Why A Dimensional Chat Group?

In contemporary Japan, Yuu Tachibana lives a seemingly ordinary life with his beloved family. However, Yuu harbors a secret: he has lived a past life in another world, making his current life his second. Having no one to call family in his previous life, Yuu cherishes his family all the more. One fateful night, Yuu discovers an unidentified phone in his room. The message displayed on its screen is cryptic and foreboding: [Do you want to save your family from their terrible fate?] With a sense of dread, Yuu is faced with a choice: [Yes] or [No]. Yuu must decide if he is willing to risk everything to protect his loved ones. Will he choose to save them, or let fate run its course? -------- So, before you jump into the fic, let me address the frustration of some readers, This fic is slow. The Dimensional Chat Group, is not given to the MC in the first or fifth chapter. No, no! Not even in 8 chapter, It decides to make a fashionable entrance in chapter 11. And we don't even get to fully explore it until chapter 15. Isn't that just great? The delay in the chat group's appearance seems to be a point of confusion for many readers. While the chat group is indeed a central aspect of the story, it's important to understand why the MC would use this unknown and potentially dangerous power. If the MC is reckless or unintelligent, the chat group's usage might begin in the first chapter. However, if the MC is depicted as a self-proclaimed genius or cautious individual, the story will reach the point of the chat group's involvement by chapter 3 at the latest, followed by a mission. In the initial 8 to 9 chapters, we get a glimpse into the MC's ordinary existence. He leads a regular life, surrounded by his loving family. He attends school, where he has a small circle of friends. Financially speaking, his family doesn't face any difficulties or hardships. And he is content with this simple, everyday life. Now, you might be wondering, why on earth would a person like our MC take a risk with the Chat Group? Hear me out. He's not some thrill-seeker, or a martial arts enthusiast looking for stronger opponents, nor is he a genius bored out of his mind. He's content with his life, and he doesn't crave anything more. So, why would he put his neck on the line? That's precisely why it takes so long for the Chat Group to enter the picture. The initial chapters focus on showcasing his everyday life with family and friends. It's all about giving you a glimpse into why he wouldn't initially desire the chat group. But, of course, he eventually takes the plunge because he discovers a reason that speaks to him. Now, I know some of you may say, "Hey, couldn't you have summed it up in a single chapter?" Well, sure, I could have, but I didn't want to. Summarizing the MC's relationships and motivations would have resulted in a shallow excuse that you—yes, you—would probably complain about later. Plus, there's more to this story than just his daily life. But enough about that. Let's get one thing straight: this fic is slow. If you're expecting a quick summary with occasional fights and snappy dialogue, do yourself and me a favor by clicking off this fic. You'll find what you're looking for in less than 10 seconds, guaranteed. So, if you're still here after this warning, I don't want to hear any complaints about the story's pace. You've been duly informed. And hey, as you read, try paying a little more attention to uncover the hidden meanings within the dialogues and monologues. Also, I am not saying that I have done a fantastic job on the writing, No that’s not the point of this. The point is that you the reader don’t waste your time reading something you don’t like. And I don’t get 1-star reviews for a reason as petty as ‘The Chat group took too long to appear’ That's all for now. Back Home

In the end, Shinobu couldn't arrive at a conclusion and because she was too tired she decided to think about it the next day.

But she was in for another shock the next day…

"You're leaving?" Shinobu looked at Yuu who was wearing his straw basket, he looked about ready to leave.

"Yes," Yuu answered flatly.

"Why didn't you tell me about it before?" Shinobu frowned, "There were so many questions I had, not to mention there are so many experiments left to do, How can you just go like this? Who'll give me input on them if you're gone?"

"I want to go and meet my Family," Yuu said and Shinobu froze on the spot.

"Also I answered all of your questions in that book you keep last night, and I am sure you'll be able to carry on without any problems while I am gone, I have also made proper training schedules with higher difficulty, you can choose to advance at your own discretion," Yuu said and Shinobu sighed.

"Sure, sure, just go, but don't complain if I am stronger than you when you come back," Shinobu folded her arms and looked away.

"I won't," Yuu said and left through the front door to see Kanae waiting for him.

"Looks like Shinobu-chan said her goodbyes," Yuu nodded at her words and the two left quickly running through the forest till they arrived at a remote location where no one was looking and...

"Then I'll take my leave, thank you for everything Kanae," Yuu said as he took out his phone and clicked on the [Transfer] button.

And just like that he vanished in thin air right in front of Kanae.

Ding*

Kanae heard a mechanical bell and took out a phone that looked similar to Yuu's from her pocket.

She opened the chat group app like Yuu had taught her yesterday and there she saw a message.

----------

I Love My Family (Owner) -> I've arrived safely

*Attached pic of the view outside of his window.

-------

"Even though I didn't ask for proof," Kanae just smiled softly looking at the photo.

She already got her proof when Yuu's mobile phone became two when he invited her. It was almost like a magic trick she had seen in the market as a child.

That is why she knew that Yuu would try to send her more proof even when she said that she didn't need it. He even went through the trouble to teleport back in front of her.

