The stack of letters lay on a tray and was placed on General Adelman's desk by an aide. Usually, there were only a few letters from General Adelman's residence or Guren reporting something. Today, however, the letters on the tray were piled high.
Just looking at the pile made General Adelman feel uncomfortable. He suddenly knew the contents of the letters as if he had been born with the ability to see through them. He pushed the pile of letters aside a little as he picked up the first document to be processed. It contained a report on some thugs who had been caught extorting people outside the fort.
"Don't you want to look at the letters first? What if there's an important letter in there?" Destin, who was also in General Adelman's office on the second floor today, looked at the pile of letters and tried to hold back his laughter.
"No need to look, it's just a marriage proposal!" General Adelman sounded cold and angry.
