viscous. It will take a lot of practice to make conquering haki move according to his wishes. 'Afterall, conquering haki isn't armament haki.'

Jayson, content with his new ability, cancels his haki. The turbulent area around him slowly calms and returns to normalcy. Though the ground around him has depressed by a meter. He walks over to the spiritual core of the humandrill and picks it up. Jayson gathers black mystical energy into his hand.

PUCHI!

Jayson then stabs his hand through the chest of the humandrill. He injects his mystical energy into the core and watches the energy circulate through the humandrill. The energy rejuvenates the core and it heals quickly before Jayson's eyes.

"Good, that will ensure the beast's eternal loyalty to me." From now on, the beast will feel nothing but loyalty and positive emotions towards Jason. He decides to cancel his possession and telepathy skills. He returns to his body and opens his eyes in the real world.

He removes his hand from the head of the humandrill. The humandrill wakes up and lifts its body before getting on one knee. Jayson looks at his new crew member with a smile.

"Good, from now on you are Kong. Now go fetch me the best tasting fruits you know of nearby." Jayson watches the humanzilla nod then run quickly into the forest. He sighs then walks to the tree nearby to rest. He lays his back upon a huge tree that is pretty common in east blue.

'It's time to face the music.' Jayson slowly slips out of his first stage of hyperfocus. The second stage allows him to use observation haki. As he leaves hyperfocus, the negative emotions that Jayson suppressed, when he got into the One Piece world, slowly returned.

Tears slowly drop from Jayson's eyes. Although he always enjoyed the idea of being reincarnated, he never expected it to happen. He feels burdened by the loss he has suffered. His family. His GymBros. His Video-games. His veteran buddies.

The sadness he felt was becoming too overwhelming for him. He loved many people back on Earth, and now he'll never see them again. Jayson couldn't help but feel like a dam about to burst.

"Grrr." His growls in anger, sadness, and pain. However, in all those turbulent emotions, Jayson knew he could not let himself drown in sorrow forever. Neither could he bottle up his pent up negative emotions.

For his survival he must choose another option. He chooses to burn them. Jason directs the ocean of emotions he is currently feeling into the haki flame within him. Like a volcano conquering haki erupts from him and Jayson can't help but scream.

'AAAARRRRGGGHHHH!!!!" The dome of conquering haki expands to about eighty meters. All the animals within pass out. All except the Kong, the humandrill sniper, who cowers in at the bottom of a large fruit tree.

The flames quickly consume the emotions. Jayson discovers that the flames are slowly becoming larger and more condensed in nature. The dome of conquering haki expands as well to reach up to ninety metres. Various animals run away from the expanding dome. They all fear for their lives.

Suddenly, Jason feels something in his head click into place. The haki flame within begins to devour more energy and the Devil fruit within him reacts.

Like a screaming Saiyan, Jayson Bradley transforms to his complete half human - half beast form: Daitengu. The wings he brought out before was a small partial transformation. If he was in a normal state of mind, he would be pleasantly surprised at this. This is because when he first got the fruit, the Daitengu (half transformation) and Kotengu (full transformation) abilities were not available to him.

"AAAARRRGGGHH!!!" Slowly Jayson begins to increase in size. His wings reach up to twenty feet. His height shoots up to ten feet. His hair extends longer to fall over his shoulders down to his back. His ears and nose extend and become more pointy. His skin then turns a crimson shade of red to complete the transformation.

From his previous fallen angel look, Jayson now possesses the look of a demon. Any normal person that sees him, a ten foot tall winged red skinned person, will shit their pants.

In total, about a minute has passed since Jayson erupted with conquering haki. The dome of haki reaches a max of a hundred and six meters and stops. Over the next ten seconds the dome of Haki surrounding him recedes as there are less turbulent emotions to consume.
