Chapter 2: The First World

Alex Tsujuro stood in the endless void, the god's presence still lingering. The anticipation buzzed through him as he prepared to make his first choice. "I want to go to the world of 'That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime,'" he declared.

The god nodded, his form beginning to fade. "Very well. May your journey be extraordinary, Alex Tsujuro. Goodbye, and use your wishes wisely."

"Thank you," Alex said, his voice filled with gratitude. As the god disappeared, a soft chime resonated in the void.

Ding! The Character System has been granted.

Alex felt a thrill of excitement. He had no regrets about his previous life. At 18, an orphan with few ties, he saw this as a fresh start. A new adventure awaited.

"System, activate," he called out, his voice echoing slightly in the void. In response, a translucent screen materialized before him, displaying two options: Create a Character and Be a Character. Below these options, his current balance was shown: Infinity Dollars.

Alex's eyes widened. "Infinite currency," he murmured. "I can choose anyone without worrying about the cost."

He selected Be a Character, and a list of characters appeared, each with a price tag. His eyes skimmed through famous names and their respective costs: Anos Voldigoad for 150 million, Jin Mori for 150 million, and many others. But one name stood out to him: Gilgamesh, the King of Heroes from "Fate/Stay Night," priced at 86 million dollars.

"I've always been a fan of Gilgamesh," Alex mused aloud. "Let's do this."

He selected Gilgamesh, and the system asked if he was sure he wanted to proceed to the Tensura world. Without hesitation, Alex confirmed. As he did, he felt his old body dissolving, morphing into the powerful form of Gilgamesh. His senses heightened, strength surged through him, and a regal presence enveloped him.

Suddenly, a wave of exhaustion hit him. His eyelids grew heavy, and he felt an irresistible urge to sleep. "I guess... even heroes need rest," he thought as he drifted off.

When Alex woke up, he found himself lying on soft grass under a clear blue sky. Blinking away the remnants of sleep, he noticed a small, blue slime watching him with curious eyes.

The sight of the slime made Alex's heart race with excitement. "This is it," he thought, barely able to contain his enthusiasm. "I'm really here. I can finally fulfill my wish."
