The Safety Net

"Come on get up," 

I groaned in annoyance. My head tingling in pain as I slowly drifts out of consciousness. Tingling pain. That's the only kind of tingling I have these days. Head tingling in pain. Eyes tingling in pain. Body tingling in pain, and so on. 

It's been a week since the Assent took place. All the delegates have up and left including Atlas. Actually, Atlas left the day after the accident happened. He didn't spare me a glance while I was curled up in pain on the ground.

Atlas staggered himself out of the place. He was also in agony, that's for sure. Fortunately for him, he's an Alpha. If he can manage it well, the rejection wouldn't bother him much. As for me, let's just say I am enjoying a vacation in the abyss. One hell of a vacation.