"Did Yuu-san really think I don't trust him?" Kanae muttered as she turned around but soon she shook her head.

"That's just how Yuu-san is, I guess," Kanae smiled and went back to the Butterfly Mansion.

Everything would continue as it has always till they have to go on a mission.

"I am back home," Yuu muttered looking at his bedroom, it looked the same as when he left it.

It would obviously be that way since not even a second had passed since he left, but for him, it has been a few months.

Yuu quickly changed into the clothes he was wearing before he left and hide the bag alongside the kimono once again.

After that, he opened the door of his room and walked downstairs entering the kitchen.

"Hmm, do you need something Yuu?" Kyouka asked as she looked at him.

She stopped washing the dishes and wiped her hands with a towel, but before she could ask anything more Yuu ran up to her and hugged her tightly.

"What happened? Did you have a hard time sleeping? Should I get you some medicine?" Kyouka was shocked but she asked while rubbing Yuu's back when he didn't answer.

'This kid is still the same even after growing up,' Kyouka smiled gently while slowly patting Yuu's head to ease him up.

"Mom,"

"Yes," Kyouka spoke in a soft tone.

"I am hungry," Yuu said and Kyouka couldn't help but laugh.

"I see, You want some fried rice?" Kyouka giggled and asked since they had just eaten food not too long ago, even then she didn't ask why Yuu became hungry in such a short period of time. For her, it didn't matter all that mattered was…

"Yes," Yuu said.

"Alright I'll make some for you, so sit down on the chair," Kyouka moved back and looked at Yuu's face with a smile.

"Just hold on for a bit for me, ok?" Kyouka kissed Yuu's forehead lightly and then turned around towards the stove.

"I came by to see what was happening since I heard a voice but it is the same old stuff going on here," Yuu looked back and saw Shizuka standing there as she shook her head with a sigh.

This sight was not uncommon in the house since they see it daily.

"What? you want me to comfort you as well, Yuu?" Shizuka smiled mischievously but she didn't expect Yuu to come forward and hug her on his own.

"H-Hey, seriously what happened? Why are you acting like this?" Shizuka was startled at first but she couldn't help but ask Yuu questions while patting his back. She was worried about him and she couldn't hide it seeing him like this.

"Why is it so noisy downstairs today?" Yuuka walked down with Koharu following her closely, it wasn't every day that there was a ruckus in their house at this time of the night.

And as soon as she saw Yuu and Shizuka a big grin appeared on Yuuka's face.

"Oh-ho! So this is what is going on here, huh? Shizuka-nee you are getting really sneaky~," Yuuka said with a mischievous look.

"Why you little? You are lucky that I can't come after you now," Shizuka said and Yuuka just laughed.

"Of course you can't, you need to enjoy the hug if you do that," Yuuka giggled as Shizuka was feeling a weird mix of embarrassment and anger.

In the meantime, Koharu was just looking at Yuu with a worried expression.

"Yuu the fried rice is ready, come and eat," Kyouka's voice came and Yuu went towards the dining table.

"Ah, so he was waiting on his late-night snack again?" Yuuka hit her palm with her fist as she understood what the fuss was about.

"Do you think you have the time to worry about that?!" Shizuka came running towards Yuuka who quickly turned and ran upstairs.

"I am sorry Shizuka-nee, I was just joking!" Yuuka shouted with a panicked look but Shizuka wasn't one to give up.

Koharu just walked into the kitchen and saw Yuu eat the fried rice Kyouka made.

A little while later, Shizuka came down with Yuuka who was in a headlock.

"Ow! Ow! Shizuka-Nee Please forgive me!! It hurts!!" Yuuka could only cry out as she had no chance of defeating Shizuka in a battle of strength.

And Yuuka knew that there was no chance of Shizuka letting her go but she tried, but to her surprise, she was able to break free of Shizuka-s headlock.

'What happened? Did I get stronger?' Yuuka thought till she followed Shizuka's eyes and she was a little stunned as well.

"Did you like it Yuu?" Kyouka asked as she put more fried rice on Yuu's plate and…

"Yes, it is the best," Yuu smiled brightly.

The joy on his face was clear for all four of them to see, and it was very rare to see him smile so brightly.

"I guess I'll just let you off today," Shizuka looked at Yuuka who just smiled, she wanted to tease Shizuka some more but knew that it would land her in deep trouble when she just barely escaped now, Not to mention…

'I guess I'll just let it be today,' Yuuka looked at Yuu who was talking with Kyouka and Koharu while eating, the smile still hadn't left his face.

'I don't want them to be in danger,' Yuu thought looking at his family, all of them were smiling happily while joking around.

'I don't care where that chat group came from or what intentions the people behind this situation have,' Yuu closed his eyes for a moment.

"What are you thinking, Yuu-chan?" Koharu's question made Yuu open his eyes.

"Nothing Haru-nee," Yuu smiled and shook his head.

There was no need to let them know.

'I'll do it on my own and keep them safe no matter what,'
