Why A Dimensional Chat Group?

In contemporary Japan, Yuu Tachibana lives a seemingly ordinary life with his beloved family. However, Yuu harbors a secret: he has lived a past life in another world, making his current life his second. Having no one to call family in his previous life, Yuu cherishes his family all the more. One fateful night, Yuu discovers an unidentified phone in his room. The message displayed on its screen is cryptic and foreboding: [Do you want to save your family from their terrible fate?] With a sense of dread, Yuu is faced with a choice: [Yes] or [No]. Yuu must decide if he is willing to risk everything to protect his loved ones. Will he choose to save them, or let fate run its course? -------- So, before you jump into the fic, let me address the frustration of some readers, This fic is slow. The Dimensional Chat Group, is not given to the MC in the first or fifth chapter. No, no! Not even in 8 chapter, It decides to make a fashionable entrance in chapter 11. And we don't even get to fully explore it until chapter 15. Isn't that just great? The delay in the chat group's appearance seems to be a point of confusion for many readers. While the chat group is indeed a central aspect of the story, it's important to understand why the MC would use this unknown and potentially dangerous power. If the MC is reckless or unintelligent, the chat group's usage might begin in the first chapter. However, if the MC is depicted as a self-proclaimed genius or cautious individual, the story will reach the point of the chat group's involvement by chapter 3 at the latest, followed by a mission. In the initial 8 to 9 chapters, we get a glimpse into the MC's ordinary existence. He leads a regular life, surrounded by his loving family. He attends school, where he has a small circle of friends. Financially speaking, his family doesn't face any difficulties or hardships. And he is content with this simple, everyday life. Now, you might be wondering, why on earth would a person like our MC take a risk with the Chat Group? Hear me out. He's not some thrill-seeker, or a martial arts enthusiast looking for stronger opponents, nor is he a genius bored out of his mind. He's content with his life, and he doesn't crave anything more. So, why would he put his neck on the line? That's precisely why it takes so long for the Chat Group to enter the picture. The initial chapters focus on showcasing his everyday life with family and friends. It's all about giving you a glimpse into why he wouldn't initially desire the chat group. But, of course, he eventually takes the plunge because he discovers a reason that speaks to him. Now, I know some of you may say, "Hey, couldn't you have summed it up in a single chapter?" Well, sure, I could have, but I didn't want to. Summarizing the MC's relationships and motivations would have resulted in a shallow excuse that you—yes, you—would probably complain about later. Plus, there's more to this story than just his daily life. But enough about that. Let's get one thing straight: this fic is slow. If you're expecting a quick summary with occasional fights and snappy dialogue, do yourself and me a favor by clicking off this fic. You'll find what you're looking for in less than 10 seconds, guaranteed. So, if you're still here after this warning, I don't want to hear any complaints about the story's pace. You've been duly informed. And hey, as you read, try paying a little more attention to uncover the hidden meanings within the dialogues and monologues. Also, I am not saying that I have done a fantastic job on the writing, No that’s not the point of this. The point is that you the reader don’t waste your time reading something you don’t like. And I don’t get 1-star reviews for a reason as petty as ‘The Chat group took too long to appear’ That's all for now. What Did You Do?

And Yuu's next words were straight to the point…

"Kocho-san, I have been lying to you,"

"…" Kanae stayed silent so Yuu continued.

"I didn't come from another Demon Slayer Organization from overseas and neither have I hunted demons before," Yuu was waiting for Kanae to say something.

"I knew that," Kanae said while looking at Yuu.

"You already knew?" Yuu asked in confusion.

"Yes," Kanae nodded and Yuu got even more confused.

"Then why did you help me? You know how much damage I could've done if I had malicious intent," Yuu said flatly and all he got in return was…

"But Tachibana-sama didn't have any malicious intent," Kanae looked at Yuu and continued, "And you saved my life, so I kept that little secret with me till now and tried to pay you back."

"…" Yuu looked at Kanae and she smiled the next instant.

"And it isn't that everything Tachibana-sama said was a lie, it was only that part, everything else other than that was true and you've helped so many people, so I think a little lie could be canceled out," Yuu didn't know that Kanae was keeping this close of an eye on him.

No in truth…

'I already had a hunch that she didn't believe my lie about the organization from overseas,' Yuu thought as Kanae was still smiling before she asked a question.

"Tachibana-sama, why did you stop me from using the Ultimate technique of my Breathing Style?" This question has been gnawing at her mind since that day and she was here to talk about it today.

"Kocho-san you told me that you wanted to see your sisters grow up healthy and live in peace," Yuu said and Kanae nodded.

She indeed remembered telling Yuu that while she was recovering, that was why she was so grateful to him for saving her.

"Yes, I do remember it but I don't understand how that would lead to what you said," This time Kanae looked confused.

"How would you see your sisters if you damaged your eyes?" Yuu said and Kanae blinked.

Kanae didn't know what to say aside from…

"That's such a silly reason, Tachibana-sama you really, haha," Kanae couldn't hold back her laugh, it didn't make any sense but at the same time it did.

She never thought that Yuu remembered what she said that day before she went to sleep and thought about it so seriously.

'How do you expect someone to hate you this way?' Kanae questioned while looking at Yuu's face.

"I just did that because I didn't want you to lose your eyesight over my lies," Yuu said as he sat down on the bed next to Kanae.

'I wouldn't want the same thing to happen to me as well,' Yuu surely didn't want to lose his eyesight and be unable to look at his family.

"It was only one lie, aside from that I know that Tachibana-sama had always said the truth, about your mission of killing the demons and wanting to go back to your family to live a peaceful life," Kanae was certain that someone who loves their family so much can't really be a bad person.

'It might just be my own beliefs though,' Kanae knew that this may have been a big mistake if she was wrong but she wasn't.

"Yeah, if possible I want to do that," Yuu was exactly like what she thought him to be.

Yuu didn't want to deal with any of this if needed, he just wanted to live with his family without any care.

"Tachibana-sama you wanted to tell me about something, right?" After a little silence, Kanae asked Yuu, she knew that he still hasn't talked about the main topic he spoke of at the door.

"Yes, I want to tell you where I came from," Yuu said turning to Kanae and she nodded.

She also wanted to know where Yuu came from and what his circumstances were.

Yuu slowly and thoroughly explained to Kanae about how he was from another world, one that was a hundred years ahead of hers.

And about how suddenly one night he got a message that told him that his family is in danger.

"So, in order to get stronger to protect your family, Tachibana-sama accepted the mission and came here to fight the Demons?" Kanae asked and Yuu nodded seeing that she understood clearly.

"I know it is hard to believe bu-" Yuu was about to continue but Kanae stopped him.

"I trust you Tachibana-sama, and I know you aren't lying," Kanae just shook her head, she could feel Yuu's sincerity when he let her know about everything.

About the mysterious message that appeared in front of him that sent him on a mission to a different world.

It may sound ridiculous to anyone else but she believed it or rather she believed him.

"So Tachibana-sama you are letting me know of this because?" Kanae had already arrived at a conclusion and Yuu nodded affirming her thoughts with his next words.

"I can invite people to join me on these missions and I am telling this to Kocho-san because I want to invite you, with this chat group you can get incredible powers that will help you get strong enough to kill all of the demons in this world as we clear more missions," Yuu continued on as he wanted to warn Kanae in advance, "But you should know that it will be dangerous and you can also lose your life in the missions Kocho-san, so please think it over properly."

Yuu had seen that Kanae cares deeply for her family, so he wanted to let her know the dangers that will come with undertaking this mission.

"Tachibana-sama, can I ask something of you?" Kanae asked and Yuu nodded.

"Ask whatever you need," Yuu thought that Kanae might have a question for him regarding the chat group and other things but…

"Tachibana-sama, can you call me by my first name?" The thing Kanae asked was totally different.

"Where is that bastard? I had to check all of the patients myself," Shinobu frowned as she walked down the hallway, she was pissed since today Yuu was supposed to help her look after the patients but he was missing.

'Just you wait, I'll put a whole wasabi root in your food,' Shinobu found her way to get revenge, and while she was walking towards the kitchen she happened to run into Kanae who…

"Nee-sama what happened?" Shinobu asked in confusion.

"Hmm, what do you mean Shinobu-chan~?" Kanae asked with a smile that was brighter than usual.

"N-Nothing, I just wanted to know where that guy is," Shinobu stepped back seeing her sister in such a good mood.

Normally it is troublesome when you go near a person who is in a bad mood since they are irritated, but in Kanae's case, it was the total opposite.

You don't want to go near her when she is in too good of a mood.

"Oh, Yuu-san just went to the backyard," Kanae said with the same bright smile.

"I-I see, I need to talk to him about some experiments so I'll g- Wait!" Shinobu who was trying to slip away stopped in her tracks.

'Nee-sama just called him by his first name!' Shinobu was shocked by that since Kanae has been speaking to Yuu very respectfully till now.

So, the sudden change threw her off.

"What happened Shinobu-chan? Are you feeling unwell? Should I get you some medicine? Come I'll give you a lap pillow so that you can sleep~," Shinobu barely got away from Kanae who was trying to drag her to her own room.

"Nee-sama what happened today?" Shinobu couldn't help but ask and Kanae smiled even more brightly.

"I just made up my mind that's all~,"

"I-I see, then I'll go and do my work, I can't rest right now," Shinobu just ran away covered in sweat, she didn't know what happen but...

'It is surely troublesome,'

"Shinobu-chan you should at least have some medicine, And she is gone, why doesn't she ever listen to me?" Kanae shook her head and went back to her room.

On the otherside, Shinobu arrived in the backyard and looked at Yuu.

"You! What did you do to Nee-sama?!" Shinobu shouted while pointing at Yuu who seemed to be in deep thought.

"I didn't do anything," Yuu turned to Shinobu and said but the suspicious look on the latter's face did not leave.

But it wasn't like Yuu cared so he started to think again.

'I should leave this world quickly and look into the chat group properly,' Yuu was already making plans for what he would be doing after he goes back as Shinobu sat down in the backyard with a deep frown.

'He doesn't seem to be lying,' She thought looking at Yuu but then couldn't help but rub her forehead, 'What the hell happened to Nee-sama then?'

In the end, Shinobu couldn't arrive at a conclusion and because she was too tired she decided to think about it the next day.

But she was in for another shock the next day…
